Kuzu no Honkai is a very realistic and good anime imo but it is kind of on the cheeky side though. It is about growing up and developing and dealing with trauma. It is not a happy go lucky anime.
What makes Sayuri different than other singers for me is that she is such a deep thinker.
It is shown in the lyrics she wrote and the way she interact with her audience in her live performances.
She is not just writing a song to make a product.
She wrote a song to convey her messages and encourage her listeners to really sit and think about the meaning of life.
And then she delivers her song with huge passion and goes through to everyone who listen to her songs.
That's why everyone who ever listens to her songs has a special attachment to her.
Sadly, a couple of months before she passed away, she lost her ability to do so after being diagnosed with functional dysphonia, which makes her story even more heartbreaking.

To quickly mention scums wish, the plot is about a girl and a guy who are in a relationship with eachother, Neither of them actually like eachother and they know this. They both are in love with other people who they cant be with. So essentially they use eachother as substitutes for the people they cant have. Its really depressing and honestly a really good show.
its a somewhat controversial romance anime which is just one massive string of depression the whole way through, it don't have many happy moments and in a sense is more realistic for that in how it portrays romance to a lot of the times be a miserable struggle.
A reaction to the full Erased ending would be very nice, cause it's by far my favorite from her. RIP Sayuri

This is still one of my favourite songs.
Scum's wish is anime that explores complex relationships and unrequited love. It shows emotional struggles, desires, and the pain of navigating intense and complicated romantic entanglements.
Also Scum's Wish was created by Mengo Yokoyari, who is also the illustrator for Oshi no Ko. After experiencing both series, it’s easy to see how her distinct artistic style and storytelling sensibilities influenced Oshi no Ko.
Definitely recommend her song Mikazuki, whether it's the regular version or The First Take version (where she gives some background to the song).

It's sad she's gone. Sayuri is only 28 which is still young. The song of hers I love is Mikazuki which is the ED of Ranpo Kitan (I think this is the first anime she sang a song for) and I recommend people listen to that song, too.
Anyways, if I remember correctly, Scum's Wish is a pretty messy love story involving people who likes someone who doesn't reciprocate. The author of this story is the artist for Oshi no Ko so you'd probably recognize the art style.

I found Sayuri first after falling in love with the ending of Erased, called "Sore wa Chiisana Hikari no you na". At the time I would listen to the song many times, but like with most anime songs I didn't quite look for other works of the artist (there are just an overwhelming amount, so I don't check every artist). I found her again through the ED of an anime called Ranpo Kitan, and the lyrics for the song, "Mikazuki", blew me away! Since then I was always on the look out for anisongs from Sayuri.
Between her amazing unique voice and the incredible lyrics, her works are easily among my favorite japanese songs ever. I will never stop singing praises to them.
I am feeling a bit empty right now, so I'd rather not say much as the words will turn empty for me as well I feel, so I will just say I'm sure I will keep listening to her songs and recommending them, because I know I will forever love these songs and her voice.
Scums wish is one of my first few animes I started watching mid 2017 and Heikousen is the 4th anisong I added into my playlist. Always felt like Sayuri captured the anime well and fell in love with her music since. The beauty she created will always be treasured ❤❤❤

This is the song that made me discover sayuri back when Kuzu no Honkai was airing. Her voice instantly captivated me, following that I looked up other songs by her, to this day my favourites are Mikazuki (the one I could related to the most), Sanketsu shoujo, Hikari to Yami and Tsuki to Hanataba. May she rest in peace, her songs will always remain in my playlist.

As for Scum's wish, it's an interesting anime. It's an anime about unrequited love and how two people that are both in love with people that don't love them cope with those feelings. I enjoyed it, but it definitely is an anime that's painful to watch, so I don't know if I'd ever recommend you reacting to it. The OP is pretty good too if you ever wanted to check that out.
I first heard of Sayuri from watching Scums’s Wish. I never skipped the ED and ever since I first listened to to Heikousen I immediately dove into the Sayuri rabbit hole 💙

Sayuri is hands down one of my favourite artists of all time. She was so incredibly talented. I could aknowledge that first hand in 2019, if I'm not mistaking the year. She attended the animce convention Animagic in Germany, which was her first concert in Europe. The room she performed in was on the smaller side. Unfortunately, only a few hundred people could wittness her there. But the impression she made on the audience was none of this world. When you listen to her songs you might think there is some kind of auto tune involed, like it is in pretty much most of the modern songs, but you could legit not hear any difference from a track on UA-cam or Spotify and from her like 15 metres away from you. Her voice left everyone speechless and got me goosebumps, because how amazing and wonderful her voice was.

After each episode when my hand reached out to press next episode, this music and her voice pulls you in and holds you there as the story settles into your brain. The words of this song is quite honestly the most beautiful description of heartbreak I've ever heard. It's hard to believe we'll never hear more of her; but I'm happy for the time she spent leaving her voice etched into the internet for us to hear.

Back in 2018 I was lucky to see Sayuri live as part of Anime Expo Anisong Festival line up. Let me tell you she's a one of a kind artist! The way she can form an emotional connection through her songwriting and music is only 2nd to Upiko. She is someone I can look up to always struggling but courageously moving forward till the very end! RIP Sayuri ❤
I was honestly in shock for a while when my brother sent me a news article stating that she had passed on. She's been one of my favourite vocalists and singers for a good few years now. I can only hope that she felt her life was fulfilling and she knew how many hearts she touched with her music.

Scums Wish is a really unique show. It's, as the title says, about scummy people. Mainly it's about people that can't be together, teacher-student type stuff, and use each other as a substitute. It's an absolute trainwreck and will probably make you disgusted at the characters at least once but that's the point. I've never watched Domestic Girlfriend but from what I know of it they're similar.
Scum Wish anime about One Sided Love, there's a student name Hanabi loving her Teacher, but the Teacher already loved someone that also a teacher.
Because of her one sided love that she make a fake relationship with a guy that name Mugi. This Mugi guy also love the Teacher that Hanabi Teacher like. So they start they fake relationship just to fulfill their Empty Heart. Even though they not love each other.
The Author actually working together with Kaguya Sama Mangaka to made Oshi no Ko. The first time i watch Oshi no Ko i relieze it immediately.
I feel so much similarity between Oshi no Ko and Scum Wish, how the emotion been delivered, How dark The Story feel the same as Scum Wish. Even character design also same.
And it seems the one who draw the manga is the Scum Wish Author, and the one who Written the Plot Story and Dialogue is Kaguya Sama Author.

Scum's Wish is in general about one-sided love that has no chance to be returned, trying to find love/way out with other people, it deals with heartbreak and trying to deal with it.

I've been following her trough almost 5 years... Losing her was more sad and devastating for me than losing my close aunt (this surprised me tbh). Its just like losing a friend that was there for me in my darkest moments. Its just really devastating. The fact that she lost her voice a month before too... Idk... I just wish she can rest now. What a great person she was. A songwriter, a singer, accoustic guitar player... I cried so much at my job the moment the news came to me... You should listen to "Sanketsu Shoujo" a music that has her stage name and is the last on her YT Channel, even though is a song that she already had an accoustic version, or even "Mikazuki" her debut music. 😢

I think that you should listen to the full version of 'Tower Of Flower', it'll contrast very well to this song, and if you want something that pulls at your heart strings, 'About A Voyage' is a very impactful song too. She never did a song in half-measures.
I have to admit, her death didn’t really hit me until now, but, man did it suddenly hit hard. I grew to love her voice in the few anime I heard her in. It’s sad to lose someone so young, when they still had so much they could’ve shown the world. Though, I’ll say that Scum’s Wish is a good final tribute to me, since it was the first song of her’s that I remember finding.

Her music was beautiful rest in peace to Sayuri went to rewatch scums wish after hearing about her death because one of the more memorable parts of the show was the ED because of how tied into the show. Scums wish witch was written by the artist of oshi no ko its a very uncomfortable story (its extremely sexual) and depressing but I find it to be a very mature story despite that I don't want to recemend it because of those aspects but but I'd say it is good.(I know I didn't explain the premise because I don't feel comfortable doing so and it's only really the premise for a episode and a half)

btw I'm a romanian, and before Romania was Dacia.....there was a tradition in Dacia when someone pass away, they wasn't sad (the dacians) they was drinking and singing at the funeral (being happy for that person who died)
Never finished Scum's Wish but from what I remember, it's a drama that crosses the non family friendly topics that you don't see much in slice of life. Emphasize on the word "Scum". I think this show is more character focus than story focus, then again, I don't remember much.
The anime for recent people like a freak anime ,but for me this anime was great,pure human confusion and heartbreaking too❤❤😢

I can't call myself a fan of her even though I only hear a handful of her songs but even so, it still hurts since when I think about how beautiful and talented her voice was, and the fact she died so young, makes me so depressed. She's not that much older than me too and that makes it even more depressing.
It really sucks about Sayuri, gone way too young. This song was an instant add to my playlist when I heard it in it's show Scum's Wish. The lyrics fit perfectly for the unrequited love themes all over Scum's Wish, and you're not even getting the full anime experience where the acoustic intro overlaps with the end of every episode like Mephisto in Oshi no Ko. Absolutely killer on those ending scenes.
Please react to "Raise de Aou" or "Let's Meet in Next Life" in english, it is my most favorite song by Sayuri and now it holds a completely different meaning both in lyrics and title.
My condolences to the artist. I remember liking this song when it came out. It perfectly encapsulates how terrible the anime. Not terrible like it was bad, no, terrible as in how devastating it is. Keeping it short, it's f**ked up love. Taboo love, unrequited love, devastating relationships. A drama about all the icky uncomfortable things that may come up from being in love. Not being chosen, watching others enjoy the happiness you feel you should have. Being cucked. The show was good. It made me feel very uncomfortable because it forces you to look at things you would rather ignore. It stains your soul by giving you knowledge and the perspective of something you're better off not knowing.
I saw that anime a few years ago and it was difficult for me to watch each episode, so heartbreaking, so unfair, but so real it was difficult for me, I had to take several days to try to watch another episode because it felt very personal, it's about adolescence and how young people fall in love. and they are not reciprocated, but like few animes, this one addresses that feeling of depression just as a teenager would have when not being seen or taken as an option for that first love.

Scum's Wish when you think about it is actually brilliantly written. With the ensemble of characters it has, all of them being trash(sorry for the lack of term), you'd think it won't work, but boy how great it all works out. It's actually a really entertaining watch. And with this always playing partly over every ending scenes of the episodes, it becomes epic altogether.

First off, my condolences out into the ether.
"Scum's Wish" was a great pure drama, though I thought how it ended didn't feel the same as the rest of the show, so I was left feeling meh. Though it's not the same by brain want's to compare it to "Nana", drama wise.
There's an epilogue manga btw ...the epilogue does give an actually good conclusion to the stories ngl

Call it nostalgia bias or what... Heikousen to me is still one of her best anime ED song and best pieces. Most probably I was vibing with it when it came out that many years ago or I thoroughly liked the anime.
I remember putting her 1st album on repeat while trying to get through hard day at school with all the markings and admin garbage.
As far as I remember, all or most of her songs in her first album pretty much revolved around her feelings of despair, rejection and hopelessness that she went through when she first began. I know on YT there's some recordings of her street performance with her guitar.
Anime wise... Kuzu no Honkai or Scum's Wish, its a story abut 5 (2 main 3 supporting) people, each of them with their own circumstances, either hurting and manipulating each other. One of the 5 characters seemed to be too innocent for all the hurting and manipulating in the show. The main characters got together as a rebound for their failed love relationship. The 2 side characters that they love, love each other. Also the 3rd supporting character was just throwing herself for the main guy.
