Home, home on the range today with some viewer requested video airhorns I rigged a Ballistic Gel block with some detonation cord. Almost five years ago to the date I tried this with a blasting cap (link below), but today I'm testing out some vertical footage with the ballistic gel and watermelon - let me know what ya think! This is definitely some of the best ballistic gel explosions on this channel, as it sends the block flying straight up through the air.
Speaking of things flying through the air, let me know in the comments below if you see something else come flying through the air...like at my camera

The weird resolutions are the result of him realizing there is more money to be made outside of UA-cam. I get that it saves him time to use reuse vertical footage here that has been made for Facebook, Instagram and even TikTok. It's sad that the quality of these videos has to suffer because of it though.

brings back fond memories from back in the day. using c-4, blasting caps, det cord, time fuse and m-60 fuse igniter is quite fun. blowing the crap out of stuff is a great stress reliver.

Cool! That was one of the most awesome and unexpected results on your channel. Not the watermelon; while awesome, the watermelon result was completely expected. Kentucky Ballistics made me well prepared.
Maybe PETN expands too fast to properly impart all of its energy into the ballistics gel. For example in WW1 mines they used Ammonal although they had more energetic explosives because Ammonal had the right speed of expansion to move earth. Also in Torpedos they used a mixture named Torpex tailored to the characteristics of water. Would be interesting to see different explosives used against ballistics gel.

You've got to shoot one of those giant glass globes with the 20mm. Demo ranch did some stuff with them, and so have the How Ridiculous guys. Those guys don't have the slo mo ability you have, or the power of a 20mm. It would be awesome.
