Fr!! Grey is my favorite color too!!
(Brown and grey). "Hey why didnt we get invited?!?"
Does anyone actually like anything brown other than people? The only brown thing that I can think of that I would call beautiful is slim. But brown clothes, walls, vehicles, shoes, etc. are so ugly.
Yes, for the main colors in my country this video lacks Brown, Grey, Salad (a part of Green for English users) and this video Blue would be two separate colors, and most time showed here Blue isn't Blue (the biggest crime English does).
@@juratemazeikyte8766salad is just fancy lime but agreed on everything else. It's quite literally a part of another colour, same with blue
To be fair brown it's just dark orange, but it has become popular as a color of it's own. There's also many other colors like lime, magneta, cyan, that are usually or never mentioned in the main colors
Brown is uuuhhhh, an interesting color.

Really missed how Green can also mean Sickness, Rot, and, Poison, Biohazards, and Radiation
I think it comes from the fact our snot/boogers are green when fighting an infection, how some things turn green when rotting, and how radioactive elements like Uranium and Radium glow green
The green dye that killed people is also important to remember to why green is associated with poison/the other things
Most uranuim isn't green

Same with purple is recent history being associated with corruption and invasive in various mediums. Though this is a newer phenomenon.
Many video games or tabletop games use purple for corrupted things: Zerg, Terraria Corruption, Warhammer Slaanesh (using both purple and pinks), etc.
An example is disgust from inside out, meaning that green also means disgust, and also brown too.
Dang this is pretty underrated

Before the early 1900's pink was a man's color because it's a version of red. And blue was a female color.
I agree with this because from my knowledge, it was in some 1960s design thing which swapped the pallete, thus making the "gendered color consensus" based on style and stereotype.
@@MichaelNaugher No, in the very early 1900's very late 1800's. I was born in '62. It was already long since switched at that point.

The only reason that white became a wedding dress color is because Queen Victoria were white on her wedding day and started a trend before that women would wear whatever color their best dressed was fun fact
And much like white wedding dresses pink was not always used for girls clothes. Babies use to wear white. And for a time in history, girls would wear blue because it was a soft and Boy pink because it was a strong, masculine color. We flip things on its head.
Question: with more complex colors such as vermillion (red + orange), rose (red + magenta), or chartreuse (green + yellow) would their psychological effects be a combination of their primary's or would it have an entirely different effect.
Sometimes both.
Does this mean my favorite color is calming and RAAAAHHHHHHH
@@youhatennnnnnnnnndrink Purple is a good pick. It can be both, but in a lesser manner. Usually it is it's own thing, depending on the shade.
I think more associated with the qualities of the color they are closer to. Like I imagine rose and magenta have similar psychological effects, Charteuse is more green than yellow subconsciously. Vermillion could go either way.
So I think it's not a mixture of both, rather approximated to one of the more popular colors
ok, look at red. now look at vermillion. wow it looks the fucking same, probably has the same effect on people.
ok, look at green. now look at chartereuse green. wuhdefuck???? it's literally just lime!
you're supposed to look at the colors in isolation, just because you combine two colors doesn't mean you combine their effects.
you can test out their psychological effects by thinking about the color, and then whatever reminds you of the color.

Red: anger/furious/love/lust/annoyance/etc.
Green: disgust/envy/kindness/maturity/optimism/etc.

Interesting fact about the impact of colors on reading:
As autistic people tend to be more sensitive to sensoric stimuli, working/writing/reading on blue paper is easier and takes the stress out of the process. Many autistic people retain more information and read faster if they read the text on a blue background.
Meanwhile people with ADHD tend to prefer yellow or pinkish text backgrounds, whilst still needing a lot of contrast to be able to focus on the text. People with Dyslexia seem to highly benefit from yellow backgrounds (which is why their exams are often printed on yellow paper)
Hold up really?
As an Autistic person I gotta try this
People who read with black background AND black letters:
Well as an autistic person i don't see how a blue background would make me read better. I tend to like pink backgrounds since i'm a pink girly. Guess that really depends.
Interesting. I'm autistic. I tend to study and take notes using mspaint, in which I always fill in the background with either black (like a board) or hues of blue, and the letters themselves avoid being white, usually pale green/ dark-light blue / purple or black (depending on the filler). I've been suspected of inattentive ADHD, though that one's not diagnosed. It may also be that I have moderate myopia and I don't do well with bright colors.
as a person with autism and ADHD, uhhhhh what color do i choose 💀
I love purple and the more dark shades do give a mysterious vibe
Also my Murder Drones obsessed ahh as soon as I heard Yellow I thought of the AbsoluteSolver lmfao. And when purple came in I thought of the protag Uzi Doorman cuz her main color is purple (purple eyes and hair)

Depends on what kind of blue but yeah.
i'm not colorblind so correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think that's how being colorblind works

Ah! I love colors! Ever since high school where I learned about the Classic color teachings/ pigment primaries RYB 🔴🟡🔵 secondaries be mix if primaries aka: POG 🟣🟠🟢. Tertiary colors are Primaries mixed with Secondaries or Sec+Sec. ⚪️White reflects ALL colors⚫️Black absorbs ALL color and are true chromatic colors. The modern more electronic/ light color teachings are RGB 🔴🟢🔵 and printers have CyanYellowMagenta. My favorite is the Classic RYB. But all are true and viable for each their field of use! And yeah need a 2 parter, you forgot Grey ( 50-50% white+black ), Teal ( 50-50% green+blue ), Magenta ( 50-50% pink+purple ) , Grass/ Lime ( 70-30% green+yellow ), , Amber ( 50-50% orange+yellow ),Crimson ( 50-50% red+orange ), Violet ( 60-40% blue+red ) etc!
I may like purple, but not the normal average one. I like a deep purple (For me deep in a color sense is a bit more blue and a lot darker)

Blue and Cyan really should be separated
Why?
@@LAQueja separate colors
The primary colors of light are Blue, Green, and Red
Cyan is equal parts blue and green light
Magenta is equal parts blue and red light
Yellow is equal parts green and red light
Hence CMYK, the reverse color primary that they use for printing

so I guess my fav colors represent calm, caution yet warm and positive, wealth status and authority and mistery with spiritual and sweetness vulnerability and compassion. great
Sometimes I wonder how society would be like if we all could only see, literally, in black and white. Or even if we were all blind. If nobody could see, would racism still be a problem? Probably, because we'd still be able to hear and people speak many languages, accents and dialects.
Even so, I sometimes wish I was deaf but I very much do not not want to be blind.

Red is used for a Stop 🛑 sign not because it represents danger, but because it can be seen from a longer distance compared to other colours. Red is used for stop or danger signs (although yellow is usually used for danger signs) that's why it is associated with danger, not the other way around.

I love this channel and have subscribed to it. I hope this channel gains more attention. Simple animation, no loud music on the background, fast paced and no long introduction. By the way, my favourite colour is green. Blue is my second favourite colour and yellow is my third.
these look like the town slimes from terraria
For me (and probably a few others) Here are what these colours give me feelings of:
Red: Determination / Anger
Blue: Patience / Sadness
Yellow: Justice / Happiness / Depression
Green: Kindness / Envy / Sickness
Orange: Bravery / Jealousy
Purple: Perseverance / Royalty
Black: Depression / Death
White: Purity / Naiveness
Pink: Love / Beauty
Favorite colors and shades in order: deep red, black, yellow, blue, white. Top 5.
I guess there are exceptions to this and you're talking about the average or something (missing the english term for that rn), but when i think of the colour black, i kinda feel cozy and right at home.

My favorite color changed a lot over my life and I just watched this and realized my favorite color at a given time almost perfectly reflects my emotional state at said time wtf
Soooo for everyone mentioning gray and brown, gray is a neutral or achromatic color meaning that its a mixture of white and black which makes it sorta a special color and not a typical one like those of ROYGBIV. and brown is just a shade of orange, which orange was covered.
Purple also represents corruption. In Japanese culture, purple is seen as an evil color. In the graphics of Atari games, purple is used as shadows and silhouettes. And in video games it's used to represent corruption and poison.
Y'all are forgetting my favorite color: Clear.
In Irish culture Green is associated with the Catholic Church to where as orange is associated with protestantism and the British Monarchy, along with its not so great historical behavior.
Red❤
I find it interesting that black and white can have opposite meanings depending on where you are.
I hear in China and a lot of the far east, white is the color of the dead, and depending on where you are, like Japan, it's also a very spiritual color, but black is the color of the living.
In addition, a lot of languages have a word that can refer to either green or blue, but refers specifically to the color of nature. Korean has this word, 'puruda' 푸르다, but these days it's kinda lost that distinction and is used more to mean a teal/cyan color.
You forgot about the cold for blue as well such as when sunlight travels through snow and ice, it filters out all other colors but blue
Apparently pink used to be a masculine color but it has changed
