Bahnhof Kandersteg filmed on an evening in February 2005 during heavy snowfall. Amazing colours of signals, SBB and BLS trains, a unique capture of the atmosphere of this stunning place.
This is a widescreen version upscaled from 4:3 SD to 16:9 HD of a part of the Bahnhof Kandersteg in the winter film from February 2005, REOS DVD 072, that has already been released on YT.
0:01 A EW IV shuttle arrives from Brig, and departs to Spiez
2:18 A pair of BLS 485's pass at track speed to the North with a freight train
3:30 A BLS car shuttle arrives, car's start to embark
5:08 A Re 460 arrives with an IR EW IV to Brig, and departs after a stop
7:14 A pair of BLS Re 4/4 arrive with the Ewals Cargo Care shuttle and stop to get a BLS Re 4/4 Banker uncoupled, a EW IV arrives from Brig, the banker return to Spiez
11:03 Re 10/10 red passes to the North with mixed freight rain
12:07 The signals indicate the next train is coming
12:28 A pair of BLS Re 4/4 rush thru the station at track speed leaving a trail of snow!

Fantastic train video 👍🏻 I stood on that station in April 2017 for my 60 birthday present from my fiancée 😀 Saw some freight trains but not as many as I’d of liked lol 😆 as there now running underneath 🤣 Stevie 🇬🇧

As a lighting tech, I've always appreciated the camera settings you use for night shots - snow scenes, of course, are always a special case at any time of day and this clip merely confirms the depth of your talent.
On a related note, it appears that most of the drivers coming off the Autoverlad are using wide beam rather than dipped headlights - at first glance that seems potentially hazardous - from memory, did those lights look as though they could dazzle the driver of an oncoming train or is that just a side effect of your aperture setting?
Overall a very satisfying clip to start the new year - wish you the best 2019!

The settings on the camera where standard, with ND of. I think the lights of the car's dazzle because the height of the train and plaftorm where the cars are seems to be a bit higher then where I was standing, and I was on the right side, seen from the car's perspective, lights are adjusted to be clearer in that direction.
