Thanks for making this video. This was extremely helpful and saved my over $800 by doing the replace of the antenna myself. It took only about 30-40 minutes!
Excellent DYI video. Kudos and thanks. I just disconnected the compass from my 2016 Honda Pilot. Removing the light and headliner were EXACTLY as shown in the video. The compass and connector were slightly to the left your CRV location but since you noted what the compass "box" looked like and the blue connector, I spotted it quickly. You recorded an outstanding video. BYW, my Honda dealer (who is great) estimated $931 to fix the blinking compass. With today's cell phones, who even needs a compass on the dashboard.
@@thelapander The compass is just to the left of where shown in this video. The key to locating it is the BLUE connector to the compass. If you look around carefully you will see the BLUE connector.
These instructions are also good for a 2016 Pilot. The sirius signal was dropping out intermittently, I lost all service, and I was unable to update the radio. The replacement antenna was around $35 including tax and shipping. The easy job takes around 30 minutes. The new antenna did the trick. Thanks for the help!
I used these instructions just to be able to find and get to the compass module in my 2014 Pilot. It is hidden in there towards the drivers side a bit forward. I was just able to reach it to yank the plug and stop my compass from flashing (Finally!). Thanks!
@@allanonlee1573 I had wanted to replace mine, but it didn't seem worth the effort in the end. Once I was able to get to it, it was a struggle to fit my hand up there just to get the cable out of it. So in the end I went with just pulling the cable to disable it. It seemed like I would have had to take out a lot more trim to get the headliner down enough to replace the module itself. So I went with just getting rid of the flashing compass. I normally use GPS anyway, so I didn't need it.
I am converting my 2011 Honda Pilot into a mini-camper, and I'm wanting to put some solar panels on the roof. Could I possibly run a cable through this hole in the roof to my Goal Zero Yeti inside so I don't have to drill another one?

I have the same problem...where is the compass exactly?

@@jackvitelli6644 thank you
Thanks for the great DIY video and tutorial. The repair worked great after breaking the antenna on a low overhang.
Glad it helped

Hi Zulo Romeo, where did purchase the replacement antenna from?
@@tonicoaxum1 I bought it on Amazon
Great video, and takes less than 30 minutes. Saved me $700 the dealer said it would cost to fix the No Signal issue with my Pilot XM radio.
I have a 2016. Same instructions apply except it's easier. It took me 40 mins. Thanks!
Hi Sid, where did you purchase the replacement antenna from? I also have a 2016 Pilot.
