    Great video. We are going to get it. Hopefully BJs counts toward groceries. Video appeared a little fuzzy at the end.

    Dave Ramsey says never mess with credit cards especially with bonus because Dave says in the clause in the small writing after the gift is recieved it releases higher fees. Can be as high as 30 percent. Dont mess with credit cards . Go dave

      Dave says anyone who promotes credit cards is getting paid from them, This destroys a person by causing them to gain high debt. Do you really think a credit card company could stay in business if you wasnt going to owe them money and high interest.

      Dave also says pay off your 2.75% interest mortgage when yoy inflation is 8% so… idk not really a believer in that lol. As for credit cards… 1. Pay your bills and fees/ interest doesn’t matter. Never buy something you don’t already have cash for. If you are scared of building up debt, the day the transaction posts pay it off with your cash. 0 reason to not use credit cards. Also, credit cards make money from transactional fees with the merchant. Every transaction they make 2-3% depending on the card company. The merchant pays this for the convenience of accepting credit because If they didn’t, we’ll they would lose business. Lastly, I am not sponsored by any credit card company and don’t get paid unless you specifically use my link, however, the viewer should always look for the best signup bonus for them, not my personal link.

      @@MMuniz Love Dave and Dave is right. Dave has a big team of very smart people who his team polled and analyzed the richest people and there habits and then wrote a rule book based on how those multi millionaires handled their money. None of these wealthy people tried to get rich by getting cash back from a credit card. (dont play with fire as Dave says) . Because credit card companies are waiting for you to slip up then they will hit you with that big interest. Learning to work with your money is what Dave is best at. He pays cash for his investments and has a wealth of 500 million to prove it after going broke when he was young as a borrower. Now he created his empire based on best selling financial authors and the very wealthy.

      @@krakhour2 that’s awesome that he can do that. I think if you ask anyone, they would say that Dave has been extremely successful. If you and Dave don’t believe in credit thats cool, don’t use them! For everyone else, it’s free money. Luckily nobody forces you to use credit cards so you are in luck

      @@MMuniz Been debt free for a long time and never regretted it. Biden and his buddies should try it. 13 trillion in debt and 4.1 trillion added which caused inflation. Also the worst numbers in history for the normal USA citizen with over 1.7 trillion in credit card debt ad growing. Sounds like you would be better off investing in Visa and MasterCard than trying to get a few bucks back

    I’m a fan of the BCP myself. Between the fee being waived in the first year, the sign-up bonus, the Disney, bundle credit, AMEX offers, and the gift card that I received for ordering steaks with the BCP, I won’t really be paying that annual fee for at least four years, or probably for the lifetime of the card if I value the Disney bundle credit and the offers. They can always change the credits they are offering, and most Amex offers aren’t going to be worth it for most people, but I usually find some offer I can use a few times a year On every AMEX card.
    I think the real question is whether this is good value compared to other grocery store cards. It is probably a better choice for people who want simple cash back than anything else for the first few years so long as you remember to switch to another card once you get close to $6000 in groceries for the year. You can check how much you have spent on the card in the Amex app. if transferable points are more important to you, American Express gold card or one of the Chase cards will be better choices. The BCP also has interesting synergy with Instacart. Use this for 6% back on Instacart, then do a pick up at a store that has in-store pricing. If you are an Instacart plus member, the 5% from pick up and 6% from this card will stack, giving you 11% cashback. At some stores this is great, depending on their markup. Go through a cashback portal and you can pretty regularly get this up to around 13%.
    I generally use a retailer specific card at warehouse stores. It can be annoying keeping track, but unfortunately it’s part of the game.

      This is the most in depth response to any of my credit card videos! You really know your stuff. Very interesting about the instacart stuff you mentioned as well. I definitely agree, this is good as a cash back card but when using points for travel there are better cards/ rewards programs to take advantage of depending on what fits your needs.

    Hey bro, great video. Thanks for all the information! Well done! for my self, I thought, long and hard and ultimately ended up on team travel instead of team cashback. And I like the AMEX cards for the travel options! even just utilizing the AMEX travel portal I can get consistent higher returns albeit in the form of travel! Maybe if this card wasn’t capped??? Anyway thanks for the video!

      Hey Sean thanks for taking the time to comment! I used to lean more towards travel as well to be honest, but with the baby girl, and 2 more on the way, we don’t have much travel planned so my focus has shifted recently. I was using the chase trifecta, but the Amex cards have my interest. Agreed on wishing the card didn’t have a cap, that would be awesome.

      @@MMuniz congratulations 🎉 on the growing family! That’s awesome! Cash back can definitely come in handy! I have two boys fully grown and on there own! 24 & 22. That was part of my thought process as well since I can actually do a lot more with points then straight cash back in regards to be able to include my boys so we can do some father son travel. We are actually heading to NOLA in March my oldest son’s idea. One father to another, Enjoy the time with your kids! I especially enjoyed from age 6-12 since it was actually still cool to hang out with dad LOL they grow up fast! Blessings

    I just got approved tonight for this. It fits my lifestyle completely. I'm still new to credit and thought about adding freedom flex as well. But my routine right now is very set. Work, gym, grocery shopping, streaming, and language learning. I'm not doing a ton of traveling now but may in the coming years, and i may eat out more in the future. But right now im really tight on my eating but spend easily thousands on groceries, I'm there every day. Should I grab freedom flex as well? Or i have even thought about amex gold

      @MMuniz  Рік тому

      Hey redwolf! Your lifestyle sounds very similar to mine haha, sounds great! In my opinion, if our biggest expense is this one, and you aren’t traveling much, the next one I would get would be a flat 2% everything card like the Wells Fargo active cash. No annual fee. No weird rewards programs. Just flat 2% return on everything. So your blue cash would be for groceries and gas, and everything else on the Wells Fargo for a minimum of 2% on everything. Only after that would I branch into the quarterly category cards, as they tend to get more involved and to be honest…. I barely use my freedom unless it’s groceries or home improvement. Still a great card, but that would be my preference. Good luck!

      @@MMuniz thank you for this And answering so quickly. I was approved for my amex blue tonight and was thinking about getting a third card. Question i see you said that 2% is way better than one percent and you need it. Why? I'm new to credit. I got my Amazon prime rewards card even though I was at 550 and had never established credit just a few months ago. Now I'm at 670.
      I bank with chase, and i plan to mainly get cards by them and amex. I again spend a ton at Amazon, Kroger(1000s every month on groceries) then i Uber or Lyft everywhere(no car), then subscription services(audible, Spotify, UA-cam, Netflix etc) i barely dine out or travel but I'd hope to more in the coming years. I was trying to see if getting 1 more card that made sense, to support the Amazon, and amex blue. I still think i need more grocery support and may dine out more in 2023. Would it be wise to get amex gold or chase freedom unlimited (1.5) or would you still say wells Fargo as an every day? The flex's reward perks I'd be interested in it looks like i have covered already by other cards. But the 5 percent back for a year on groceries by unlimited seems to be great support to the amex blue. is 1.5 and 2% that really a big difference?

    • @MMuniz
      @MMuniz  Рік тому

      @@redwolf481 great work on getting your score up so fast! I still recommend the Wells Fargo for 2% because you don’t need the 5% groceries from unlimited. You will be using blue cash preferred which is 6%… so unlimited would be almost useless unless you spend over the 6k. 2% is better than 1 because you’ll get double the cash back. I would say that’s incredibly important so you save the most money

    • @redwolf481
      @redwolf481 Рік тому +1

      @@MMuniz thank you. Yeah I can spend up to 10k or more a year on groceries, possibly more. But I'll look into the wells Fargo card

    • @MMuniz
      @MMuniz  Рік тому +1

      @@redwolf481 well if you are that high in groceries, then it may make sense to also do a freedom flex since that gives you the 5% usually on one quarter out of the year for groceries specifically. That’s kind of what I talk about at the end of the video. Either way, it seems like you really know your budget and goals so I think you’ll end up doing well no matter what you pick after doing a bit more research
