I can't skate much anymore, I break bones too easily(30 bones in 27 years) but I fingerboard to keep the brain fresh and I have a normal popsicle board and an egg board, and the egg board is so much more fun. Also I love the aesthetic , skateboards dont seem to have toooo much room for innovation so I love to see unique boards getting a good run.
Gr8 Vlog- I am still riding my WIDEBOY and love it, makes everything alot better shredding fast like Chico Brenes. Makes tricks more challenging and legs strong , once u jump back on a regular 8 inch popsicle deck feels like feather.😊
Same stuff happened to me. I did same thing 😂 went to a 10 popsicle shape by heroin. But recently skating smaller again 8.25 with 8.5 trucks and 8.5 deck with some 8.75 trucks
After back into skating, after long ten years I´ve gone from 7.75 to 8.5. There are benefits, but in the end the bigger/heavy boards made tired much sooner than light ones. I´m back into classic 8 inches boards.
It's better to go bigger and later downsize than the opposite. As the stability makes it "easier" to learn, you later have the skills to ride a "more difficult" setup. I don't plan going under an 8.5 though.
Currently riding the Heroing Long eggs. 10.25 and 10 over the trucks. Paired with Indy 169s and nano cubics. I love it. Also have a 13 inch mutator which is fun. Never going back to anything under 9.5.
Can't get enough of my 10" pop. I'm not a very technical skater so slower flipping isn't really an issue. Like you said it's so nice to have a lot of board to land on.
I got the anti hero horse pill (10") for slappies and coping dance type skating but still ride 8.25-8.38 for flip tricks. surprisingly I can get pretty tech on the big board
I'm bigger guy, so I probably need a bigger board. Just need something that isn't going to snap on me so fast 🥴 skateboarding is so expensive nowadays 😢
You ever try 8.38 from Anti hero or any of the other dxlsf boards? long wb long length but width between 8.25 and 8.5. i ask cause im als taller than 6' and over 100kg.
I used to skate nothing but Antihero for about 2 years before starting my egg board journey and those boards were amazing! I was riding the 9" Classic Eagle deck last that was 33" long and 15" wheel base. You'd probably love that board!
This looks so fun. I’ve been riding 10+ and up boards and I had been skating transition exclusively. I started to want to skate ledges and rails again but after not skating them in almost 10 years, my confidence and consistency were low. So I built a small 8.5 anti hero complete just for a fast light poppy setup to help my sessions last longer to get some rail and ledge tricks back. Looking forward to building some strength, confidence, and consistency and scaling my do-it-all setups to 9.5-10 inches
@ lol. It feels like riding a finger skateboard. It feels like a toy when compared to my bigger boards. I’ll get some sessions on it. It’s nice that it’s so lightweight that my sessions last longer. But your anti hero huffer video brought that shape to my attention. It looks perfect to me and I already got it set up ready to go and that’ll be a good mid size step up from the little 8.5 anti hero.
You get used to the weight. Just look at ‘80s skate videos, dudes cracking ollies over fire hydrants and backside flipping up steps on boards the size of coffee tables with 60mm wheels
Awful brand, who thought it was a good idea to name a skateboard brand after the worst and most destructive drug on the planet.... i wonder how many ex addicts or people that hate drugs like me that brand puts off. I'd buy one of those boards if it had a different name on it
the same company that puts out tshirts saying 'fuck drugs, lets skate' whether you agree or not, the difference between positive and destructive addictions is what you are supposed to interpret from the brand name.
@@AverageWannabe Fos is actually anti-drug and straight edge. He named it Heroin because it was the only drug he needed, Skateboarding. He realized that when going to the hospital for a skateboarding injury and looking out the window on the ambulance and hospital looking for places he'd like to skate when he healed up.
You obviously are mentally slow. FOS the owner hates drugs. That’s why he called it Heroin, to literally mess with people. It’s like an inside joke that hinders his company by choice. 😂 he wants people like you to get pissed and in ur feelings 😂 and forget the sick ass product he makes. What’s the perfect sized board for your style of skating?
10" wide, 16" wheelbase
@@VhaidraSaga 16” wheelbase!? What board are you riding?
@@LeonPaxton a Life Skateboards custom Dagger Shape.
10.25 with 15 inch WB. Symmetrical Egg
i think a twin nose 32.5” long, 8.8 wide,and a 14.25 wheelbase. but i can’t find that anywhere.

Same bro. Im 31 and no longer skate due to so many health issues, some from skating, some not And fingerboarding is such a good outlet

I went from 8.75" to 9.0" to 9.5" to 9.9" to 10.0" and will never go back!
Damn you sound like me! 😂
@@LeonPaxton my 11 year old son rides a 9" egg and also has an Eggzilla! I love seeing these groms on wide boards!

I’m going thru this now 😂
So True. 10 inch and up boards r for men that have leg strength lol. Still riding my 10.75 WideBoy and Zip.

Yeah the extra weight definitely accumulates by the end of the session but hollow trucks and smaller wheels can help that 👌🏼
It's better to go bigger and later downsize than the opposite. As the stability makes it "easier" to learn, you later have the skills to ride a "more difficult" setup.
I don't plan going under an 8.5 though.
That’s the way! You also need to try different shapes and sizes until you find the perfect setup for your style of skating too 👌🏽
it's like taking ankle weights off
All i skate is transition. Thanks to your channel i found out about the Smokebeer 10" popsicle. I love it. Wish id have bought it years ago

Damn I’m so jealous! I really need a long egg 😅
Hell yeah that mutator looks fun too!
@LeonPaxton Fos said they are releasing the long eggs shape with different graphic this spring. Hopefully you can get one.

I might have to break out one of my 10" popsicles and have a session now that I'm skating 10' eggs more often!
this dude let me try out his size 9 board at the skatepark once and my backside 180s were so much higher

Oh sick! I've been thinking of getting that board but I already have 2 10" popsicles that I barely ride already lol
10 inch boards and slip ons for me too
8.25 is the best size for me it's got games it's not too wide for techy Sk18
My 9.2 got called a boat at the park. I was like dude im thinking of going to a 10, would that be a yacht?
I’m at 8.75 now and loving it. I’m going to keep moving up. I have size 14 feet so the wider the better haha😂
Hell yeah, wider boards are a must for a size 14 lol
I am a size 14 too and I only ride 9.5 or bigger I have a 9.6 and 10
What trucks are you running on that? I find the Heroin eggs are like a quarter inch shorter than the size over the wheels.
Man I’m 41 now. I still skate a 7.75 I can’t do anything bigger just feels huge haha
getting a 9.125 to start on today, size 13 flat feet gang
