The sad thing about Cutthroat Island is that the movie itself isn't actually that bad. It's no Muppet Treasure Island, but when you see a movie listed so often as one of the biggest box office bombs of all time, you expect something worse than "above average pirate film".
Wasn't the general an younger brother of Williams' late father in Toys? The game is so complimentary to the movie, they go together perfectly, like taking a leak on a freshly made pile.
I played all the way through Terminator 2. It took months before I beat the game. The Genesis version was rough, but it was nowhere near as bad as the SNES version.
@@Captain_Neckbeard ngl, I had to look up what you were referring to; I never once thought about how to pronounce it until seeing the Cinemassacre memes. Thanks for the laugh 🤣
Agree about Back to the Future 3. Part 2 on Master System is waaaay worse though. 3/10 I kinda like Batman Forever, especially in co-op. Something that takes some getting used to. 7/10 Cutthroat Island was so disappointing. It looks so cool and the concept is good. But it is so unforgiving. You really need to memorise everything. 4/10 Home Alone 2... Hmm very very generic. A bit ugly too, sure. But not horrible. 5/10 I kind of like Indy and the Last Crusade. It might be nostalgia, because I played it a lot as a kid (my neighbour had it). It is punishing, but I like the challenge. The presentation is good too. 6/10 I don't hate Last Action Hero either. The movie, not so much, but the game is fun to me. I like the beat m up gameplay, but it gets too hard later on. 6/10 Terminator 2 is such a fantastic film. The game is soooo disappointing because of it. Bad driving and so awkward. You don't feel strong at all! 4/10 Never played Frankenstein, Toys or No Escape.
There is no such thing as Rental Bait. They didn't want you to rent the games. That is why they ramped up the difficulty so you wouldn't beat them in a rental and would be forced to buy them games.
You get what I was going for though, whether they were trying to get you to rent more than once or just buy the game outright, it was an attempt to fleece money out of people either way.
My brother and I killed hours on the Batman Forever, that game fights you the entire play thru, it's harder to grapple with the controls than it is with the enemies
God that Home Alone genesis game looks so bad! I've always played the SNES version so assumed the Genesis one was roughly the same. I know I wouldn't be able to handle that baggage level!
Acclaim made Batman Forever controls like Mortal Kombat fatalities. To do the most simple command, it was as difficult as pulling off a fatality without a time constraint. I forget if it was SNES or Genesis version of Batman Forever, but the manual had printing errors and a lot of moves shown were incorrect.
Spider-Man and X-Men in Arcade's Revenge is much worse than Cutthroat Island or Indiana Jones
Totally agree with you there, but no movie for that one, so didn't make this list

@@SwannyTheMike Oh absolutely, it's reputation unfairly buried that film (pun intended, haha)
The game is good as well.

Will there be a bad TV show/cartoon licensed game video? James Bond Jr for SNES comes to mind..
Could be something I tackle in the future; there's many, many topics to cover but such limited time. We'll see!
These games Nintendon't have the Nintendo Seal of Quality. 😂
@@thaMANSTA More of these are also on the Super Nintendo than I'd like to admit 🤣
Haven't played the Genesis movie tie ins. But i played some NES ones like Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Back to the Future and those were rough.

You poor soul, haha. Curious as to how the SNES version was worse? I was under the impression they were pretty much the same game ported.
How do you say " last action hero?"

@@CasperEgas Those are some generous scores for these games, haha. I respect it tough; enjoyment is subjective

Most of these are good games, especially Batman Forever.
Your definition of "good" is very different than mine, haha! But hey, don't let my opinion effect your enjoyment!
@@jankedjesus Absolutely! Everyone's idea of good will be different and that's fine. 😊
I am fortunate enough not to own any of these 'bad' games.
Luckily with the magic of an Everdrive, I can cover these without having to own them either

I think the term is "get gud". 😉
Show more of the games and less of your face, we didnt clicked on "10 GAMES" video to look at your face dude
Which games did you feel did not have enough gameplay shown?
