Hi ETA Prime, I recently got that phone a few weeks ago and your video was the reason I bought it. I'm really enjoying using it. There's just one tiny problem. When I wanna play Warzone Mobile and the phone is connected to a TV, or a monitor via usb-c to HDMI adapter, I don't hear any audio while playing Warzone Mobile, no matter if in "console mode" or not. At first I thought maybe it's the adapter I use, but since Warzone Mobile is the only game that gives me this audio problem and all the other games work, I think I can rule this out. I already waited for game updates, but nothing changed. I also checked my settings and I also tried restarting and reinstalling. Unfortunately nothing worked. There's a Redmagic Studio app for PC and Audio works fine there, but the picture / video quality is worse. So if possible, I'd like to use it on my TV and maybe create some content with my capture card, a Elgato 4K X (I almost forgot I also tried this on another TV without a capture card between my phone and the TV and I had the same audio problems.)... Do you have an idea what I could try out? Or maybe someone from the community? I apologize for my English. And this phone aside from being cheaper by multiple hundreds of dollars, has better charging speed and battery capacity, in addition to running games smoother and being good at emulation. There's not much of a reason to buy a Samsung or iPhone that's new gen when compared to this cheaper option that achieves the same except in camera quality but outperforms in battery and gaming.

@@kuyakuma I'm quite happy with my Steam Deck but if you want to skip the Linux learning curve and have the money I've heard good things about Windows handhelds too. ETA Prime has some good videos on many of those devices too.
I think the use case and performance of cp`s are already at peak. Theres no use anymore upgrading cuz mobile games runs already at high framerates, good graphics, and good screen. My thoughts would change if they remove the mobile part and can run pc games, cuz the benchmarks of these cp gets are already on par with mid tier pc cpu`s chips. If windows can install android apps natively, vice versa should be possible like wine/proton on linux.
I wish Samsung would also strive for such performance and sustained performance goals. I mean why should we be okay with lesser performance on phones that cost a lot more? A top tier flagship should also hold the crown for top tier performance as well. I feel an Ultra flagship should have "Gaming phone" capabilities along side other bells and whistles.
Samsung costs more for a IP68 rated phone with better camera and 6 years of support. Those gaming phones stop receiving updates usually as soon as a new model is released. And it isn't a night and day difference.
@@notificationguys5128 It should be. What you need to understand is a gaming phone with display port capability is essentially a computer replacement. Imagine carrying around a phone that has everything you do online, work and play. Being able to just connect it to a display, keyboard and mouse or something like a NexDock and getting stuff done and carrying around a controller for gaming. The camera on this model might not beat the flagships that focus on cameras but they're definitely more than capable of filling your phone camera needs.

I purchased the redmagic 8 to replace my oneplus 7t pro, hardware wise the redmagic was fantastic, battery life for days BUT software was terrible compared to oneplus, one was texting, if I'm texting someone and they sent me a picture it'll start a whole new chat session, if I tried to send pictures even with full bars or on wifi it wouldn't send don't get me started on not receiving phone calls, yes I did check the bands for my network it supports all but one band, I just changed the battery in my old 7t pro and reactivated it. I hope they fixed these issues by now, I might try again, I really hate hole punch and notches.
Been loving my 8S pro a TON, but apart from the bigger battery and brighter screen, I don't see a huge difference. I wonder what the biggest difference is between the gen 2 and 3 snapdragon 8 is in terms of performance .-.
Just had to return mine for a refund, software was very buggy. Be aware that i had to send to Czech Republic via DHL, which they kindly took £25 out of my refund to pay the postage. I wanted to ask the same question after seeing the newer video of the S24 Ultra, guessing it may just come down to use case features: Dex or console mode respectively. I’m even more curious as to why the full screen of the device isn’t utilized like on my Ayn Odin Lite while in these higher resolutions. I’m not sure I’d want to spend $650 to see a 16:9 resolution shrunk to a 4:3ish ratio.
To be fair, it's not all about charging more for more storage. MicroSD isn't fast enough these days for a great gaming experience on phones. Lots of people buy the cheapest cards and expect miracles, blaming the phone when it's the card's fault. But modern storage chips are super fast in comparison. It's better to have the games on the internal storage of most flagship phones. The way I see it, 256GB or more is plenty for me. If I need more, I can slap an SSD onto my phone to offload anything unessential.
Looks great, performance wise it definitely max out! but I'm more excited for future chipset, cause they will switching their architecture from arm-cortex to phoenix! Probably big gains cause of 3nm die! that's my next phone upgrade XD
Love phones without hole punch. That's why I still rock twin Galaxy Note 9's. One for work and one for play. For the same price as a new phone, I can get two refurbished like new 6GB Ram 512GB Rom phones, with no hole punch, SD card slot, Super AMOLED 2960x1440 px resolution, S-Pen, a SD 845 chip that can still do games medium, do all multimedia, and Dex for running my Xreal glasses. The two batteries together give you 8000 mah. I wish they'd just make another Note 9 phone with triggers and a new chip.
10 years ago i had a windows tablet the size of a phone and i played modded new vegas and skyrim on it at 720p medium settings, why dont they make something like THIS into a windows device? You know, I would love this phone. I would get it. I keep seeing it, and they sound awesome... But they joined everyone with taking out the SD cards, and now they wont give us 1tb. If I cant have my expandable storage, then they need to step up the storage game. At this rate we will have some companies offering 2tb and others like this will still be staying at the lower ends. Its a gaming phone. Games take up space. Give me more.

Do I need it? Probably not. But at the same time, 1tb has been offered for at least a few years now from other companies. A gaming phone needs to step it up. Or bring back the SD card slot, cause there really wasn't a reason for companies to ditch that outside of saving themselves money.

I have a galaxy s24 ultra and even I'm considering this phone for its cooling capabilities.
Like another commentor already mentioned, these phones are thermo throttling pretty fast due to the chips being so powerful.
I love the S24 Ultra, but emulation is taking a hit due to its lack of cooling. For the price I paid, it kinda sucks I'm already looking at another phone.
This phone has the best battery life in the world. It can last for 3 days under normal use. I don’t play games on a phone but I might get this phone just because of battery life.
This is exactly me! Single most important aspect of a phone for me as a heavy business user of my phone.

read the reviews and complaints about Redmagic products and customer care. There is nothing magic about that. Don't like or want Apple products but in this case these will do
Minecraft Bedrock now allows shaders in their beta version. Would love to see how capable RedMagic can run those shaders.

Does the phone charge while using usb type C to HDMI? Or can you still activate bypass/sep charging while using HDMI?

Then the same arguments apply against those phones advantages. Why would we care about having nicer cameras when they're already nice in general? Want professional photography then get an actual dedicated camera.

Your level of acceptance is all that matters. Other than that I get a kick out of emulating PS1, GBA and a couple of switch games on my commute to work. Add an external controller like the Gamesir X2, I play games that eliminate the issue with trying to play a game using the onscreen controls block your view of some of the screen. My thoughts would change if they remove the mobile part and can run pc games, cuz the benchmarks of these cp gets are already on par with mid tier pc cpu`s chips. If windows can install android apps natively, vice versa should be possible like wine/proton on linux.
When testing Genshin Impact, try going to Sumeru City as that place is CPU heavy compared to other locations.
What about the redmagic 9 pro plus?
I wish Samsung would also strive for such performance and sustained performance goals. I mean why should we be okay with lesser performance on phones that cost a lot more? A top tier flagship should also hold the crown for top tier performance as well. I feel an Ultra flagship should have "Gaming phone" capabilities along side other bells and whistles.
Every flagship smartphone focuses on camera performance
gaming focused phone is not for everyone
Samsung costs more for a IP68 rated phone with better camera and 6 years of support. Those gaming phones stop receiving updates usually as soon as a new model is released. And it isn't a night and day difference.
@@notificationguys5128 It should be. What you need to understand is a gaming phone with display port capability is essentially a computer replacement.
