I am so happy for your success in this sale. I wish you much more success! I am so grateful for you because you share your knowledge..... and that is brave! You are a true Nomad and to me you are a Viking because you are Free....good job!
Hi King George, I look forward to every video you bless us with. I've learned so much from you. And had a lot of laughter along the way. You show kindness in everything you do. I would love to be able to sit with you and just talk antiques for hours. Congratulations!! Doing well always brings a big beautiful smile to your face. Which makes me smile too.😀😊😁 Wishing you good luck with the rest of the sale.
I always have my (late)Dad on my mind when you look at the real antiques. He Loved them. He'd come home with some gigantic item, and my (late) Mom....rolling her eyes saying: "Armand, now where are you going to put that?!" GREAT memories. Thanks George. x
Deborah, your story reminded me of an auction my parents went to many years ago. A stuffed pheasant was up for auction and the bidding was fierce. Finally SOLD. My mom turned to my dad and said she wondered what damn fool bought that. It was my dad. I don’t remember what happened to it, but it never made it into the house!
You are so right about 50's kids and accordions. My poor cousin who was actually a 40's kid, was forced to play the accordion for us when we came to visit. He hated it. His dad was very stern, a Russian boxer who boxed in the Olympics. So you didn't say no to him. He always scared me. But the accordion was fun.....Lady of Spain! They lived in a victorian house in what is called the Bayview district of San Francisco. Glass doorknobs, button light switches, tall tall ceilings, narrow staircase, a place in the wall for the telephone. Wonderful memories! At 26:36 I spied my metal curlers that I used when I was little. And I still have them!
I love the safe! What an interesting functional conversation piece for your apartment. I wish you would be a bit more safe. You were banging away on the plaster and standing very close to it. The last thing you want is a piece of that flying into your eye. Take good care of yourself Ryan. I really enjoy your videos
Good evening, George! You had a really nice Victorian shelf hanging that I really liked. There were a couple Victorian doorknob escutcheon plates that I liked a lot, too. I saw so many things you had that I liked, it would've taken me quite a while to shop your storehouse...and likely a U-Haul, too 😂 That hardware store cabinet, at the antique show, would make a fantastic side table. Loved the tulip-handled cast iron. I would've really liked to have been at your sale! Sounds like you did really good with it. Thanks for taking us along on the tours!
27:12 I did not think they were toilet paper rolls: I always thought that they were STRING HOLDERS on packages that were awkward to put in a bag. They would string up the large box and then put the handle on it to carry home. Remember back in the day NO PLASTIC bags - only paper. And they ripped easily.
Will have to watch the rest on replay, lost Wi-Fi in the middle, am bummed I missed out. The chat was such fun! All the best to you and all your viewers.
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the contribution, we spend a lot of time and treasure to bring this to you and it's wonderful to have your support
Great video! Congrats on having a successful sale! I had hoped to get there this year but just wasn't in the stars. Will shoot for the fall! Happy trails!
I love your videos and I learn so much about things I still have that belonged to family. I may never get to sell it all but at least knowing what is worth money for now makes it easier to weed through everything. I did try to find the video about pennants. Couldn't find it in the Florida 2022 playlist, at least nothing in the thumbnail or description? Could you provide a link please? I have about 15-20 old pennants from colleges and as souvenirs from travel. Thanks!
George, how would we know when you have a sale...or are working a booth at a show? My husband said in passing one day "I bet you'd love to buy something from him." And now I have a bucket item to complete... because, yes, I would love to buy something from you!
George Really love this adventure, I have 3 bulls set of tulips, How much are they worth they were my mothirst and I'm 71. She got them as a gift when she bought a new range in 195o
Not toilet paper rolls! When one shopped in department stores back in the day, they boxed up larger purchases into cardboard boxes, tied with string and put one of those onto the string so it could be carried home easily.
Hey George! At 5:22, there is a frameless wall mirror on the left side of the screen, appearing to be in a corner. Is it still available? If yes, please tell me about it. Thanks!
So much cool stuff! George this may be out of your area of expertise but im asking anyways. Back in the 80s some kid in my class went into the dumpster at the Atari company and found a bunch of Atari stickers that were misprints...handed them out and I had a bunch. They were the stickers that were supposed to go on the game cassettes. I tossed them out years ago. Do you think they would have been worth anything? Did I completely screw up throwing them out? I have no idea haha😂😂😂
Folks, George-Fans he his on the way to 65k. Keep Sharing his videos with friends 🎉 🎉
