    I guess the reason why everyone is upset about is because they expected it to be fixed or changed which what almost every player wants but they instead recommended using the given mechanic. Its like they’re basically saying that PVP is meant to be broken.

      the thing about slash dash being acepted in x4-6 its the attack speed and "low damage" from each slash, there's no problem in slash dash if u attack fast with very low damage just like it was in x4, but here in X dive the Slash dash received more range, high damage while moving (if at least wasnt possible to move it would be less painful), so yeah its 100% broken

    This is really unfortunate in general, advertising exploits as features is the exact opposite of what should occur. This just makes people NOT want to play the PvP mode as it just encourages easy victories instead of the hard-earned victories. I do hope they fix this...

      It reminds me of an old game called GunZ where the skill ceiling was pretty high because bugs ended up becoming features. You could cancel all movement with a slash, which enabled you to dash again when in mid-air. The result was pretty much being able to fly around walls as long as you dashed into them, jumped off of them, slashed, and then continued the cycle for as long as you can.
      Then combine in swapping weapons in the middle of all of that and you had most weapons being useless (rifles and lower caliber pistols). People always used whatever did the most damage in a single shot (since you were swapping so often, automatic fire wasn't possible). Which meant almost all players were using Rockets, Revolvers, or Shotguns while flying around.
      It got even more complicated with blocking, which also could block bullets. And then again when you saw people applying all of this for melee combat, where techniques such as "The Butterfly" were discovered what allowed you to block and attack to quickly in the next frame that you were an almost impenetrable wall of blocking bullets while dealing damage to anyone you came into contact with. The only real way to deal with this technique was to fight fire with fire and do it yourself, stun them with power attacks (which was hard to do if you weren't also doing "The Butterfly" if you didn't ambush them. You'd be ripped apart with little chance of escaping.)
      Another side effect of all of this mess was that melee attacks were faster since you could cancel frames to strike immediately again.
      Instead of condemning these bugs, the community embraced them and it became ingrained as a part of the game's DNA. However it also meant that new players had lower retention, since these techniques made it quite frustrating to play against if you weren't prepared and didn't learn to do them yourself.
      It's a bit different that what's here with X Dive, I don't think this 2d game can really enable a more open environment for players to learn in and think tactically like in GunZ.
      Also as a final note, GunZ literally gave me Carpal Tunnel from all of the crazy movements you have to do.

      @@jonathanwooden Combos weren’t meant to be broken though. This is something easily handled, with combos I guess you can’t catch everything.

      @@omari6108 combos were broken, they weren't meant to exist originally. They were a happy accident that was approved by Capcom with the inclusion of the combo counter. This isn't an exploit, it's been a part of the series since X4 now. It being added to this is very much a feature and nod to the series. It's strong but there are also counters to it as well.
      As for combos being broken, everything has an extreme. Infinites in general can be looked at as broken but even then it still depends on numerous variables as to how bad that actually is.

    I was hoping they'd patch that broken mechanic so pvp could have a greater variety of strategies.
    Overall what they're telling us is that there is no point in leveling up and upgrading any other weapon besides the triangular saber or a sword that you can slash dash cancel with.
    Of course everyone is abusing this stategy and I don't blame them since it's the development teams fault for not making fixes and enabling them to abuse it. It becomes a buzz saw match everytime which makes pvp ranked not fun or worth touching.

    The ZX saber screams to be used for dash slash spam. I mean look at its skills. There is one that increases damage when using dash slash, one allows you to have a chance to slow your opponent so you can chase him faster, and one boosts its damage when its energy is less than 50%, in which melee weapons have instant reload speed.

      I can confirm this. Other similar weapons give HP or other stats while you see this weapon sitting with a ton of ATK and literally everywhere so you can rank it up and unlock more skills to destroy opponents.

    Tfw MM7 did multiplayer better in 1995 than Dive in 2020.
    I'm more upset the Buster swap can CRASH for lag. Maintain that win streak by force DC'ing your opponents. Its no 0% by Bayonetta, Bethesda tier an exploit plagues and is encouraged.

      Unfortunately, the imbecile Developers are CREAM-CHEESING that feature themselves, to earn lotsa real cash (paid EMs to rank up those SOP characters/weapons, make them ALL limited like event limited or DiVE Festival limited of sorts) for themselves, and inadvertedly, pissed plenty of old players off with the unsolvable bugs every single update now to actually quit the game permanently.
      It's heartbreaking that the level of quality the imbecile Developers have sunk right into literally is destroying the very franchise that brought them 30 years of glory beside Street Fighter Series. And these are the TWO IPs that are becoming the deadweights of Capcom in Japan right now, all because of their poor planning and execution throughout the years.

      @@MrChudnofsky Lucky of you. I know quite a number of Lv100 players that have already called it quits. And they're longtime Rockman Franchise fans of averaging 20 years. Some of them spent nearly $80-$120 a month on X DiVE's EMs among other things, all quit the game.
      I myself also plan to quit the game starting middle of October as well, already tutoring someone new to take over my account and all of its assets for free.

    i also wrote in the comments telling them to at least give us the option to turn off the effects of weapon swapping if they want to keep them..... "features", because having your screen turn into a freaking earthquake and having the enemy's body turn into a mass of particles is not a really nice sight to be seen.

    Exploitable mechanics like these need to have more risk involved in order to balance them out. It still looks very useful in single player. Something more along the lines of taking double damage while using it would balance it out pretty nicely, so players could still use it in PVP, but would be less inclined to only overuse it if it leaves them that vulnerable.
    As for the buster switching, yeah, that needs a cooldown in between switches. At the very least the animation has to be allowed to end.

    I'm not really big in PVP anything, but I get why it's important. Maybe if they have to keep it in the game, make the Pizza Cutter power drop rapidly or something.
    That being said, I really can't see a way to do the crate breaking mini game without the Pizza Cutter, so that tells me that it was at least somewhat intended, but I can't be sure. It looks cool, at least.

    Dude, thank you for doing this vid. Just hope they're listening to us players. I agree that we all want this game to succeed but we can't have the game broken if they're just gonna accept what's there. There's a lot of potential with Rockman X Dive, just hope the devs are quick to turn things around. The game is still young, lots of room for improvement on all sides. I'm happy that they made this game. They just have to do right by everyone by not pulling stunts like that "gameplay tip".

    They have fixed the buster spam apparently; you can switch the buster fast to your secondary and back again ONCE, then there's a 1second delay to go back to the secondary.
    I THINK they made an attempt to fix the pizza cutter; the energy meter drains quite a lot when you do it. I still get decimated in 2 seconds though.
    Though, you probably know this since you're still playing it..

    Welp, guess I have no use for playing PvP other than daily missions then. RIP PvP.
    Shame that they went this way. They've been on a winning streak the last 3 weeks listening to players, and all it took is to dismiss the big complaint as "feature" to make all the goodwill down the drain.
    Great job Capcom Taiwan, you just shot yourselves on the foot.

    One strategy I've found that works against Dash Saber spam is to keep wall jumping and shooting them from the wall with a buster or spray gun. Most dash saber players in PvP end up losing whenever I did this cause they didn't know what else to do, or at the very least it ends up forcing them to do something else.
    Unfortunately the problems with all the arrow/sniper buster and First Armor spiral shot players are still there, might get even worse considering the buster exploits they are telling people to use. It's a shame too cause I think this games PvP can be fun at times and offers up a lot of variety with the amount of characters/weapons available. Instead it just ends up being annoying dealing with the same things over and over again :(

    From an older capcom game: street fighter 1 had an exploit that let you do 2 hits in a row. Street fighter 2 then made it a feature and thats how combos were added in fighting games

    The fact that the developers have blatantly allowed this to happen worries me. Is this kind of mentality going to affect the rest of the game soon enough? Because if that's the way they want to go about things, then DiVE's PvP is going to have a drastically short lifespan. And if the rest of the game suffers from exploitation like this in the future, then the game's lifespan might just drain away just like someone's HP to SDC. I pray that they acknowledge this error and reflect on this... controversial decision.

    as someone who can't use a controller, this exploit is just a whole level of bulls**t, it's not fun to fight against, there's almost nothing the other player can do about it, and it's just cheap, not to mention unlike the weapon swapping exploit, it doesn't cause a game crash, so there's no downside to doing it, it's fine enough in PvE, it's a little not fun for the player unable to do it, but whatever, it's harmless there, but in PvP? it shouldn't be as powerful as it is, or just not be there period, and the fact that the devs encourage this nonsense is just disheartening, the game in itself is perfectly fine, the gacha could be better, but the patches help with getting dupes, but then there's PvP, i generally avoid ranked since i just don't like it as a whole, so i usually go into practice, i must ask, why? why use these stupid as s**t exploits to win in PRACTICE MATCH! there's no reason to do that, it's unnecessary to do these in a mode that's just made for fun, or rather practice! and it makes getting the five daily victories so much harder then it needs to be! i really do hope capcom taiwan doesn't just keep these exploits, these cheap tactics, as a "feature" and ether remove, nerf or just plain make it impossible to use in PvP.

    Theres alot to say about PVP
    But these two paired with a controller... somethimes just too much for me... sure ya can still win... but there are just some on a different level... buzzsaw spray swaping too (I get it some cant fight well without controllers ...but as a touchscreen player... just seeing these controller user movement plus these exploits... is just... I cant fight someone like this... I just wont be able to keep up)
    Theres also hackers.... got OHKO with a lvl 1 flame thrower doin like 85k damage per tick...
    A weird thing where ya lock on Mobs instead of the enemy closing in on ya real fast...
    Even shooting something offscreen while ur Enemy is dicing ya to pieces... it still just wont lock on... I dunno if its a hack or sumtin.
    The connection is good... tho there are some laggers... where u just cant see what kills ya... but I got a decent ratio of good connection matches.. I had some intense matches with alot of good players.. those with amazing movements (most of em prolly controller users)... strong weapons... even some who use these cheap tactics provide a good fight..
    But all of these... good movement + controller + cheap characters and cheap tactics...at once... that guy is gonna have a bad time...
    Controllers - is fine
    Lag, Connection - manageable
    Strong S Class Characters/Weapons - I understand
    But encouraging these cheap exploits... please dont

    They need to fix the 300-600 ms lag in co-op and PVP if they are not going to do anything about the exploits, being able to react is the only way to fight back

    I actually have an ok experience with pvp
    But I have alot of glitch in co-op
    And is anyone know how to do the "feature" that shoot all 8 of facon buster ammo in the same time?

    I would like to see them replace these exploits with an x2 style double buster shot. I think the sdc might be salvageable if it was tweaked to drain weapon gauge quick enough so that you cant spam it but can still get 3 to 4 hits before retreating. However it would probably benefit the game more to remove sdc and replace in with hidden skills/slashes that are specific to different types of melee weapons.

    Every single time I played pvp people did the buzzsaw every damn time and my god did that shit get so goddamn irritating
    Edit: hey Rockman x dive dev team: fix these exploits asap, they don’t belong in a game like this, it’s fine in a game like X6 (cause that game is just an unfair shit show so it feels good to exploit thing like the buzzsaw in that game) but in a game with pvp especially ranked pvp no just no

    At this moment i only used the Saber Cancelling/ Dash Slash spam for bosses or when people don't want to pvp, i just only use my Arrow Buster for PvP and nothing more, only using the Saber for Sting Chameleon Chip

    Something that I dislike in video games in general is how there are future installments that instead of making all your moves option better, they will simply find ways to incentivise the player to use the most useful one (example: in the ZX series, the pizza cutter deals more damage than a charging slash, HOW IS THAT EVEN A THING?!) so the fact that the developers just accept the idea of spamming the clearly best move including against other people just for an easy win....
    From what I'm seeing, it seems that the move is basically the dashing rolling slash from the MMZ series, but because the slashes cover your entire body so quickly, it's no longer knowing the correct time to use it, I do wonder what's gonna happen with the buster one, because of the possibility of the lag and crashing, can you imagine if they fix that just so the exploit would be more reliable? I don't want to.

    Frankly, I don't see the Dash Slash as a problem in itself, as it's possible to be countered with other weapon + chip combos. The only time I see it as more difficult to handle is against people using Zero/some character with Sting Chameleon Chip, as the barrier allows afore-mentioned player to dash against you without consequences. In the case of using Zero, its even more hard to deal, as he gains movement speed boost after being attacked.
    I myself was practically a ranged-weapon only user during SA, until I figured out how to execute it properly, what gives advantage in certain situations, but can still be disadvantageous in others. However, I see it must be a pain being a touch screen player and having to deal with that.
    Still, I don't think it's necessary to remove it (as by that point, we would have to remove all other equipment and abilities considered broken). Instead, it could be nerfed, reducing the distance of the dash, or reducing the damage output of meele weapons, maybe giving some attack buff to some ranged weapons, raising the overall resistance of the player...
    Anyway, I just don't see that quite as much as a problem. But exploits that may crash the game, that seems like a big issue. Just wanted to point out my opinion.

    In x6 you have the guard shield exploit with every frame the saber is touching an enemy while the shield is out just melts their health bar, so kind of a better version of the dash slash cancel lol

    What people have been doing is using sprays or spray slashes, which can go through walls.
    What we need is a better cool down when it comes to doing stuff like this. There's no cooldown when you do dash slash, spray shots, etc.

    I've heard of paying to win but I haven't heard of abusing exploits I mean "features" for a mobile game.
    In all seriousness though, if they really wanted a move for spindashing into foes, they could have just done a charged Wheel Cutter move (I know, a weapon from the Classic series that isn't in X DiVE, but bare with me here) that lunges the player forward in a large Wheel Cutter for 3 seconds which comes with not only end lag upon ending, but also a longer cool time compared to other weapons. This also comes with the risk that you can't control nor cancel the move upon execution and that another player could hold back the buzzsaw with either charge buster shots or firing the minigun. In turn this makes the move a more of a risk vs reward strategy instead of getting a turbo controller out and letting it win the game for you.
    Boom, you have one possible work around for having a fancy spinny move while not making it overpowered for PVP modes.
    I don't know what's going on at Capcom Taiwan, but it seems like they forgot that there's a line drawn that needs to be drawn when making versatile weapons/movesets for a Mega Man game. This ain't 1989 with the Metal Blades anymore, this is 2020 where if your game ain't balanced there's a good chance that people will eventually stop playing out of frustration.

      Well, like it or not, it ALREADY is happening as I type this, the non-stop variations that came out months after this video only serves to further break any matchups, except no longer with blades anymore but with freezers, blowers and out-damage your opponent while reducing damage dealt onto yourself now. That's how the top 15 players in each server play in Ranked Match now.

    So the gist of it is: works fine in the old games, specifically in X Dive's PvE, but frustratingly broken in PvP because of the competitive nature of it. The best course of action is to keep it in PvE, but remove it in PvP.
    As a side note: It probably wouldn't be as laggy if some people aren't using a VPN to play with players across the globe. It's really baffling to see your 300 ping when most people I play with are around 80 ping. There needs to be regional servers if that's the issue if it ever does release outside of SEA.

      Agreed on the VPN. That's also one of the reasons why PVP is broken. I don't have any problem with people playing the game. Just that lag ruins everything especially in Ranked matches. Still good that they kept Practice mode and included it in getting PVP rewards.
      If they want to retain that feature, they can keep it in PVE and Co-op. For PVP, they should put a cap on weapon switching (5-10 second delay) or just have PVP modes like Saber, Buster, etc. only. That way, it can somehow balance PVP. The devs should know that a lot of people love and care about the Megaman franchise. If they continue to go this route, the game will close in 3-6 months, give or take.

    I've never played PVP, because every time I wanted to, it said that I didn't connect; or it took an extremely long time to connect.
    In my opinion, not just Capcom must improve the PVP gameplay, they also:
    - Must change the VA from Japanese to English. Mega Man X8 and Maverick Hunter X VA's English, so why this one doesn't?
    - Must add new characters ASAP. Layer, Iris, Signas, Douglas; I wanted to see their faces in this game!
    - Must improve the Gachapon. It's not wrong to add it, but it shouldn't be very unfair to all players. Perhaps, this is the most important thing.

      The reason the game is laggy for us right now is because there aren't any international servers right now, as the game still wasn't oficially released overseas, and that's also probably the same reason why there's not an english dub right now.
      New characters are certain to come in the future, as some material of Classic/X and Zero characters have leaked weeks ago. They probably just aren't ready yet, or the developer don't want to give all the good stuff at the same time, so we stay without big reveals in the future.
      Sadly, the way the Gashapon works is common to most F2P mobile games. What they could do is increase your chance of getting the rarest items the more you use it. As in Mario Kart Tour, where the gasha has a limit of items inside, and if you roll enough it's certain you will get the rarest ones (despite being pretty expensive, If I recall right).
      Again, I think one of the reasons they don't do that is so the players don't get everything right away, and have to wait until there are new updates which add more items/characters to the game.

    Layer with her card 5 stars will make her tenshouha invincible (you cannot be hit by the player when doing it)
    And roll upgraded with her two cards 5 stars (all her skills makes her invulnerable)

    Disagree. Melee weapons kind of NEED to be overpowered if they have any prayer of competing with auto-lock, especially in a game that requires burning an upgrade slot for any concept of mercy time, which makes close range combat far more risky. Quite frankly I find spray weapons and stun effects (read, Vile and Palette) to be far more infuriating to fight against than buzzsawing.
    Buzzsawing isn't even a real exploit, even if it was inspired by one (DiVE is not the first game to reference it, either, as Zero dash-cancels in the Project X Zone games). In PS1 games, the exploit is avoiding the enemy's invulnerability frames, which do not even exist in DiVE. You can't use an exploit to avoid something that isn't even there.
    DiVE's PVP has a lot of issues, but this is nowhere near the top of the list. The fact that everyone camps the health power-up, the complete lack of transparency as to what does and doesn't affect PVP strength, the game ignoring non-starting characters for "Gallery" records, the fact that the game LIES TO YOU ABOUT USING YOUR BEST RANK RATHER THAN YOUR CURRENT RANK, and that the game overall provides less than zero incentive to continue playing Ranked after cracking GA, are all far bigger and more egregious problems than rapid melee attacks, which let's be real, is the whole point of melee attacks in the better half of Mega Man games that have them. We've seen slow melee attacks in X7, it didn't go well.

      @ALJustice0 Your issue there is not the attack, it's the lag. As the last reply said, First Armor X has essentially the the same rapid attack cheese from a distance as the standard intentional effect of his special skill. That is not an exploit, that's how Capcom Taiwan deliberately built the game, whether it was a good idea or not.
      And do not get me started on Vile, he actually INCREASES damage during a stun. There is no counter and no resistance to that, you can only pray it misses despite its homing or spread effect, because if any decently ranked Vile stuns you, you WILL die.
      If buzzsawing was the OP exploit that people claim, then Zero's Ryuenjin and Black Zero's Raikousen would have no use (especially with a Melee Mastery passive skill active). As a Zero main I assure you that is not true, even though they are not spammable the damage they do is sadistic. DiVE's PVP was built to be a sprint, not a marathon (also evidenced by the fact that they expect you to play it ten times a day), and yes, that means trans-country lag will kill you before you know what hit you. That's the nature of the beast, if you want to complain, then complain that they should be officially releasing/adding servers to more regions to cut the lag.

    Yeeeaaaaah. I was already pretty mad at this when I found out it was an exploit a few days ago and not just a hack, but for them to have legitimized it... Pretty much killed PvP for me. It's cheap, disgusting, and the lag doesn't help AT ALL. It's not fun.
    Oh well, I can live with my A Rank on the arena. Seems like it won't go down any time soon anyway.
    By the way, what's the song on the part before your intro? I know it from somewhere but it's completely getting outta my mind.

      Not a troll, it s the truth. I think Mighty No 9 has better gameplay, better Animations, better char design. I know MN9 is far for perfect, but with some tweaks in the graphics, it can be so much better already. Its too bad they lost faith in the project and released an unfinished product. Mn9 is a 5/10 game while very few more polishing and some tweaks could have make him a 12/10 game :'(

    It's even funnier when you can consider the character stuns, immunities, and shields.
    Black Zero has a decent one, but it's a dash technique without a wide hitbox so, avoidable. Vile's is easy to avoid at midrange (Even if they hit, they probably won't reach you in time for much)
    But...
    They're complications with the rest...
    I'm gonna post a rant I did on some characters that I find particularly annoying. I'll sound somewhat bias but to be honest, they're pretty true
    Edit: I went truly bias on the dmg but how it applies in-game makes it pretty accurate to what I'm saying, cause I see way too much dmg applied with one move that can't be out-manuevered. Funny this is on a *phone game*

    Dashing attack in Zero game wasnt implemented to avoid this from happening. Capcom did something they already had been doing in their fighting games but with "invul frames", attacks have a hidden value and limit count with a kind of progression: You can melt bosses but you need to "combo" with specific routes otherwise it wont do damage. But yeah, who would though a multiplayer game with PvP needs balancing to be viable instead a brainless button mashing?

    The exploit is kept to give them excuse to creep the power levels up quickly. So more people get to roll more as the new, more obviously powerful cards are available to be rolled.
    Just a skeptical conclusion, but I do think this is possible. Maybe a week later they'll make a weapon specifically designed to counter this rolling attack?

    honestly the amount of pizza cutters I encounter by PvP is ridiculous since I started playing and I only beat one of them (they were this close to getting me but I shot them with my buster) I even encounter a person who uses the buster trick with sprayers...ugh I really hope they take down that video and do something about the "cheap tricks" people who uses them to get an easy win 😑

    I find it funny that they demonstrate it on a PvP match where the opponent just Shield invincibilities through it while the cheesy SDC Zero loses over 85% of their health bar in a second. The PvP is already busted as all hell.

    After I never got my mortar or ZX Saber, was forced to pick Cinnamon for the V-Day thing, have pulled nothing but Axl in character rate-up capsules and have suffered broken PVP cheese endlessly- kinda dropped the game. Just ain’t worth it.

    I really hate facing people using macros making it spin like a Beyblade. Its not strategy, its a mindless cheap tactic
