2022....Incredible interview with an incredible talent and humorist,....RIP Carl Reiner, he left us in 2020 at age 98. This interview is "golden", and something to re-listen to for the ages.
Great job KPCS.
Oh wow, I love Carl... So good to hear him telling stories -- especially about Albert Brooks, whom I'm a big fan of. I had no idea he knew Brooks so young! That's incredible.
Love Mr. Reiner. Incredible memories.
Why have the last two shows been audio only?
You talk about Alan Arkin being a singer. Growing up in the 50s I had a kids record done by Alan and friends called THE BABYSITTERS. It has since been reissued with a second follow up album I knew nothing about. This record stays in my mind even today, many years later.
Whoever gave thumbs down to this Legend . . . WTF!
This is audio only.... when will the full video interview be released ? (does one exist ?)
They just brought audio equipment for the show...
As mentioned around the 3:44 mark this is at Reiner's home. So no video.
sooo video please!
Guest appears at 3:31
Weird - they switch to audio-only and the audio is great - the audio on set when they do the video podcasts is HORRIBLE.
I always respected Carl Reiner but when he bags on Trump I'm done listening to anything he ever does. Kevin agreeing with him made me stop listening to anything he does too, I'm. No longer a litener..
I thought it was me but the politics have no place here.
These actors and talk show host's are losing 50% of their fans by slamming the other side.
Well said
No longer a litener? A great loss for the media.
hardly a kpcs
I don't watch/listen to audio only podcasts. I never have and never will.
your kinda missing out, there are some pretty good ones to be fair.
I am sure but there is no reason to not have have video these days. The visual expression on someones face says as much as what is coming out of their mouths and to not have the video is to miss half the interview.
My favorite comic for the last 2 years is Doug Stanhope but I will not watch his podcast that lacks video.
first
I stopped listening a few seconds after the 18 minute mark when Carl says he has to type an "anti-Trump tweet' every night before bed. Comedians -- even those as great as Carl Reiner -- lose their sense of humor when they succumb to partisan politics. Bitterness and hatred are not funny.
