Man, I can totally agree with this one. Even now it's hard for me to look at the new face without cringing a little, Peter just looks way too young. His old face gave him a much more mature and worn down look, like he's been doing all the Spider Man stuff for years, while struggling to juggle his life outside of that. He had this much more experienced and relatable feel. I also still got an emotional attachment from playing the first time through back when the game released.
The new one isn't trash but I don't like it. His face has zero emotion. When ain't may died he only liked mildly sad meanwhile with the old one you could see all the emotions. Plus the old face was perfect imo it had a combination of all live action Spider-Man faces his face resembled them all.
I'm so glad that Miles Morales improved on the stealth. There's finally a wall and celling takedown, and you can even do full stealth bases. Even a small change like that is real nice
53:57 Fun fact, when you enter the lab, immediately to the left are 3D printers. Midway through the game, you can see that he 3D printed the devices for Rhino (the device that'd help him get out of his suit) and Electro (the device that helps him become "pure energy"). Idk if the game shows him 3D-printing for the rest, but Rhino's and Electro's gear were the only ones I could find. Just wanted to point out how Doc Ock's descent into villainy was so subtle, yet if you play the games again, it's clear as crystal.
This game made me feel like a nerd who analysed every thing about the games and movies. Spiderman is the thing that kept my childhood the happiest it could be
Except that it looked wonky as hell everytime Spidey touched the wall? Game has amazing animations but that scene put on full display that it's not perfect.
That’s what I’m saying I saw his videos on the Arkham series which was personally one of my favorite game series and I just absolutely loved it then subscribed
To me the problem with Peter's new face, is that it looks like hes wearing makeup, like if hes in a movie. His face also looks brighter than all of the other characters
He definitely looks a lot better in the Miles game, which leads me to believe that they really only did it for this one so that the face could be "consistent" across all the games moving forward.
Finally, someone addresses the lifetime supply of backpacks. I've gotten really tired of people saying Peter spent a fortune on backpacks he keeps losing
@@jamesrwc4738 He got first place in a science fair. He could have cached a check that was funded by Fisk, and Peter didn’t feel right using that money knowing where it’s coming from, the alternative was the lifetime supply of backpacks, so he took that and told everyone he actually took the money and got laser eye surgery
It’ll be announced either late this year or early next year can’t wait I wonder how there gonna do peters animations Na cause miles absolutely shit on Peter when it came to web swinging and combat besides the gadgets

I don't even dislike the new face as Spidey, but it just feels wrong to have Yuri's voice come out of this face after a full game that spent so much time with that face on display. Like I'd be fine with it as a different incarnation of Spidey, it's just jarring after how well the old face suited this version of him. Plus he looks way too young next to Miles.

the only stealth mission i enjoyed was the Rhino & Miles one because of how tense it was, like you mentioned. it legitimately made my heart race the way the massive steps would get closer and closer, stop, then fast as Rhino sprints passed where you are. even my brother in the room said “i’m not even playing and i’m stressed out”

Oops! Turns out my technology curse is present here as nobody else seemed to have any crashes. Mr Negative is a separate entity from Martin Li. Hence why Martin has no control over him. The reason Martin seems so in control when we see him is because it’s actually Mr Negative using Li as a puppet of sorts. Thank you to Kennith for pointing it out.
Bro did you see after the collab that Whitelight did you dirty and covered Arkham Asylum? He's encroaching on your turf with his majestic voice. A declaration of war as far as I'm concerned. Is this you clapping back?
Lol no I don’t think that’s what he’s doing. I’m not the first to cover an Arkham game and I doubt I’ll be the last. I think we just both enjoy the same games and want to make videos on said games. Plus his videos are far different from mine. Show his videos some love!
I would love to hear your thoughts on the Hotline Miami series. If you liked My Friend Pedro, it’s got just as great music, just as much addictive gameplay, and it was also published by Devolver Digital which is dope!
Only thing awful about the story is MJ's explanation for dumping peter. Now. I can understand not wanting to date a superhero. But she dumps Peter for "treating her like a baby," Like. Wut??? *there isn't a single moment where Pete talks down to her* MJ goes into dangerous areas without a weapon. (Until last mission) MJ ends up being saved more than 3 times in this game. I get they wanted her to be strong. But she ends up ironically being a damsel. Also, having her disable a bomb is just stupid.
I absolutely hate the way they turned MJ into Lois Lane making her an ungrateful brat. She routinely puts herself in danger and Spider-Man has to get in there to save her life multiple times even in this game and then she gets mad at him for saving her life. It's unbelievable that he would stay with her after this level of emotional abuse. I wish they would actually portray Mary Jane like in the 20th century comics where she is a Carefree model on the surface but a deeply troubled and insecure individual below the surface. She's also tough and knocks out criminals with martial arts and also knows how to use a gun against the Green Goblin LOL
While that's true, MJ in this story is just more of her own character. She doesn't really want Peter's help a lot of the time, but sometimes she still needs it, they didn't communicate well enough, but by the end of the game, they are in sync with each other.
One thing that I also loved about the game is the twitter-like social feed. You can access it via the map and it's a lot of fun. It adapts according to the story but also your actions in the game. You can read people complaining if you threw trash in your last fight for example. It gets pretty somber when tragic events happen in the story (for example, the death of the teacher killed by Martin Li during the Halloween party). Almost every character in the game has an account, so it's fun to see them interact together. There's even a JJJ troll account lol. To me, this, among other things that you talked about in the video, contributed to make the experience feel very grounded. You can tell this game was made by fans!
dude. please don’t ever stop making videos. you’re one of those creators on youtube who have INSANE amounts of quality and professionalism with your videos but unfortunately don’t have an amount of subscribers that reflects that just yet. i’ve shown your videos to two of my closest friends in hopes of spreading you around and they both have very similar positive opinions on your work as i do. as long as you stick to these high quality and carefully and passionately crafted videos, you will get the amount of viewers that you deserve man. have a good one, and many more to follow
Honestly J. Jonah Jameson’s audio bits are one of my favorite things in the game. Not only are they funny, but they react accordingly to what you do as Spider-Man. Really made it feel like the side content you chose to do didn’t go unnoticed and made the world feel a bit more alive Edit: Idk about anyone else but I’m interested in a video about the DLC
@@00Batman I wish they had like police or news copters watching you as you were fighting crime, doing commentary or adding some dialogue to the scene. It would have been a bit more immersive, like the world is watching and cheering, and some like JJ are judging you as you go about your spidey duties
I also like the *SPOILERS* fact that in the ones that you get during the Devil's Breath virus have J.J.J saying empowering stuff, and I enjoy that, alot! *Idk why they appeared pre-Pax in Bello, but the first 2 actually fit for the stalling that you were doing for not doing the mission*
Back when this first came out on PS4 I bought the highest collectors edition you could buy for like 100 bucks, it was the only time I've ever bought an edition like that. It was then the first game I ever went out of my way to 100% and collect every achievement for, I even went out of my way to 100% all of the DLC.
This game is the most addicting game I’ve ever played. As of today 3 years after the release I’m still playing the story over and over again. I still somehow get amazed and taken aback when Doc Ock is revealed.
I wasn't a huge fan of Mr. Negative. He wasn't terrible but he just didn't stand out to me. Doc Ock definitely was the antagonist carrying the game. He had a good story that had me going, "Oh no..." when I saw the arms on his back the first time, despite him not being a bad guy yet. I knew what was coming of course but I was so invested in his story and goal that it broke my heart seeing him fall. Aunt May was everything I remember May from the Raimi trilogy being. And her telling Peter to take off his mask so she could say goodbye was a nearly perfect scene.
I don't quite agree that traversal has enough freedom to do anything that expressive. Things you can't do: - shoot a 2nd webline while you're swinging - do a loop de loop - swing low and run along to the ground while holding on to the webline. Also in the one ps4 cutscene Spidey swings so low that he slides his hand across the ground. - do a wallrun while holding on to your web and jump off like Tom Cruise in Ghost Protocol - seemlessly mix in rooftop parkour with uniform momentum (into the spider-verse has a great example of this in the what's up danger scene) - holding on to your webline at the end of a swing, just to mess around - also wallcrawling is jank, when it should be a natural extension of Spidey. Clearly the priority is in speeding around as fast as possible, so the more controlled ninja-like acrobatics and creepy crawling are vastly overlooked. Those additions would greatly enhance the stealth-experience.
I loved doing stealth in the Amazing Spider-Man games. These games are exclusives to the playstation family (hopefully in the future that changes but I'm not holding my breath) so they can calibrate the movement for the controller. Like a slow, mid slow, medium, mid fast, and fast. It was also frustrating to not be able to go back to stealth in the bases. I think Miles fixed that but I can't remember.
i just love how peter voice acting is when he's swinging his web and doing stuff like fighting peter is out of breathe and you can clearly tell during convos with characters but when he's sitting there, walking or doing casual stuff he seems energetic and well rested
In all honesty, the new story review style is much like this game. Pretty good, but could use some refining. The going back and forth between the middle of the story and the end is a little jarring. Like telling Otto's character arc in its entirety before finishing the story review. I like it, but it could use some work.
@@ThatBoyAqua yes please. If you talk about the character arcs after the story, it will be in a section. Keeping the back and forth to a minimum. Thank you for listening to my critique Edit: I am sorry I misread that. That idea is also a pretty good solution. You're brief summary after the story would let you say your thoughts while simultaneously keeping the story review going. Again, I apologize for the misread.

Wow, you’re probably one of my favorite reviewers now. Long and extensive reviews talking about the many topics from a game, being as inclusive as possible, now that’s a review/analysis of a game (specially one like spider-man). Keep up the good work 👍
Marvels Spider-Man showcases that you can have a simple plot and still make people laugh, cry, and just genuinely care. When Aunt May died I was so heartbroken, and I genuinely cheered when Stan Lee made an appearance. Throughout the entire game I knew Doc Ock was Peter's boss, but his reveal was still handled incredibly well. Harry's reveal as Venom really got me hyped for a sequel, and I especially liked that they continued to tease it in Miles Morales. I also agree with you about Peter's new face. You put into words what I was thinking playing the remaster, as Peter's maturity was a big part of why I liked Spider-Man ps4. With the remaster I can't help but feel like something's lost. Very enjoyable video, keep up the good work :)
I might be the only one who wasn't affected at all by Aunt May's death. We didn't spend any time with her outside of the first cutscene and a couple of phone calls I didn't feel that she was a present or important part of Peter's life during the game she was just on the side. I think it would have been more tragic if Martin Li or Mary Jane had died instead since you spend more time in the game with them and have more emotional moments then just 1 cutscene
I just wanna say this is one of the best Super Hero games ever. I don't really see why UA-camrs compare the combat to Arkham. Arkham has great combat, but it's way more restrictive. And Batman barely can't fight people head on with guns. Meanwhile , spiderman can use air combos, easily fight people with guns and bazookas, and can move faster thanks to his web.
I know right, they are 2 completely different heroes with 2 completely different skill sets. Spidey has spidey sense, wall climbing, super strength, flexibility and healing. Batman is a human man, that can’t heal on the spot, above average strength, his smarts and instincts, and his skills
I dont really know what you mean, combat in arkham flows from one enemy to the next and has batman jumping between foes just like in spiderman, even has the indicator to counter before an attack like spiderman has the dodge. Spiderman has more to it and it’s definitely not just an arkham clone but the flow of combat is comparable and it’s not as if the comparison’s don’t make sense
After playing through Spiderman 2 I'm REALLY looking forward to your video on that. I'm almost done with the main story and I've done a bunch of the side missions too and this is about as good of a sequel as we reasonably could have expected. But the best thing about it from a narrative perspective is that it's a great sequel to both Spiderman 2018 and Miles Morales. Peters story is expanded on as much as a sequel should and the same goes for Miles regardless his game.
I'm a critical dude but I honestly really enjoy your honesty and hearing your opinions being presented in a kind and open manner. You're pretty funny too. Subscribed with notifications.
In regards to Martin Li and his powers, I think I have it figured out. When he was medicating and repressing his powers, it would stay in check, but in moments of emotional stress it would lash out, altering his appearance, his thoughts, etc. It wasn't until he took action and gave into his desire of revenge that he would control the energy. To simplify, him repressing his powers caused them to build up and explode, when he stopped repressing them, he was able to control them
Batman took the battle system from Spider-Man 2 (2004) upgraded it a bit and changed it up with a counter instead of a dodge. While Marvel's Spider-Man just upgraded the battle system from 2004 and keeping the dodge. If anything Batman copied Spider-Man first
the most bizarre coincidence in this universe has to be miles showing who he thought was just some random guy his spider powers, only for the random guy to be spider-man himself *not even to mention how insane it was for the 42 spider to stay on MJ all the way from the penthouse to f.e.a.s.t. AND not bite her instead*
I like how the QTEs are based on the buttons for those commands, like having the button be triangle for a web strike or the L2 and R2 for holding the helicopter up
Even if I were to compare it to the Arkham games, which were by far my favorite superhero games up to now, I still think the combat here is superior. Mainly because it just feels way smoother. To be fair, the fact that it's Spider-Man helps because he can close bigger distances more believably, but still. I still think it's weird to compare every single combat system that may feel slightly the same as Arkham to newer games, I still get it.
Somethings wrong with your PS5, I beat the remaster twice, once in fidelity and another in performance RT and it was always in 30 or 60 FPS depending in the mode, and I never experienced a crash once
Same here. Although I did have some instances of enemies getting stuck inside a wall that I could only defeat by web slamming the ground over and over agaib
I've beaten the game as well as Miles Morales several times with no problems at all, but just an hour ago my sister was over so I let her play some Miles Morales, and during a regular cuts cutscene it just froze and the whole system had to reset itself (not like a normal crash), differently stuff happens.
My ps5 hasn't crashed after thirty WHOLE minutes of Cyberpunk 2077. I'm getting a refund. I didn't pay for a game that fortunately WORKS for me. Disgraceful.
The way you describe the traversal system absolutely hit the nail on the head. I am at a loss to think of another that is as smooth and well designed and this one.
Web of Shadows. Seriously watch gameplay footage or white lights review on the web of Shadows game or the PS4 game to see what you're missing out on. It's simply the most in-depth and engaging traversal system in gaming with an accessible move set but a high level of skill is rewarded with faster traversal. The game never puts itself on autopilot if you hold the R2 button
58:07 I can’t be the only one who hates this line right? It makes MJ sound attention hungry and selfish which I know she isn’t, but this line could have been worded very VERY differently. it’s the exact opposite of what everyone expects from a hero, doing good things not for the attention.
the day before this video came out i unlocked the platinum for this game is anyone loves this game and wants to get more from it I highly suggest going for the platinum it feels like you played this game to the max and feels like you've gotten more than you payed for.
Another thing with Otto's secret base at the _Crows Nest_ is that there's a backpack there with a paper Peter wrote that got him his job working for Otto
Found one my new fav channels. Wish I found it later so I had more to watch lol. Great stuff. Million sub tier content for sure. Apparently I watched your lego super heroes video in the past.
For the "Just an Arkham Clone" Just look at 2004's Spider-Man 2: The Game, when you really think about it, Marvel Spider-Man is basically a Remake of the 2004 game. Gameplay wise, it literally plays identical, instead of counter attacking enemies you dodge their attacks as soon as your Spider Sense is present and there's no Combat Freeflow like the Arkham games have. Plus you can also fight enemies in mid air and Similar to the Adrenaline Meter in Marvel Spider-Man PS4, you can fill up you reflex Meter by beating up bad dudes or do Air Tricks in 04's Spider-Man 2: The Game. Even Angry Joe stated that in his Marvel Spider-Man PS4 Review.
Yeah but that's the difference... counter-attacks instead of just a Dodge. Late-game enemies will (ridiculously) block your melee attacks so you have to either web them up or counter them in order to deal any damage. Compared to Arkham and Spider-Man PS4 dodging or countering attacks with a single button no further input needed. Also the combo score the close-range softlock the Rhythm the instant take down button and the gadgets (although executed horribly in PS4) with even the same button are identical to Arkham and were not at all present in Spider-Man 2. Edit: grammar Edit: yes Spider-Man 2 had a reflex meter and yes Spider-Man PS4 has a similar meter used for instant takedowns or combat healing. However the combo charge system was unique to Arkham and that it actually increases the rate of focus gained per hit if you maintained it and increased it. The combo counter is lost after about 3 seconds and must be maintained per encounter Spider-Man 2 didn't have anything like that
From someone who's real last name is Parker I lived my whole childhood thinking spiderman was my cousin so he's always been my favorite and this game feels like living in spidermans world not just playing a game
Btw, if you run up a wall and hold circle when you reach the top you don't launch yourself off and instead transition into running on top of the roof Also, I like the adaptive triggers because they activate when you reach the arc of your swing, so it feels like the web gaining tension is giving you resistance
27:21 The one I use the most is Spider-Bro, which is a varient of the Spider Drone that electricutes a bunch of enemies, letting you punch em' till they drop
1:06:56 The fun thing about Gloria is she becomes a recurring interactive character at FEAST and you get to see her develop and get back on her feet. Great subtle character arc! Just got the platinum trophy yesterday and and currently working thru the rest of the DLC before hopping on Miles Morales’ story.
Not at all. Spider-Man PS4 you can spam one button to be invulnerable. It also doesn't discourage button mashing whatsoever there's no falling out of free flow mode or Banning access to higher damage moves. There's also no mixing up your strategy for different enemies it's just dodge hit and spam gadgets Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat have a similar combo game one isn't much more stripped-down than the other
@@justcasual4214 nope sorry. Spamming dodge and hit or spam web gadgets is the easiest path with no resistance. If you aren't doing either you are wasting time
@@jp3813 notice the adjective "much". Mortal Kombat still has much more depth than PS4 and spamming will make you predictable and more easily countered and killed. It is more accessible but it is not without challenge
Peter's relationship with Doc is such a highlight to me. The way you just know it'll end badly, whether in this game or a sequel. But you can't hope but for it to last just one more cutscene and then boom. It's now villain time.
Yes, but it’s more noticeable in gameplay. Maybe my eyes are poor but when playing on PS4 I was not able to notice the mask outside of cutscenes. Is it present in gameplay?
@@ThatBoyAqua I’m pretty sure it’s present in gameplay but not as noticeable on the PS4 version. It’s equally noticeable in the cutscenes of both the games, though. I know when the demo came out years ago people were talking about it on Twitter with mixed reception. I personally love it and it provides extra realism. Never been a fan of the putting on the mask and then the cut to a onesie, makes 0 sense imo.
My takeaway from this video is that the game is FUN. The thing that gets me about the face is they made him better looking and if this was done to a female main character you better believe there would be hell to pay
It's not like Mary Jane or Miles Morales look any different either I don't believe that they had to make the facial change considering they didn't have to do it in the first game
@@MartinJHenebury exactly. Don’t see the point at all except to make him look more like Tom Holland or maybe make him look like the upcoming Spider-Man in the avengers game.
I almost agree with you when you say "best superhero game"... It's the best behind the arkham games (origins included), but I mean I'm biased as batman is my favourite superhero, so I can respect the opinion :) great video bro!
29:50 actually you can perform ceiling takedowns when you’re indoors. An example of where one such takedown would take place is the museum after Pete meets up with MJ.
I disagree with the traversal. While it is accessible and fluid it sacrifices depth for it. No matter what you do or how bad you screw up the game will fix your mistake which really decreases the skill gap. There's also barely any variation in what you can do. Swinging, forward web zip, wall running, wall cornering, point launch, parkour, diving, the very sad wall zip and the pitiful air tricks. Here's list of things you can't do. Running down walls Wall sliding Upward, backwards, or sideways zip, Wall latch Wall latch jumping Horizontal wall zip Web climbing Swing boosting Pole latching All of these things are from web of shadows so I'm not even including the other 5 open world Spider-Man games. 7 good traversal options is just pathetic for a Spider-Man game when Web of shadows has twice as many. I hope that in the sequel they add everything from web of shadows and add new things to make a definitive swinging system.
@@MartinJHenebury Honestly if Web of shadows got a remastered and had the PS4 games graphics I would play it more than the PS4 game. It's just that the city looks so ugly even for a 360 game.
I rly hope the sequel has some gliding with the web-wings (or what they're called), since they were teased in a collectable backpack. Imagine Just Cause 3's gliding + Spidey's webswinging, oh boy, oh boy
Please do arkham asylum, miles moralws and city that never sleeps, your arkham series is one of my favourite UA-cam binges, and I know that a Spider-man series could... Be greater! Hehehe
3:53 I'm glad you mention this, the scene where Peter is chastising Otto after the boss fight, his face in the scene is so much better. that face paired with yuri's performance in that scene was so perfect, while the remaster makes him look way to bright. I used to feel indifferent to the old face, which changed as I got further into playing the game, I was immediately pissed to see the new face, then I thought of how similar to tom holland, which I appreciate as an actor for spider-man, but overall his spider-man's character kinda sucks, for more of why if you care, just reply. if you like tom holland, cool, I just grew up with the raimi films in my blood stream. now, I don't really care too much about the face change, while I miss the face, it's very apparent that they are not getting him again. also the aunt may death scene still hits me hard, I let out a few tears just by looking at the section of the video where you showed peter crying at aunt may's death bed.
Great review! Love the game. played it on release. Though, in my eyes, it's not "The best superhero game". Gravity Rush 2 did a lot of what this game did, and better. It's shorter, not as much side content, but it is very much enjoyable. Like i was a bit disappointed by the landmark collectibles. In GR2, the game only tells us hints about building and we have to figure things out on our own (or look up on the internet). It is kinda braindead going for all the collectibles in spider-man. It's just that spider-man has more "content", more stuff to do. Of course, that's what people expect from a 60 dollars product nowadays. I spent something like 60 hours completing and collecting everything in the game. Though I have more fond memories playing GR2 with only less than 30 hours in the game. If you haven't tried the game, give it a go.
You know what's awesome about spider man. It takes a lot of the best aspects of the Arkham games, and makes uses it IN IT'S OWN WAY. It's awesome to see different takes on combat, stealth, and other things that are also in Arkham. Nothing feels ripped off from the arkham series and they've done a ton of new things, specifically the web-swinging mechanics (which although a lot of that was based off of spider man 2 on the ps2, they did a lot if improvements). This video is awesome and I love watching everything on your channel.
1) the first shocker encounter happens AFTER the demons hit up the museum 2) the purple grenades I think are meant to make you think “paint them orange and they’re a dead ringer for goblin’s pumpkin bombs”. There’s a lot of details, like when MJ uses the helmet to find the hidden lab, you can see it say “Glider Tech Sync” in the upper right corner. Just nitpicking, overall I enjoyed this video and I love this game to death, as it’s my favorite game of all time, with Miles Morales in a close second

But she dumps Peter for "treating her like a baby,"
Like.

Honestly J. Jonah Jameson’s audio bits are one of my favorite things in the game. Not only are they funny, but they react accordingly to what you do as Spider-Man. Really made it feel like the side content you chose to do didn’t go unnoticed and made the world feel a bit more alive

@@00Batman I wish they had like police or news copters watching you as you were fighting crime, doing commentary or adding some dialogue to the scene.
If you loved the animations in Spider-Man, you'll adore the transversal in Miles Morales
Things you can't do:
- shoot a 2nd webline while you're swinging
- do a loop de loop
- swing low and run along to the ground while holding on to the webline. Also in the one ps4 cutscene Spidey swings so low that he slides his hand across the ground.
- do a wallrun while holding on to your web and jump off like Tom Cruise in Ghost Protocol
- seemlessly mix in rooftop parkour with uniform momentum (into the spider-verse has a great example of this in the what's up danger scene)
- holding on to your webline at the end of a swing, just to mess around
- also wallcrawling is jank, when it should be a natural extension of Spidey.
I think Miles fixed that but I can't remember.
yes, the thing that bothered me the most was while you were web swinging, you cant touch the ground, or the side of a building.
i just love how peter voice acting is when he's swinging his web and doing stuff like fighting peter is out of breathe and you can clearly tell during convos with characters but when he's sitting there, walking or doing casual stuff he seems energetic and well rested
In all honesty, the new story review style is much like this game. Pretty good, but could use some refining. The going back and forth between the middle of the story and the end is a little jarring. Like telling Otto's character arc in its entirety before finishing the story review. I like it, but it could use some work.
Do you think I should talk about a characters arc once it is completed within the story summary?
@@ThatBoyAqua yes please. If you talk about the character arcs after the story, it will be in a section. Keeping the back and forth to a minimum. Thank you for listening to my critique

Wow, you’re probably one of my favorite reviewers now. Long and extensive reviews talking about the many topics from a game, being as inclusive as possible, now that’s a review/analysis of a game (specially one like spider-man). Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you, while I don’t intend on my reviews being THIS long as it’s quite tough, I’m glad you are enjoying them! ❤️❤️
@@MartinJHenebury Yeah me too but it was kinda sad
I just wanna say this is one of the best Super Hero games ever. I don't really see why UA-camrs compare the combat to Arkham. Arkham has great combat, but it's way more restrictive. And Batman barely can't fight people head on with guns.
Meanwhile , spiderman can use air combos, easily fight people with guns and bazookas, and can move faster thanks to his web.
Well Batman is not bullet proof and doesn’t have spider-sense.
He uses stealth
I know right, they are 2 completely different heroes with 2 completely different skill sets. Spidey has spidey sense, wall climbing, super strength, flexibility and healing. Batman is a human man, that can’t heal on the spot, above average strength, his smarts and instincts, and his skills
@@baxico1313 batman can only heal after he beats people or grabs a riddle trophy. It's weird.
Both are great but spiderman is easier because of more moves and you can just web people up
I dont really know what you mean, combat in arkham flows from one enemy to the next and has batman jumping between foes just like in spiderman, even has the indicator to counter before an attack like spiderman has the dodge.

To simplify, him repressing his powers caused them to build up and explode, when he stopped repressing them, he was able to control them

the most bizarre coincidence in this universe has to be miles showing who he thought was just some random guy his spider powers, only for the random guy to be spider-man himself

For the "Just an Arkham Clone"
Just look at 2004's Spider-Man 2: The Game, when you really think about it, Marvel Spider-Man is basically a Remake of the 2004 game.
Edit: grammar
Edit: yes Spider-Man 2 had a reflex meter and yes Spider-Man PS4 has a similar meter used for instant takedowns or combat healing. However the combo charge system was unique to Arkham and that it actually increases the rate of focus gained per hit if you maintained it and increased it. The combo counter is lost after about 3 seconds and must be maintained per encounter Spider-Man 2 didn't have anything like that
UA-cam didn’t tell me that you live-streamed or that this video come out . At this point I will just check your channel every other day

Not at all. Spider-Man PS4 you can spam one button to be invulnerable.
It also doesn't discourage button mashing whatsoever there's no falling out of free flow mode or Banning access to higher damage moves.

Running down walls
Wall sliding
Upward, backwards, or sideways zip, Wall latch
Wall latch jumping
Horizontal wall zip
Web climbing
Swing boosting
Pole latching
All of these things are from web of shadows so I'm not even including the other 5 open world Spider-Man games. 7 good traversal options is just pathetic for a Spider-Man game when Web of shadows has twice as many. I hope that in the sequel they add everything from web of shadows and add new things to make a definitive swinging system.
I was hoping and praying I was not the only one who dislikes the Spider-Man PS4 system because previous games had so much more depth.
Spread the word!
@@MartinJHenebury Honestly if Web of shadows got a remastered and had the PS4 games graphics I would play it more than the PS4 game. It's just that the city looks so ugly even for a 360 game.
@@Seven_DB yeah, and i don’t know why this sky is so ugly during the day
I rly hope the sequel has some gliding with the web-wings (or what they're called), since they were teased in a collectable backpack. Imagine Just Cause 3's gliding + Spidey's webswinging, oh boy, oh boy
Someone's got a great idea. Bring back the web of Shadows in-depth traversal with fall damage and also have an option to Glide around with web glider.
@@buffkangaroodog Ye probably, even tho I don't think the gliding would be that fast tho
Boy do I have a good news for you!!!
@@ayushsinghchauhan9558 Oh man, totally forgot about this comment
@@The_Patbey tbf it was 3 yrs ago mate, I wonder how you liked the SM2 swinging
They also polished what was in previous Spiderman games, unfortunately there are people who see it as a personal attack.
I would love to see the DLC review certainly if it comes from you.
Old face : watching your mother passing out .

Loved the video! The dlcs would be dope to see your thoughts on aswell!
1) the first shocker encounter happens AFTER the demons hit up the museum
2) the purple grenades I think are meant to make you think “paint them orange and they’re a dead ringer for goblin’s pumpkin bombs”.
Hey aqua... u prolly dont remember me but I've been watching u since ur borderlands days and I just wanted to say congrats bro, your doing it and dont stop now. I'm here for the long run to see u become a renown famous youtuber🤙
Aww thanks justice!
Little tip for the Rhino/Scorpion fight. If you time it right, you can get Rhino to charge into Scorpion and Scorpion gets down in one hit.
So everybody is just going to ignore the fact that Peter left a man inside his bag for only god knows how many years
What?

You are one the most chill video-game critic/refresher. You're videos have changed my video game perspective and as well made it more accurate looking at the points of games in general. Thanks for being here Aqua.
Edit: The refresher was joke by the way get it Aqua?
Thanks man I’m glad you like the reviews. I try not to make them too serious and it’s awesome that you appreciate that! I was a little annoyed at that water pun but we can leave it as *water* under the bridge 😉
