- During his pre-recorded deposition on Thursday, ACLU COO Terence Dougherty testified that Amber Heard removed Johnny Depp's name from her op-ed after a suggestion from her editors. Dougherty also spoke about how Heard had nothing to do with the op-ed headline, stating the Washington Post editorial team wrote it without approval from the ACLU or Heard.

I'm glad my daughter does not go to the U.S. for a year as she had planned, but goes to Ireland instead (for unrelated academic reasons). The U.S. is not safe for women and its fancy legal system does not deliver justice.

I cancelled my subscription to The Washington Post today because of this portion of the trial. This kind of shameful cronyism between the team from the ACLU and the WP did a great disservice to a cause that is important. Clearly Amber Heard should never have been considered a spokesman for gender-based domestic violence! They actively worked to skirt an agreement that was put in place for a reason. None of these fools ever apparently considered that the reason might be that Amber Heard was not a victim. In fact it looks entirely like it is the other way around. Men are silent victims of domestic violence too.

What is an op Ed?

I used to work in a Psych Hospital, working with patients that had Borderline Personality Disorder, this trial has shed a light on how manipulative, calculating, and selfish some can be (if they’re not in serious helpful therapy). It’s sad that she’s struggling with this, she needs help. HOWEVER, it doesn’t excuse her actions so much as make it crystal clear that she was lying the whole time. Just re-watch the testimony from the Psychologist that diagnosed her. People struggling with this disorder like to be the center of attention, so writing the op-ed ticks off the boxes of wants: she gets to have spotlight while also lashing out at Depp since, in her eyes, he abandoned her. Per the Psychologist testimony, abandonment is the WORST fear that they have, so when they perceive that it’s been done to them, the freak. They’re good at lying to themselves and others. She probably believes every word of the op-ed she wrote, or contributed to. I can only imagine what was going through her mind as the Psychologist gave her testimony.

I would keep in mind her behaviors are not all related to BPD, she also has Histrionic personality disorder and that is where the need for attention comes from. I wouldn't say people with BPD tend to be manipulative or want to be center of attention, or selfish. Also not all have a chronic fear of abandonment, as it's only 1 of the traits and you not need to have them all to be diagnosed.
My mom was BPD. My sister is BPD and Histrionic. It was so validating to hear Dr. Curry's diagnoses of Amber because that's what I was already observing in her. Even how she got a restraining order against him to push him away, then talked a friend into getting JD to meet with her in violation of that order is the typical "pushing people away, then feeling abandoned" behavior Borderlines exhibit. There's so much push-me-pull-you going on. I wonder how long she'll keep dragging him to court over the next few decades to simultaneously keep him in her life and punish him? I can't imagine her countersuit to this one is going to go well if he wins, and boy I hope he does!

3. Multiple witnesses said they never saw any bruises, swelling or marks.
4. She’s emotionally abusive, we all heard it.
As of current evidence, if Johnny loses now, it would be a great injustice. Let’s see what happens when she and her witnesses take the stand.

When he refers to the op-ed as an "ad" I believe this is a Freudian slip. He just got finished testifying that Amber wanted the op-ed released right after the release of Aquaman. The timing of the op-ed release would give more attention to her and to her subsequent endeavors. It made her relevant for that time period and put her in the spotlight, thus bringing eyes to the film. That makes it a form of advertisement. I think the psychologist's assessment that she has histrionic personality traits/disorder are spot on.
edit: This is not to say that she did not have motives of destroying Johnny. I think it was 2 birds with 1 stone. She is conniving and calculated and saw an opportunity to A) make herself a victim at a time in our society where being a victim is the highest social status one can achieve, B) destroy her ex-husbands life and career, and C) further her own career by boosting the sales of her film.

This is the proverbial 'smoking-gun.' It's a win for Johnny.
This guy knows it's about Johnny, he is giving veiled responses, but he can't fully deny it wasn't. This, in relation to the defamation, is the most damning evidence. If he loses this case at this point, it's a gross misconduct on the judicial system.
It would actually be a bad look for society since the jury is deciding the outcome.

the way she’s been sitting there with the same exact expression on her face, just hearing all these testimonies, calmly and deadpan, is truly fascinating and concerning most of all. Truly CANNOT wait for her to take the stand and finally come to terms with the narcissism and imputing dishonesty she’s quilted.

Amber iirc wanted Johnny to match that 7 million dollars pledge to the charity in 2016, for him to donate to it the same amount. He didn't even have to give them a dime. He did give them 100k though. Imagine if he did match the 7 mil however? All of it's insane considering how little of it she's actually given them.
The 100,000.00 was payment from the divorce proceedings. He was just going to pay the split 3.5 to ACLU and other 3.5 to LA Children's hospital. The only payment LACH got was Depp's payment in Amber's name and the ACLU received Depp's payment and a payment from Elon Musk (Anonymously) in the name of Amber Heard. She didn't pay anything out of pocket and when she was supposed to She claimed she had financial difficulties.
