Old video, but I can still appreciate this guy for actually just playing some palm mutes, one of the most crucial parts of a distortion pedal demo. Good video as a whole

This pedal cranked through a marshall jcm on the 2nd turbo setting sounds incredibly good, much thicker and doesnt break up like alot of other pedals do, leaves the ds1 for dead

Or Nirvana. This is what Kurt used mostly. See live at paramount or reading festival. He used the DS-2.

I think it has that sound of an echo chamber in a plastic cup sound and I seriously wouldn't use it either. I would rather as you said use the DS-1 and turn its distortion level down to about 11 oclock and then push it with the SD-1 overdrive pedal. Or just use my MT-2 Metal Zone in the effects loop. But I just might have made up my mind fo my newer boss pedal today. I think Ill be getting the ml-2. Metal Core.

No "more distortion" on Turbo, but a mids boost.

Really - a distortion pedal review with NO single note / lead type sounds !? This pedal is capable of some really creamy / cocked wah lead tones when the guitar's tone controls are used creatively. There is ZERO comment on how the pedal would / would not punch through a mix in a band scenario when used for used for rhythm parts. Also no comment on how it responds to use of volume controls. Fairly one dimensional review which is missing the guitarist's greatest asset ~ CREATIVITY.

Good points, but that's probably why it's called "Bitesize Review". Also, he seemed to have decided from the get-go that he disliked it, so he didn't invest much time to it. Cheers.

There's tons of videos of people noodling with this pedal, this video was a nice breath of fresh air. We need some chugs now and then
