Klipsch old KG's where my first highish end speaker id heard in the late 90's but the first highish speakers to get me to go damn dude how is that coming from that speaker was a AAD 7003 bookshelf studio monitor by Phil jones at his house through his amps and about 80k in krell amps and preamps they where obscene and I had to have them
The Klipsch RP 600M were my favorite speakers before I switched to actives (Adam Audio A7V) in late 2022. I liked my 600M even better than my LS50 Metas.
@@Zeos2nd As long as you are given a license that grants you the right to use the music how you please, you are in the legal right to use it forever, they can't take it back. If they do try to and tell UA-cam to flag all videos, they are in the wrong, and you should counter-claim. But if the license is unclear, and it just says "royalties free" in the title, it is basically all right reserved.
I love when you review speakers; wish you'd do it more often. Your review of the Klipsch RF-7 III was one of the reasons I bought 3 of them (for music and my home theater LCR). I have a pair of these RP-600M II's for my front wides, side surrounds, and rear surrounds, and your comments are spot-on. Keep up the great work!!
They are just a harder thing to process. The size plays a part plus the setup is a lot harder and more fixed. I can assess headphones and IEMs while shopping
Another great review Zeos! My first speakers were the Klipsch R15M’s, then the RB81II. But imo the R15M’s had better balance. Always surprised me what that little 5 1/4 could do.
Thanks for your review. I’m looking at these for a home theater/light music listening for the fam. My next door neighbor gave me a SVS PB12 NSD sub I plan on using with them.hopefully they work in my room. I’ll be about 11ft away.
Your reviews are awesome; entertaining education. Hope you could help me out. I have JBL 590s and really enjoy them, but they take up too much space in my room. I have 21” subs to cover the low end, but I need a bookshelf for size constraints that will get me as close to the sound of the 590s as possible. I tried the 530s but they just don’t do it. What bookshelf will get me the closest to the 590s?
You know I just went out and bought 12 of these.. I am going to fill my basement with and drive them with the emotiva gen3 7😊 channel 200w channel amplifier.. in the mean power gig is the pioneer LX505.. and this just in my basement you know for concrete walls 1 inch carpeted concrete floors ended open rafter wood ceiling.. Very enjoyable video thanks so much I did enjoy it.. now listen to some real music by Genesis such as Twilight alehouse the 2008 remix it's enough to blow your ears ensure peace pipe with with something in it that is now become very legitimate to use and expand your existence with..
Klipsch. Pissing off neighbors since 1946! I own both Klipsch RP-600 II speakers and Klipsch Heresy IV speakers. Both do better with a subwoofer playing with them. They also like playing with tube gear. I have mine hooked up to a Black Ice Audio F-35 Integrated amp. with EL34 tubes and a Black Ice Audio tubed DAC Transport.
I had these 600M II's pretty far out from the walls first, but then began moving them closer and closer. Sound just kept improving. They really need a wall behind them, and a very, very mild toe-in. After one day of listening to these... I absolutely love them! They pair wonderfully with a Klipsch R-155SW sub, as expected. Got this pair for about 700 euros, normally they go for almost 900 here. Walnut version, looks pretty good... Not about 900 euros good, but still - good. Oh, and my pair is spread out pretty wide - they seem work better setup like that. I prefer the sound without the grilles on. Bass without a subwoofer isn't good enough for... Anything, really. It rolls off so early that you're losing a ton of "meat". I use a 70 Hz crossover setting, seems to work great. Any music or movie I've heard so far has been amazing. Music sounds alive, like the artists/bands were playing in my living room - like I wasn't listening to speakers. Soundstage is WIDE, and is detailed. Can easily tell where each instrument is playing. They fill my living room really well! Sound isn't too aggressive, but has that exciting factor I was looking for after using a set of calmer speakers for almost a decade. I really like these. Many people don't, but I certainly do.
I stumbled on pure gold with my RP-600Ms by adjusting the tilt back so the speakers are aimed 6-8 inches above my ears. This expanded the soundstage and imaging . Worth a try.
@@blue6point62 After writing my original comment, I have moved mine closer together, keeping the mild toe-in. Went through just about any other variant of placement possibilities in my living room, except for the tilting you mentioned.
sounds like your theory is also working it's way into passive speakers like with subs when you have to crawl around the floor to find the best spot for the bass.
I'm tring to find the BEST left and right channel bookshelf speakers under $1000/pair for me and I'm having trouble. Help! Any recommendations? I want something that gives me a large and accurate soundstage, clarity and depth, high detail retrieval.
What about the Ohm Walsh 2000 I was saving up to buy? Those fit my cabin, the price is good and I can easily move them so they do not get burned if this mountain ever has a fire. I have a Von Schweikert ten inch 800 KVA subwoofer also. That would go with these. But on either side of a great fireplace I like idea of floor standers.
I have the 160M and really enjoy them but they were also a steal at around $200usd. Would love to hear a comparison but I can't see myself paying the difference to upgrade, even if it seemed worthwhile.
I have the rp6000 towers and I love them, but I fell for the online anti-Klipsch BS and bought some Elacs and JBLs and what-not.. all sounded way too neutral compared to the Klipsch, really no fun to listen to. Im back to the Klipsch. If they are paired with a bright amp they can get fatiguing, but toeing them out fixes it.
Surprised you haven't treated the back wall. The towers in the back and sides definitely affect your final sound. I know you have limited space. But a dedicated room with some treatments would make very good speakers sound great.
I have the Mk1 speakers. Added GR Research upgrade and additional bracing to the cabinet. Now they are up there with the best bookshelf speakers I have heard.

@@Zeos2nd Well, another commenter mentioned streambeats, which is pretty much the least likely chance of ever getting a copyright strike, so there's that
I think the Dali Oberon 3 are a much better sound overall from what I’ve listened. I own the Klipsch The Sevens by the way😏. I was thinking of getting the Dali Oberon 3 and the SVS wireless Pro Soundbase… but it would have been more money🤷🏾♂️
I hear you brother! The Klipsch RP600M were so blah that I bought single driver speakers out of spite. Where the vocals at!? Why do guitars sound like plastic junk!? Anyways, the speakers are called OGY and they eat Klipsch RP600M for breakfast.
Boy do I miss your play list speaker demos. I know UA-cam kicks you off and you need money and sound over UA-cam isn't the best but I still miss it. But I can't afford to pay to get it back.

There is a misconception that it's a horn Tweeter still, it technically is no longer a compression horn. It's actually just a tweeter with a rubberized cone to help disperse the frequency

Bet those would perform incredibly well in a medium size room with walls on all sides.
