For those who want extra explanations.
The zero that is a "clone" isnt truly a clone. He uses a replica body but contains the mind of the ORIGINAL Zero as wile(?) Took his mind out of his body and put omega in it.
Pretty much yeah, thankfully they didn't do any clone saga bullshit
Wait, I thought people who studied Zero original body - and maybe the same who modified his body design - took his mind out of it to develop the Mother Elf from his antibodies, and then Wile managed to get his original body to insert Omega in it, while the mind of original Zero was then transfered to a replica body so that he could fight alongside X on the Elf Wars.

edit: i’m dumb, but zero’s replica body is supposed to look exactly the same as his old one, theres just an artstyle change
I believe the story was his body was seriously damaged in a battle and he was temporarily moved into a new one until his original one was fully repaired, unfortunately it was stolen by Wiel/Vile and was modified into Omega.
As a massive Mega Man fan, this is absolutely amazing, dude! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Model Ox is based on omega, and omega is based on the original x series zero
This project is rad. Megaman X4 was the first video game I ever saw as a kid. Person was playing as Zero. I've played every megaman game since. The zero series and battle network/starforce are my favorites.

These look amazing, love the details! Just keep in mind that his spinning attack shouldn't have a final added attack that will leave him vulnerable to attack by keeping him there for a few frames, as it hinders movement. Use MMZ2 Active form for reference.
This stuff is just to amazing to see. If they made a 3D MMzero game similar to DMC gameplay I would love that. Won't happen but still it's cool to imagine:3

In reality, the MMZ Zero is the same Zero from X, but inside a new body. The old body is stolen by Weil and he added an AI he calls Omega who believes to be the original Zero.
It would be fun seeing zero do elemental combos into his other weapons and the upwards strike for the 3-hit combo that can setup aerial combos like tonfa or shield boomerang?
I know this has nothing to do with the video, but AOE just hit me... it stands for area of effect! Lmfao it took me YEARS to finally figure what the heck it stands for 😂
maybe as an upgrade to ryuenji, when zero performs it, it also creates something like reinhards fire strike from overwatch.

The Zero who is a Clone is actually the actual Zero.
According to lore: Zero discovered his body was spreading the Sigma Virus, because the Sigma Virus came from his own body. Somehow, Zero himself became unaffected to the Virus, retaining his free will, but any other robot except X would become Maverick after too much time exposed to Zero. Zero's Body had gone updates throughout the decades, and reploids became more and more similar to humans, it was by that time that Zero also discovered the situation with his body.
So, he donated his body to researches so they could find a cure for the MAverick Virus. At that point, the anatomy and logistics of Zero and X were not a problem nor a black box anymore, the only problem was that X was the only one who would NOT become Maverick, and that's due to Dr. Light safeguard of checking X's systems for a century before him going live.
Anyways, by that time, the researches created a copy body for Zero, that is exactly the same as the original, and the only thing that they have done was replaced Zero's core from one body to another, essentially putting his conscience inside the new body, while the original body was sent to research.
Ciel's Grand-mother, then, came with a project called the Mother Elf. A special kind of robot that had a hacker ability, by using Zero's original body as a way to understand the virus, this new type of living entity, would be able to roam around the world and essentially restore any Reploid's programming to it's original state while erradicating the Virus form their body. The mother elf project literally eradicated the Sigma Virus and the Zero Virus.
However, by the same time, another scientist that also helped with Zero's body swap, wanted to use Zero's body to create a robot that would erradicate the Virus by force, once his plans were put to the ground because of how more pacific and good the mother elf project was, he got mad like any mad scientist. So he robbed Zero's original body, put a reploid conscience inside it, called it Omega, and made sure to corrupt the Mother Elf, creating the Dark elf and Omega, triggering the Elf Wars.
By the end of said War, Zero went through a depression stage, where he believed that he being alive was a problem, since all the issues since Sigma happened because of him. So he decided to seal himself away without Telling X about it.
And that's why saying Zero's body is a Copy of the Original Zero while maintaining Zero's heart and soul in the copy letting the old body as an empty husk is the right way of saying it XD
Megaman x7 was an absolute disaster so i'm interested in seeing how you will pull it off ;)

Just a personal preference but i think a cell shader would work wonders for how the game looks, although i know is complicated i think you can get an already done shader online

MMZ Zero is NOT CLONE
Thats actually not true. The Zero in GBA zero is not a clone. Hes actually the real zero, Omega Zero is a clone that Weil made. The OG zero got enhancements on his body to make his body look more human like. Its and easy plot point to miss so its all good.

Actually, its both, Player Zero is the original but only in mind, his body is just a replica, while Omega uses the Original body, power and progammation

Just a little thing regarding how the Z Saber is holstered doe. Instead of having Zero placing the Saber on his back, could it be changed to him putting it on his hip?
Cause that's basically what the white thingies on his thighs are supposed to be, holsters for his weapons.
Are you going to include the Elemental Chip system so that you can actually have different elements for each of the EX skills (kind of like how depending on which MMZ game you're playing the EX moves will use a different element)?
If he's creating this game like the later Zero games then there will be elemental chips, but the EX skills will be locked into their respective element types that are shown here
It would be cool if you were able to add all the rods and shield boomerang.

What sucks now that ever since Unity basically killed its own members, I hope this gets moved into unreal. The dude can also use some blueprints for some nice NPC actions. And it’ll look nicer.

They added that on Zero 3 and onwards, in Zero 1 and 2 you can't skip cutscenes
