Jayden Daniels sounds like a good choice for us. I watched a few LSU games and Daniels looked pretty good. In a strange kind of way Jayden Daniels reminds me of Lamar Jackson mixed with Cam Newton as far a certain style of quarterback. A running quarterback. As Lamar is a outside runner and Daniels is more inside/straight runner and Cam is a all over the place runner. And I believe Daniels can morph into both Cam and Lamar while becoming his own man at that position. Overall I’m nervous of who we pick in the first round. But I guess will have to wait and see. Who we pick up next in the following rounds as absolutely yes, it will be fun ride! The Offense lineman position to protect our new qb is a high priority next. With Frankie luvu leading the charge at the linebacker position a nice additional player at that position wouldn’t hurt too. I trust Dan Quinn to where he and the scouts can discover these new talents for our team.

I think Adam and everybody in the building agrees that JD is a playmaker. The question is whether that equals +10 years. Running QBs with speed and/or agility are not equally officiated (outside of Patrick). An organization has to recognize that risk. JD giving himself up as he runs out of bounds is different than even Josh Allen (who runs the ball). Are the Commanders willing to risk injury in a league that does not protect the JDs of the world?
Kliff Kingsbury is the first fucker fired if the offense fails. He has no say in the QB because the QB will be there years after Kingsbury either way. If they're great, Kingbury will get a HC job. If they stink, Kingsbury will be fired. The QB will still be there either way.

Maye likes to toss the ball when he’s getting sacked. He’s not very accurate and moves in the pocket like he’s stuck in mud.

Here is a scenario...Bears pick Daniels at 1. Now what? I'm not sold that Wms is the answer. He's short, he has some maturity issues. Do we trade back with Minn and fix everything else, and trade for Hendon Hooker for this year, and bundle no 1s next year for our franchise QB? Is there a franchise QB or 2 next year? Do we take a QB at 11 this year (Penix)? Unless we fix the Ts, it will be a long season no matter who is QB. Rookie QBs under pressure don't do well. With Minn picks, we fix this team everywhere else. Ts, TE, WR, CB, DE. We get more depth. If we trade back to 11, do the fans revolt? AP and DQ are here for at least 3 years, it takes time to fix an expansion team, which was our roster last year.
So far my thinking is drake maye has a low floor and high ceiling. If hes not properly developed he could end up like Carson wentz, if he is he could be josh allen. Maye would benefit from sitting in NE behind brissett who showed he could start some games.
Jayden Daniels on the other hand has a higher floor because he is more developed but a lower ceiling because of of physical traits. I don't see him as a Lamar comp because Lamar is more shifty. I see Daniels as more straight line speed like Kapernick, RG3 and Watson. I think Washington wants someone to start right away and will pick Daniels because Mariota already showed us that hes not a viable starter in Atlanta.

Daniels has everything you're not looking for in an NFL franchise QB. Noodle arm, slight build, 5 year college career, upright runner who doesn't slide or properly protect himself like RG3.

He has horrible mechanics. I'm not making this up. It's the the truth. A lot of qbs make big time throws. But you dont draft a dude number 2 overall based on what he does 2% of the time. Chris Simms and Kurt Warner pretty much outline everything that I'm saying.

A.S. has precisely zero idea who they're taking. If that leaked it would completely compromise the teams entire list of draft strategies. Negate all their options and leverage. This is nothing new for them. Jayden is a great kid. His dynamic ability is undeniable. I'm a fan. He's also the epitome of a college style quarterback. I truly believe he'll be lucky to make it through his first season as he struggles to stay at 200 lbs and will absolutely have to use his legs to move the ball consistently. His All-22 was scary. Ignored the middle of field. Zippy underneath game. No driving the ball splitting zones. No tight windows. Took off running after his first read was covered with several open targets. All his "big passes" were outside the hash marks, one on one post routes, one on one corner routes and one on one go balls to two guys that could just outrun their counterparts. He's a great kid but the epitome of a college style quarterback. I literally don't see any long term NFL qualities. He'll be exciting off rip until they force him to stay in the pocket and expose his weak arm. Or get hurt. Or both.

Also JJ hits his recievers in stride and throws them to the open window....Daniels recievers constantly have to adjust and contort their bodies to make the catch. Im starting to get really nervous that we end up with Daniels because to me that will be the end of the honeymoon period with Adam Peters and Co until they prove me wrong.
