Southampton Mayor Jesse Warren talks COVID-19 spike in Long Island

  • Long Island has seen a surge in cases of COVID-19. Of the more than 30,000 cases in New York State, more than half were reported in New York City - and more than 5,000 were diagnosed on Long Island. Now health experts are sounding the alarm, saying people who are leaving New York City could be infecting those around them, and the White House Coronavirus Task Force is advising anyone who has recently traveled to or from the city to isolate themselves for two weeks. And as many New Yorkers flee to their second homes in the Hamptons to avoid infection, Southampton Village Mayor Jesse Warren joins us to discuss what steps he’s taking to keep residents safe.
