Seriously, whoever pulls the trigger and buys this one before it's gone will truly be receiving the ULTIMATE Telecaster, in my opinion!!!
love just love the stripe in the back
8:48 …. There’s an image I’ll never get out of my head 😂😂😂😂😂
Gotta Shake it😂 2 Minutes, No less! ✌️&💙 brother
@@SweetTGuitarsfrom one car body guy to another, tidy job mate. I got flashbacks to compound fling and going home from work covered in G3 - but you did an ace job. Even a high end retailer would be proud of that!
🏴☠that is a gorgeous piece of glass art🏴☠
Looks absolutely amazing!
Thanks my brother. ✌️&💙
Man, that finish is superb. Outstanding work Todd
Thanks brother. I love this top on gloss! I'm really happy with it and I'm glad you like it too. ✌️&💙
Another super build of a super guitar. I'm loving it and looking forward to seeing you getter dun, son! ❤
It's coming brother. I made the mistake of thinking I could start 2 more builds while I finished this one😢 I'm almost there!✌️&💙
The burst color on the edges looks almost like a cherry cola color. I's said it before and I'll say it again Red and shades of red are not my favorite colors but I have to say it is looking good on this guitar Todd. Would like i if Tornelli would put out a few more videos. I keep checking but he doesn't post as often as you and other channels do. There are a few other guitar builders I followed back during the GGBO 2022 build and I have subscribed to that have not posted anything for over a year now. I hope they are still building.
Mine either brother but I really wanted something dark that would accent the top and I also needed a "fix" for the staining on the poplar! This is the result of that! I'm glad you can overloom the red😁 it's a Nissan color called Rosewood Pearl and you're right, it does look like cola! ✌️&💙
Hey Todd, Wow, that finish is awesome… seriously.
The one thing that really impresses me is how exacting you are, it’s not about getting it done, but getting it done right and that shows in every video.
Carry on brother.
Todd, that finish is mind bending, I’m so impressed and thankful you share your techniques and the added encouragement for us to dive into this type of craftsmanship. (Maybe someday it comes true)
Thank you brother. I am to the point that sharing the information is so important to me. I constantly think about how I felt when I first started and all the information I picked up from various people. I really want to be a one stop channel for helping people learn how to do this. I'm so glad you get something from the videos and I truly appreciate the support.✌️&💙
I love your builds man. Your style is unique and the is one is no exception. It's absolutely beautiful
I'm feeling really great reading this! Thank you so much!✌️&💙
Wow, wow, wow, that finish is absolutely stunning. And what a beautiful complimenting colour for the sides and back burst. Well on the way to being the ULTIMATE Telecaster!
Absolutely smoking it again Todd ✌️&💜
Hi Todd! You're a master on the finish. I must say, thou, that I loved how the back looked before the buffing. It was a beautiful satin look - at least in the video.
Peace and long life! 🖖
Great color! Excellent work
Thank you brother. I will be using more and more paint. Not solid color but more spray finish for sure! I'm glad you like it.✌️&💙
That finish looks great after buffing! You’ve made the process seem much simpler than I had previously imagined. Can’t wait to see it finished ✌️❤️
It boils down to patience I think. I have finally settled on this method for gloss. I bought the buffer with the buffing wheels on it but I feel like I get a better result with the little pad on the drill? I will still use the buffer for oil finish and other things but when it comes to gloss finish 2k or nitro. This is my method. I'm glad you like it brother and thank you as always for your support✌️&💙
Wow!!!..👍🎸👍
😊 thank you my brother.✌️&💙
The excitement is so real with this project for me. The tele style is my favorite and this is absolutely gorgeous! ✌🏾and 💜
Thank you brother. I'm really happy with this one! It's taking me a while but I'm almost there! I'm glad you like it!✌️&💙 to you as well!
More and more beautiful with each episode, T! Ultimate Tele is the right name for this build.
Thank you man. I figured since I decided to call it that, I should go all in😁 I am really happy with it!✌️&💙
Looking REAL good 👍👍
Thank you!✌️&💙
what an amazing finish Todd! I got to you about paint for me car! Seems you know a lot about paint! seriously its a beautiful build! you just keep getting better!
Absolutely stunning brother! One suggestion... it'd be great if you could either type a list of the compounds & product names to pop up on screen, or in the video description. I am absolutely a novice in the finishing process, and would love the added help a list would provide.
Rock on brother! 🤘
Your patince and attention to detail is second to none. This guitar already looks good! Personally, I am not a big fan of "shiny", much prefer a satin finish but, I think in this case it will look great no matter what the finish is. Peace and love my friend.
AZZZ
I also love satin finish on a guitar but since I'm calling this one "ultimate" I figured gloss was the way? I'm glad you like it!✌️&💙 my friend
Watchin this makes me think I want to tear down that Les Paul and hit it with another round of clear. specially after I had to fill in the pick up ring screw holes so I could re-drill for the new rings that were slightly different than the originals. Then get one of those wheels instead of hand rubbing it all again. Seems like that brings it up faster and more evenly. That top looks just as nice as I imagined it would after first seeing it. Great work once again sir!
That's looking beautiful Todd!
Absolute glass!
Thanks brother. I try😁 ✌️&💙
That’s gonna be a beautiful Tele!
Thank you! I'm happy with it finally😁✌️&💙
Wow! That finish looks like glass.
Todd, that colour is something else! It looks soooooooooooooooooooo good. 😃
I am part way through building a sort of super strat which I plan to paint a bronze colour. I plan to polish it with Meguiars ultimate polishing compound. Just wondered if you have ever tried it?
❤❤❤
TODD... YOU'RE ON FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! I feel really great about everything right now! I really appreciate the support!✌️&💙
That is looking stellar…fab work as ever….love the finish on the back of the body Todd ❤❤
And that’s gorgeous!
well, i think that the holes for the string through bridge are perfect. i mention them because i just got done drilling them on a guitar i'm building and i destroyed the thing. ok, maybe that's a little melodramatic but i messed them up on the back and now i'm making a copper plate to use in place of the string ferrules. i have a copper pickguard and it looks great so maybe i can cover my chip out with this little plate and make it work. i'm going to wait till tomorrow to drill the holes, then i have to bend the holes down. i don't think i said that right. i'll have to put it over a little hole on a piece of steel and use a punch to indent them so the ball end of the string will recess into the body.
seems i saw you using some kind of gauge for those holes? either i ineed one or i need to only get top load bridges. lol.😽
It's cool...but ultimate would be blue :D.
Amazing brother!!!
Thank you!✌️&💙
That color is perfect! Beautiful Tele Todd!
Great looking ride
Amazing gloss shine !! Thanks for the video !
1 I have no idea of the equivalency between Scotchbrite and abrasive paper grits? Similar with ‘wire wool’s y’know 000, 0000 where other people use and recommend those. I may not actually want to use them myself, but the knowledge that say 0000 = xxxx grit is useful should I just want to use paper.
Super assailed seems pretty expensive stuff. Is there anything more budget friendly that’ll do a decent job for say Osmo or other oil finishes?
Beautiful!
Absolutely amazing Todd 👍
Question for you, why 2k clear over Nitro? Is it because Nitro clear expensive & harder to shine?
Loved the tip keeping the clear thin not looking & feeling like plastic 👍
looks good! question when you were flat sanding the back you used 1000grit on hard pad, then went down to an 800 on a soft pad why a lower grit on edges? - Cheers from Canada
Ultimatele?
Looking awesome man. Hey Todd, would you use the same product and polishing pads for a Nitro finish?
I would use exactly the same thing! Nitro takes much longer to cure but same process! Thank you for the comment and the support! Peace & Love
@@SweetTGuitars cool thanks man.
So I ordered the Super Assilex, Menzerna pads and Farecla compounds. Game changer. I’m done with wet sanding and won’t need the arbor and buffing wheel I thought I needed. Thanks Todd!
@@ryanwalker3015 good to hear. I also bought a buffer and wheels😁 I now only use that on frets and fretboards! An expensive mistake but a lesson shared is lesson learned. I'm glad you are digging the new products and I'm humbled that you got this stuff on my recommendation😁 Thanks brother ✌️&💙
You have the patience of Job my friend. Finish is my downfall.
