i am from Trichy guys. thanks a lot for visiting this place because most of the tourist won't come to trichy because it doesn't have many tourist places like many other cities of tamilnadu. i can well say that trichy people are one of the most hospitable people. i also wanted to recommend you guys if you go to any other cities of tamilnadu please check silk saree ( traditional wearing for women) it will look soo gorgeous. it is fully made of pure silk and it's also costly. it is famous all over india but it was created in tamilnadu and exported from tamilnadu. so you can see authentic silk saree. i wish you a safe and enjoyable journey in india
When I was in my school days, there were numerous tourists everyday, like in Chennai or mahabalipuram. As Trichy is in center, and people could travel around to visit tanjore, kumbakonam, madurai etc historical architectures n wonders... due to lack of govnt efforts or promotions to support tourism, tamilnadu historical sites are not even in list of must visit places by various tourist agencies..
Hey guys, 1) That brown coloured fruit is called Sapota in tamil(Sapodilla in English, Chikoo in Hindi) it's a really tasty and sweet fruit which is worth trying and can be consumed with or without the skin. 2) Boondhi is made from deep frying chickpea flour (also called gram flour), if you let it dry and add some chilly powder, it get's crunchy and becomes a savoury snack. If you take the fried boondhi and soak them in sugar syrup you get the one you were eating/ And if you roll these in to balls with cashew, almonds and raisins, it becomes a ladoo. And these are not candy, they are classified as sweets. 3) The samosa you tried had onion as the major filling, but you should try the samosa with potato filling which is the original one and also less oily. 4) That other snack you tried was urulai kilangu(Potato) bajji. The slice potato is coated it with gram flour and rice flour and other ingredients and deep fried. Instead of potato, it can be onion, raw banana slices(my favourite) or chilly(a specific type which is edible enough and not too spicy). 5) The snack which was recommended by the localite is made from rice and wheat flour batter along with jaggery and other ingredients and deep fried. All the above snacks are usually eaten along with tea(chai) or coffee. When it comes to tea(chai) in Tamil Nadu, you need to specifically ask for masala chai else you will get the ordinary milk with tea version in all the shops. And yes we call it tea and not chai. 6) The snack that you tried after tea, bonda is made from rice and gram flour batter along with onion, chilly, coriander, and other ingredients 7) And yes, Trichy is not known as a tourist destination it's mainly a place for temple visits. You should visit Ranganathaswamy Temple, Srirangam which has the largest gopuram for a temple. It's the island temple you were talking about.
The gentleman in that tea shop paid for the items that he ordered for you guys. That's why it was only 48 Rs. only. That was a little treat for you guys from him. We are always happy and excited when someone else tries our food and culture.

Welcome to Tamilnadu... I appreciate you guys for choosing Tamilnadu as your starting point to India... Usually explorers start from Northern part of India... First... I'm you started from Tamilnadu.. Starting from sweets, it's a tradition in Tamilnadu ("Normally it's an Indian Thing") Each and every Celebrations will begin with sweets... That's why you can see lots and lots of sweet stalls where you go in India... In the tea stall the first dish you ate was a regular Samosa... The second dish is called potato bajji (which is basically made of dried chickpeas flour, potato, food colour & little bit of chilli powder)
Appam made from all purpose flour, maybe some coconut milk & brown sugar Bonda (its called onion bonda(there are plenty of varity of bondas are there) made from dried chickpea flour, onion, curry leaves & chilli powder

Hi. Both of you are such a nice and sweet couple. So, happy to see you visiting Trichy Rockfort. I think you might have missed the inner cave carved halls within the Rockfort. They are quite large halls, with multiple deities, and may take around 1 hour to half half an hour to walk around those cave carved halls. It's my hometown. I never thought you would vlog my city. Because usually foreigners visit Chennai and pondicherry but not cities like Trichy , madurai etc. ❤️
41:09 In Hindu families, we have small idols of our deities in our homes (known as "kul devta" (family gods) or "ishta devta"(favorite gods)), whom we worship everyday. and the things hanging on stores are like clothes which we make them wear. We have a saying in Sanskrit "yatha dehe tatha deve" which translates literally to "as body, similarly god" and roughly to "you should worship the idols the same way you treat your body ". So we bath them with hot water, decorate them in colorful clothes, flowers, ornaments and jewelry, apply perfume ("itra") to them and lastly present them our everyday food and later eat that food like "prasad" (offerings). So those were all the clothes for small idols of gods at home.
Tamilnadu FYI is the place most visited by local and international tourists (mostly expats). But sadly people abroad are not aware of this southern gem which has everything that a country will have. Yes. In TN, it's just called "Tea"! There is a Tamil word for it (thay-neer), but not many use it. Tea flies well. Chai will also be understood.
After Sri-lanka's visit now following you in india...amazing tours and thanks immensely for all your hardworking ....All the very best beautiful couple....❤️🌻🌞
Hello guys, Welcome to India. I'm sure you are going to have an incredible and a memorable journey. Love from Tamilnadu, India.
Brown colored fruit is called as Sapota which is very rich in Iron and other micro nutrients .. you must try one day.. you can find them all over India
Wow fantastic! Thank you 🙏
Welcome to Tamilnadu...
Appam made from all purpose flour, maybe some coconut milk & brown sugar
Bonda (its called onion bonda(there are plenty of varity of bondas are there) made from dried chickpea flour, onion, curry leaves & chilli powder
Indian street foods mostly costs less...
Thanks for your visit and experience in our lovely country. I really admire the way you both handle your camera.. nice co-ordination ...

India showcases spontaneity of continuous homegrown civilization and view of life of duties.

You made me feel ssssssaaaaaaaaaddddddddd. Remembering my countless visits to the rockfort temple for meditation and my home town of Srirangam. From USA. Thank you and stay Happy!!
Thank you so much for watching ❤️
Mayil maark is one of trichy’s oldest and famous sweet shops. I remember my parents used to get paal gova which means milk sweet and it used to be amazing. Good ol’ days!
Thanks for sharing❤️ we love Trichy dearly
Wow Wow Wow.. Welcome to my Native.. I am truly touched with your words about the place.. Thanks Mate :)
I am from Trichy. Lots of love 💕. Have a safe and great experience
36:10 this is one of the richest, biggest(~156 acres) temples in India, namely ranganathaswamy temple(UNESCO world's heritage site) and it has the second largest gopuram ((tower)~239.5 ft) in India, built in 9th century A.D. located in an island called Srirangam. Have you tried Srirangam? (I'm from trichy only)
You guys are doing great ❤❤❤ from trichy
You guys are very positive respectful keep it up ❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
This is first time am seeing foreigner exploring my hometown many of them will visit Chennai only both are doing good job subscribed ✅
lot of the traditional eateries in the South India esspecially in Kerala Tamil Nadu serve food on banana leaves which have lot of health benefits. also other thing about traditional Indian eateries if you need extra vegetable or curry they would refill for free generally. though for extra non veg items you need to pay extra.
❤️Welcome to South India ❤️ Especially Tamilnadu❤️
❤️🙏😊
Damn guys I am salivating on everything you are eating in Thruchirappalli, my birth place.
Welcome to Trichy guys... If ur still there do visit Kalanai -- one of the oldest dams built by chola king Karikala almost 1000 years back. Still in perfectly operation condition... It's a nice place too... Hope u had fun
Bro kallanai 2000years old🔥😈
My hearty welcome to India and both of you may explore many places in southern part of India ❤️ from historical temples in Tamilnadu
13:52 Either its a potato bajji or Plantain Bajji. Very good if you have it with chutney. You could have asked any of the folks there
36:25 The temple is Srirangam, officially the LARGEST functioning temple on earth (smaller than Angkor wat but this is functional and temple extends to the whole island with its entrances)
It's Potato Fritters that you had at 13:55. Made using Besan flour, chili powder, Salt, and a pinch of turmeric(Something similar to Marination used for barbecues), but this one is deep fried. A popular snack across India, you can make fritters out of Potatoes, Onions, Eggplants, and sometimes, hard-boiled eggs.
Walking👣 in Chennai is absolutely mind blowing🎉🎉🎉❤❤😊
Loved your TEETHFUL experience of Chennai coffee😊😊😊❤
Enjoy your Chennai views of shops, roads n people🎉❤😊
Chennai snacks are wonderful😊🎉❤
Trichy is a historical place with 2000 year recorded history.
My college days.. Have walked every place in this video with my friends.. Now only Happy tears of Memories resides.. Thanks for Bringing back my memories 🥰🥰
I like your videos bcz both of you are very simple and down to earth and ready to accept us as how we are, our culture as well.
❤️🙏🇮🇳 thank you for your support
13:52 that is called bajji in Tamil...banana, potato, onion, mixed veg ...lot of varieties of bajji
It's my hometown. I never thought you would vlog my city. Because usually foreigners visit Chennai and pondicherry but not cities like Trichy , madurai etc. ❤️
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for your support and for this information 🙏
Loads & loads of positivity from you guys...keep it up and happy exploring...
❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Since you are in Trichi visit grand anicut which is built by chola king over 2000 years ago.. That is one of the oldest dam in the world

Hi brother and sister 🙂 I'm from India South part of Tamil nadu ❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😘🙂😍Tamil.....
.......welcome come to India, Tamil nadu 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Tamilnadu FYI is the place most visited by local and international tourists (mostly expats). But sadly people abroad are not aware of this southern gem which has everything that a country will have. From mountains, deserts, forests, seas and the plains. Great you took the initiative to reach Tamilnadu first.
The most visited by expats or tourists is Mumbai and Delhi.
Love from Chennai, Tamilnadu.
@@Danny-wb2zr Nice to know. But what i told is different and based on what i saw from the official tourism site
@@bloggernatzm9295 Actually you are partially true as also huge no of Tamils from Malaysia and Singapore also come to visit on tourist visa but it will actually be meeting extended family and friends. Its lesser in the case of other states.
@@renny841 Thats correct. Maybe ill extend this to NRI's and PIOs👍
Happy to see my motherland through your videos. Lots love from Singapore 🇸🇬
❤️🙏
in the year 2022 city of Mahabalipuram in tamil nadu is most visited among foreigner more than overrated white marble World wonder. seems like finally foreigners starting to see the true beauty of India. maybe it is time foreign bloggers visit and experience it🙏
That's mamallapuram
Don't spit ur hatred for the Taj here. Unity in diversity is the moto. Don't be angry for what their ancestors had done to ur ancestors.Same thing happened to them too. Stop playing the victim role and keep peace.
@@sachxx No one showing off the Taj as the best. It's u hypocrites are spitting the hate , glorifying one nd disrespecting the other.Glorify both, dumbos.
@@sachxx Lol! Go learn what a coloniser means.
So happy to see you guys in the town where I grew up. I have now settled in Melbourne and still recall all the good ole days as a kid and a teenager in Trichy.
Most lovable people's from tiruchirapalli ❤️
Almost all the below comments are friendly and supportive our visiting foreign guests... this is our Indian culture.. 'Atti Dévó Bhavą'-> Meaning, our guests are Gods. And oh yes, my grandma would quip, people in Trichy are super friendly and warm...this was about 30 years ago...and seeing you video brought back those impressions...thankyou.. Like every India city, Trichy too would require atleast a week of stay to explore... and that Srirangam temple is the first of the Divya stal(Holy place) on planet earth, slated to be over 1.7million years of age, from consecration. The deity is Bhagwaan(Lord) Vishnu in sleeping posture. Welcome to Trichy and India=Bharat
guys please visit the himachal pradesh, uttarakhand, kashmir, leh-ladakh, sikkim, meghalaya, arunachal pradesh, goa, nagaland (dzukou valley), kolkata, rajasthan, andaman, lakshadweep, punjab (golden temple) phew i basically named whole of india except south where u r in right now🤣, its just a suggestion u can visit these places.
Bro im from Chennai...i have a plan to visit Kashmir....but when i search in UA-cam......it shows its dangerous.....but i love to visit kashmir because in south we dont have ❄️ snow....so can u please let mw know?
@@a.i6141 i am not from kashmir but it is absolutely safe to visit kashmir , if it is unsafe it would be closed for tourists, so no worries , i myself have visited it in 2016 no problems, trust me its out of the world , pahelgaon , soanmarg, gulmarg its a one time experience, go fr it, the army is everywhere guarding the place , and nobody bothers tourists, recently a turkish and french youtuber went there in their bikes, they faced absolutely no problem, even some locals were seen saying its absolutely safe to visit this place.
@@hustler5396 Thanks for sharing ☺️

The temple you mentioned from top of the rockfort temple is SRIRANGAM. It is situated on an island surrounded by river Kauveri. It is the primary temple for lord Vishnu followers. It is also the largest functional temple complex in the world
Man trichy is the dream place of JEE aspirants ( one of the toughest engineering exams) due to NIT Trichy
It's finally feels good to see my home town being called the kind town considering friends here don't even address each other as friends.(I prefer the term allies)
