I got lost in the woods when I was 8 years old. (I'm almost 60 now). I was only lost for a short while, but it scared the hell out of me. Had I been lost for 29 hours like this boy, in a wilderness with freezing temperatures, it would have seemed like an eternity to me.

For a 10 year old child, 1 night alone in the wilderness is like 10 days to an adult. Anything could have have happened to him. I'm pretty sure there were dangerous animals not too far from him. I think he is so smart, and brave.
maybe 3 days. I'm factoring in strength, weight, and experience. probably about a third in all of those. theres no way that equals 10 days if your a 30 year old man.

If you have any experience in this, then you would know that one night is all it takes to die of hypothermia.
The whole "tucking yourself in to preserve heat" very well served a big part in saving him.
I suggest you educate yourself a little more, if you find that 1 night is nothing.
