Pat thank you for always being my Cherie quilta sista everyday! I live alone and have been in isolation since the first week in m March so your positive energy is the highlight of my day and keeps me motivated with my mask making and ufo work. Keep spreading the quilt love!

Since I live on the west coast, the Fireside Chat is what I do Tuesday first thing in the morning. This morning I will combine the orphan block and sorting challenges. I have orphan blocks in several different places, getting them all in one place seems a good goal. Have a lovely day.

Sorting, yes. I have been sorting, I need to make some shelf bins to help with this, omg that would be another project. You have motivated me to cut up scraps into 2-1/2" squares started that around the time you started the "Traffic Jam" project. I also set aside enough 2-1/2" squares to make a flower from each quilt, or favorite fabrics to make a flower for my grandmother's garden quilt top.

I was just gifted what I consider a ton of fabric scraps that somebody was getting rid of. There are boxes and bags I'd stuff... as a beginning quilter, I find it soooo exciting since I don't actually have a "stash" of fabric like I read about. It's too much to sort today, but I think that will be my next project - to sort it, cut them into manageable sizes like I've seen you refer to Pat and then put them into containers. Can't wait - how exciting!!

You need to design some coffee fabric! Lol! I have another day off tomorrow, so hopefully I can get more of my fabric in order. Thanks so much for all of these daily videos, They really encourage me to get it together.

I sorted my pinks last week like you're doing your greens. You definitely have one piece of green for Childhood Games and the pony would be cute on a Stay-at-Home block. I think I'll continue sorting fabrics and supplies that I got when my mother-in-law moved from her home into a room at my oldest brother-in-law"s home.

I’m currently doing the daily block. I don’t have any novelty prints but I do have a ton of Christmas prints! All sizes! So I’ve made 74 blocks and will cut cornerstones and sashing. Love the daily calendar too. Blessings on your day!

Dear Pat: It was 8:29 p.m. when I stopped sewing my star and ran out of bobbin thread. I didn't get done with the big star block, but I'm almost there! I did get the 8 blocks surrounding the main block sewed together. I'm going to get up earlier tomorrow morning and get the last two steps done. I'm nesting my seams. Directions don't tell you what ways to press the seams. I'm doing the best I can. I just sorted my rulers so I'm done there. Thanks aging for being with us all every day!

I will sort my plastic cabinet that sits next to my sewing machine. I've been meaning to do this for a while. Today's the day. I'm happy to say that I'm doing well with this month's challenges.

Since I get 90% of my fabrics from thrift stores, my stash is a mish mash of everything. I need to MEASURE and sort by type. It's mostly apparel fabrics; knits, wovens, linings, silk, weird stuff for mock ups, and tons of wool. I'm sad when I see a piece of wool at a thrift store. Somebody might buy it who doesn't appreciate its unique quality, so...I have to adopt it and take it home.

I have sorted my sewing room over the last two months so it is pretty clean but I have a box from our 4-H sewing stuff I brought home and it has needed a to be sorted. Today is the day to get to that box. Thank you for giving these easy to accomplish challenges each day it gives direction and helps with focus when so many other thoughts could take over.

I’m a bit lethargic this morning, watching too much current news, too much pain within it. Will finish my coffee, get dressed and go sort something. I know which container needs it and sorting involves having some control and making sense of it, right? Love my fabric, love your chats. Thanks! ❤️

Does it count if I emptied, cleaned, & organized my kitchen cabinets yesterday after our stock up trip to the store? We have a very small kitchen with limited storage, so it took some creative rearranging. Now they are clean, neat, and well stocked. Such a good feeling. I need to spend time sorting my sewing/craft room, but that will have to wait until I get this next batch of masks finished and shipped/delivered. I think after that I will pick one area/ tote/etc. each week to get sorted. I know there will be many squirrels hiding in my stuff. lol It'll be a treasure hunt. Hope your Starbucks gets opened back up. Our favorite local coffee places are open for pick up, and it's nice to be able to support them during this time.

Ok, I will sort my green drawer/bin today. LOL...I am busy, so it will be only one today, but maybe I can do a drawer every couple of days. My studio is basically in good shape, but I do need to go through and put everything back where it should be. Cheers Pat!

I decided to sort through my quilting books and put them in some kind of order. Thanks for the challenge. On some of these challenges you make us think and sometimes outside the box and you cause us to look at things in which we probably wouldn't have noticed or thought about. Thanks again.

My recent hunt for novelty fabric for the Stay at Home quilt resulted in a huge pile of fabric so just 2 days ago I sorted it all to try and get it put away. But never fear, there is more to sort. A bookcase broke and there are patterns all over the closet floor. I will start that sort today.

So I’m weird and every quilt I finish I go and buy one of those $1 Rubbermaid containers and put that quilts left overs in one of those. Except all my white is in its own container cuz I only use one Bella white. I also sew in my garage so I can’t really have my fabric out at all times.
