We just got the active cash card, and after a few transactions, I didn't see any activity on the account. I checked the next day with the same results. I called WF and they told me that the transactions were there but pending. I said that is fine, but I would like to see that in my account. After 3 more operators, they sent me to tech support who explained that if I go to the transactions pending, and click on the plus sign next to it, my pending transactions worked. I felt like a dope at that point but was happy it was resolved. I just wish the first operator would have asked me to check that. Plus, the tech support was quite rude and I felt like she was mad at me. Thanks for the video!
Hahaha exactly the same experience I’ve had! Sometimes stuff just isn’t as easy as it might seem. But easy or not their customer service could do so much better to help us in times like that.
Have both. Just got the Active Cash with a strong >$10K limit, 15 months 0% and $200 back against $500 spend in three months. Had one fraud issue. Resolved immediately and new card sent within days. New digital wallet card replaced IMMEDIATELY. The raised my last credit limit when asked. No question. Very good experience personally.
That is awesome! To be honest they have actually improved somewhat over the past 6 months. One thing they’ve changed is they now don’t have a minimum redemption which isn’t a big deal but in terms of overall customer support I think it’s great.
I was going to get the Active Cash card but the $25 min redemption was a dealbreaker. I went with Sofi for the 2% CB on everything-3% for the 1st year. Your points are posted about 4 days after your Purchase clears. The only negative with Sofi- I was approved 12/23 and I still do not have the physical card- I’ll have to call them to reissue a new one but I’ve still been able to make purchases; there was a way I could activate the card and obtain the account number
This is very interesting thank you for sharing. I’ve been eyeing the sofi checking/savings account mix. I want a better sign up offer though. I haven’t looked at their credit card though so now you’ve got me interested. Thanks again!
Awesome job on being a credit master guru! 👍 There are so many cards out there that it seems impossible to keep up so I appreciate the updates. And customer service is a really important aspect. Honestly, I think I'm going to stick with Chase.
Thanks for the in-depth response! I agree, chase is always my go to to be honest. I do like the Wells Fargo card but some of these tiny annoyances truly do bother me haha. Take care!
I believe it has to go to a WF account, but it does allow the option for them to send you a check if you dont want to do that. I personally prefer the redeem for purchases option, so it just pays off my credit card for me. In the end it’s all the same unless you plan on never touching the card again.
We're soo spoiled with chase ,cause their online app is so superior, i have wf,us bank and citi, and sometimes the charges would be pending for a week, and you cant even see your multiplier until you get the statement, where as chase shows the multiplier as pending until statement
Lol I couldn’t agree with this more. So many issues with WF but one viewer just notified me that they changed their redemptions to not have a minimum anymore. Haven’t verified myself, but if they did it’s one small step in the right direction lol. Have a great Sunday!
@@MMuniz eh doesn’t really bother much since if I’ll use the points for something I just budget or plan for an expense that’s the same amount or thereabouts
I wonder what's in your ROTH IRA portfolio. DIVO, SCHD and SPHD? I was wondering what to include on my ROTH IRA to get the most out of the tax advantages. Thanks bud!
I actually only just started my Roth this year because it’s the first year I am eligible for one (tax situation with wife and income made us ineligible until this year). I had one previously but very small amount and haven’t been able to add to it. For now I have a growth mix, and only 5% allocated to divo, JEPQ, and VT.
@@arlokkkk mix of international vanguard etfs, emerging markets, vug, etc. I try to stay way from individual stocks. Huge fan of low cost vanguard etfs tho
@@MMuniz Cool! Thanks! I already got VUG, VOO and VTSAX on my 401k employer account. On my roth I have Bug, SCHD, SPHD and JEPI. Do you think is a bad choice? I'm thinking in adding the new JEPQ too.
@@arlokkkk not at all, I like all of those. I try to put the riskiest/ highest chance of growth in the Roth, since that gives the best tax advantage in the future. In the 401k I have less volatile choices like voo and schd. No problem thanks for sharing!!
Chase and Capital one inflate the airline/hotel prices on their websites and also not all the options are shown as compared to google . U can do price match on capital one i think.
This is true sometimes but not all of the times. I have seen equivalent prices, just depends on where and when. I do agree on less being offered. But even when prices are inflated, I’ve made out better with the “25% more when redeemed”. At the end of the day it just takes time and research and if people actually think it’s worth it. For my family, we don’t mind doing it for the free travel but I know a ton of people who could care less or just aren’t savvy enough to work credit cards and travel rewards (which isn’t a dig on them, just saying they prioritize other things)
Very interesting! I just redeemed rewards yesterday actually but I did my usual redeem for purchases. I’ll check it out on my next month return. Thanks for the heads up, that might be a step in the right direction.
@@MMuniz So yes it's been verified on Reddit and i also called customer service You have to redeem online though. @@studnts4elac great! thank you for the follow up. And definitely, I still consider the WF the best stand alone card out there if you aren’t a “multiple credit card” user. Just some of those minor annoyances lol. This makes it even better now.
Lol nothing wrong with this! Just ensure that there isn’t a 6 month limit or something where they will charge the rewards back. I don’t believe there are… but you never know.

These are my 2 most commonly used cards! And they removed the minimum cash redemption which is awesome now.

Great video. Totally agree on the rewards and interface. PIA.
It’s funny because I never really noticed it until you and Colin started complaining
I have the active cash, good card, I’m just maxed out right now so I can’t use it much
Ya it’s one of my favorite cards still, just easy to use and a great 2% return.
More like an FYI but the citizens bank credit card I have has that $25 increment too.
To be honest I think quite a few companies do this. But, some don’t, and to me that’s way better for the consumer. Does it bother you at citizens?

You don't need $25 increments but some people are reporting different things
