There is an “s” that comes between two compound nouns as in “VerhandlungSrunde”, “Bundestag”, “Geschäftspartnern“, „Reichstag“, „Gescäftsleute“ and so on. What is this „S“ and when do we add it?
    Frage 2
    What is Substantive?
    Frage 3
What is the difference between Futur 1 and Futur 2?
    Frage 4
What is the difference between Futur and Zukunft? I saw they were used specifically in a dictionary to refer to the same word in different mood but could you please clarify on that?

      1. The s is a so called Fugen-S. It's either a genitive S or a pronunciation helper. You will always add it if it is a clear genitive compound. If it is not, then there are no hard rules, but a general rule of thumb, if the s makes it easier to pronounce, then add it, if Germans don't add it though, don't add it.
      2. Every word that can take a the or der/das/die, the translation is noun.
      3. Futur 2 is a finished action in the future. Futur 1 is not finished, but ongoing in the future.
      4. Futur is simply the linguistic term for the two tenses mentioned above. Zukunft is future in German, it's any time after the presence.
