I like cars more than my parents.
My Title in Wangan is literally
CAR>FAMILY
Vin Diesel would be disappointed in me
Turn your parents into cars
Stay away from vin Diesel please. Just a suggestion.
DEFINITELY can relate
Same man
A key stage of Car Enthusiasm is noticing that hypercars and supercars are not always the best cars.
I'd much rather have my 100hp Ford Fiesta that is literally lime green than a crap ton of supercars
Or, thinking you know a lot about cars,
Then there comes a day when you realize you really don’t know alot.. it just seems like it because you know more then most (car)people do.
After having this happen to you a couple of times you can safely say, I know a lot about cars
Couldn’t agree with this more seeing a unicorn of a car from the early 00’s or the 90’s is way more awesome!
give me a suzuki X90 with mud tires and a slight lift kit instead of some bugatti McLaren super turbo Porsche Ferrari.
@@sabersz the most logical option. Outside of the US it kinda sucks to like cars since it's so expensive to own them. So I personally would rather have a pretty cool, cheap car that is money efficient, maybe a golf GTi. I'll have that and then for everything else I have games.
Me (a filipino): listening to the video
Bladed: Philippines...
Me: DID SOMEONE SAY PHILIPPINES!
Cars here are really expensive even used ones

I've been turning a wrench for 22 years now, in which time was dedicated to McLaren and working on other exotics. The problem with being a pro is that the line between enthusiasm and career can start to blur. You start to resent the career aspect of it, the enthusiast part of you wants to be in the garage working on your race car, the enthusiast part of you wants to be the next Smokey Nagata, or you want to be on a race track or on a mountain road. This can also have a reverse effect in which your enthusiasm for cars starts to fade, this is what I was talking about earlier when I said the lines start to blur. You no longer look at your project car as something you enjoy working on but rather something that needs to get done, it's another project that isn't finished. Really being a professional is a double edged sword, and as long as you can distinguish your career between your hobby you'll be fine, but I feel like that takes a very great amount of dedication. Just some food for thought for the aspiring professional enthusiast.

What’s the best way to distinguish between the professional side and the hobby side of cars? I’ve been thinking about getting into cars as a career…
Coming from someone who works in a body shop you hit the nail in the head with this one 👍🏽 I agree 100%
This Is good to read, Im going to start studying auto mechanics in about 6 months and was thinking about if I would get burnt out in a career. Seems like I just need to keep my head up and push forward. I'm super excited to see where life brings me. Thank you
"Yo this could be car parts instead"
This sentence is the thought that is incentivising me to save for a 2nd car/project car
Looks like I've reached pro car enthusiast. Pro detailer, painter, does his own builds and engines. But can only ocassionally show up to meets. Because I'm always working on a build lol.
Dang bro, top 1% gang.
pretty accurate tbh. Of every 100 comments I read, only about 1 guy claims to be pro. As it should be!
Except for some MF who was like, "nO gAtEkEEpiNG BaD, wE'Re aLL pRoS iF wE wAnT to BE" which totally discredits the hard work actual pros do.
@@BladedAngel well your also welcome to check the channel out. Doing an engine build on a 3000gt atm. its a high rpm NA build. pretty sure its like 1 of 2 ever attempted.. about $15k has been put into just the engine lol. Should be getting the block back from the machine shop this week. Then the crank is getting balanced and valve seats cut for the over sized valves. Then its reassembly time.
@RyoSuke_6666 I'm not even amateur lol I'm a beginner

@goofyahhkid8037 That's fine. This shit this legend's describing, I'm still trying to fully understand.
He has surpassed the level where it is a hobby.
Now he lives for it.
No matter what, a lot of people reach such a height point. In any hobby they strieve for.
I'd say I'm at the same level as you, an amateur. I don't know your age, but I'm quite young. (Just got my license recently. 😊)
We all have ambitous we wish to meet.
Just let time do it's thing, and keep the thought in mind.
Only then, we can all reach P.R.O some day.
(P.rofessional, R.esearcher & O.ppurtunist.)
I like the fact that you point out that being a car guy is almost boundless, I’m 13 and even though my parents aren’t car people, I still do think that you don’t need a license for this, I sure as hell don’t have one and I’m able to change oil, replace a brake pad, replace a wheel, and do other things like brake fluid. Keep up the good work btw.
I’ve been into cars since I was a kid, I’m 19 and still don’t own a car, but I’ve still managed to learn everything I could about cars;engine applications, suspension and drivetrain , I’m currently enrolled in HPA , been learning how to to tune cars with Motec and Haltech , etc.
I’m now a mechanic in the army , not owning a car doesn’t stop you from being a car enthusiast, I’m planning on getting my first car early next year , keep going at it bro 🙏🏽 one day we’ll be the dudes reving out Supra’s and skylines! Keep grinding! 🤟🏽
@@kemzdon8245 Same exact situation for me and I'm 21 rn. Was planning on working lots to save up for my dream PS13 but COVID really delayed all my plans. Either way I'm slowly saving up so one day I can own a car I want; gl to you guys, I hope you will buy your dream car one day!
I'm 14 and I meat all requirements for professional because I race professional almost every weekend and make money from it
I might consider myself a pro or veteran. Two years ago, i finished my first own project car, a Trabant 601 (you can think whatever you want, I love it). Before that, and now again, my friends always wanted me to do repairs on their cars and motorcycles. One time I fully restored and modified a Motorcycle for one of my best friends.
I'm into cars since I can think, and learned how to work on cars and engines since I was 9 years old.
Love your videos, greetings from Germany ✌
bro the 601 is SUPER underrated
yoo the GTA6 Preview Build looks sick!
Smh that’s obviously Forza Horizon 6
That's gran turismo 8. Y'all dead wrong

I'm a master mechanic for my career and been building and selling cars for year. Not really into car shows anymore, too much drama and keeping up with the Jones. I love just working on my car and finding a new project car and sell that when I'm done. I don't care what level I am, I just turn wrenches and have fun and live my life! Great video bro!
I quite literally got taught in my area and regularly talk to the local Honda veterans, they've taught me how to do engine swaps, paint, and I've self taught how to my own upholstery, and basically every single piece of modification is done by myself. I wouldn't know what to consider myself because I attend every show, larger meet, and still have to attend track days (my area does not have any track nearby) so its a tough bracket to put myself in. I guess time will tell, I've even won show awards😅
I'll probably be an Intermediate in one or two years. Considering something American just for the fun of it. I won't see myself taking it to the race track or The Ring just for the sake of getting my own special laptime, but it's gonna be good enough for a few mods and showing it to other people on events. I've been visiting a few car meets so far and it just really helps to blend in with the crowd.
Also cars are just such a flexible hobby, you'll meet all kinds of (actually social) people on events. I always loved that about it.
Corvolet5 Never let some random ass tier list determine your passion for cars, you dont need to do any of the things in the video to become a "veteran" car guy, that just seems like some pseudo gate-keeping bs. If you enjoy cars then approach that passion in any way that you can, there are no tiers in "car-guy'ing". Just do what you want, having passion for it already makes you level with everyone else who does, no one asks you to demonstrate anything, and if anyone does, they arent car-guys, they are just gate keeping self-absorbed assholes (not saying that BA is btw).
@@lucio2187 I get your point, nd that's exactly what I do rn.

If you play Gran Turismo or Forza you're already learning about different manufacturers and specs
True. I don’t think car games should get the hate they get. (specifically forza). I learned a lot of basic car knowledge from those games. Like go in the tunes and upgrade section and just research all those things. I learn about diffs and sorts of stuff through forza.
Just acknowledge that this is just a game and it’s not realistic for everybody to be driving Bugatti chirons and wrecking them lol
@@welpthatescalatedquickly6495 what about assetto corsa, iRacing and project cars? lol never played forza :0
like dude it taught me a lot about cars and tuning than anything. But tbh we sim racers know how it works not how its done. Learning how to do it is a different story.
tho even if i know how to weld the diffs and crank out camber like crazy and trying new gear ratios and timings id rather have a professional do it for me. Because time.
Im playin fh5 rn
Forza....not...really....
But yeah
@@ruzzo9350 yes Forza.
I wouldn't have known about Vuhl, Apollo Automobil, Exocet, Hoonigan, Italdesign, DeBerti, Sierra, Polaris, and probably more without Forza specifically.
Big time Forza player here 😆
I was a fledgling from a very young age (so young that I don't even remember the blossoming stage), and at 16 I'd say I'm probably at the amateur phase, purely because I don't own a car.
bladed your not a gatekeeper all you video's are just one step closer to getting into a car enthusiast i will someday get a job as a mechanic rn just in school doin some bs tryin to get to a new one and all your vids are my veichle education thanks for all you've done
I used to consider myself a intermediate enthusiast but after this video ig I’m an amateur, I’m ok with that, I do go karting in the summer every week and I have at least like a 400-600$ sim racing set up (almost definitely less but I never calculated it) it’s pretty awesome and I only have a PS3 but I do want to save up for a pc, but first I’ll save up for a car after I get this drum pedal, yes I have millions of annoyingly expensive hobbies lol, glad I watched this video to know where I stand, I also do boces which is hands on based learning for those who don’t know, so I get to work on cars every morning and I’ve been doing that since last year too
Same. I like cars, drumming, building computers, Warhammer and model building. Needless to say I don't have much money lol
@Egg Man XD
@@bigmanmccheez5342 I like cars, bikes, computers, and keyboards. I hate having expensive hobbies.
Why you trying to validate yourself? It doesn’t matter if you love cars than you love cars all these labels are so dumb 🤦🏽💀
@@bigmanmccheez5342Very similar as well.

I’m an amateur. I’m working and saving up for a Ford ranger. That’ll be me first car (and truck) and I could use for yard work and which I’ll make more money and then continue to use the money to further this hobby.
In the meantime, I tinker on old broken lawn equipment engines. If you need to learn, just take apart broken engines regardless where they are from. Don’t even worry about trying to put restore. Just learn
My only goal for a first car is must be manual because imo you can’t consider yourself a intermediate level without knowing how to drive stick
@@justchillin7552 gatekeeping

@@justchillin7552 I want to drive a manual eventually (I love old cars so I one day probably would have to know regardless). I know how to drive a manual but I just have never really done it. Im not saying I have a lot of head knowledge but I certainly do have more head knowledge than experience.
Lol if I get a Ford ranger that came in a manual that would awesome lol
Love the Dragon video in the background! I ran it in my GT350 earlier this year and it was definitely worth the bucket list spot.
I definitely agree with you on these, I feel like you explained a lot of this really well. And especially the veteran portion, like I'd say I'm probably in the amateur stage going off what you've said cause I do a lot of those things but I don't own a car yet, I will be purchasing one within the next year or so but still. Anyways I feel like I may not advance too much farther other than intermediate because I do have other hobbies, like scuba diving and marine biology studies, thats been a huge part of my life and probably one of the more important ones to me, but I also love cars. I just feel like that's a good example of what you were explaining. You make great videos btw, I really enjoy them, I hope you don't plan to stop any time soon.
Hey there! I'm a beginner and I know this cuz Im a 12 year old 🤣
People say that I concentrate too much on drawing cars but I just wanna be an engineer 😭
Anyways, I have never driven a go kart, but I am this week so I'm ready to pass on another stage!
Also you are so hilarious 😂
good luck bro u gonna be a fantastic engineer if u work hard for it
Good luck bro I got faith in u :)
Yoo me too but I'm older and have loved engineering since I was like 4
I'm 10 and probably intermediate
1:18 Ahhh yes MC3 one of my childhood favorites besting not just freaking cod but many of the games I've played, along with kaido battle, the mid 2000s were different man...
MineCraft3
Before anyone says anything im not stupid i know its not MineCraft😆
Honestly this is really encouraging, even though I never intend on going beyond the blossom/fledgling stage. This applies to a lot of hobbies, like art and gaming, which I want to spend my life on. Both are about equally important to me, and as a beginner to art, I'm not sure where I'll find myself being content with my work at.
Great video man, really loved it and after watching this video i can safely now say i am on the fledgling level! :D
I'm still blossoming, as I only recently got interested in learning about how cars work. It surprisingly started with the VW Beetle, which I hope to own soon enough. They look so fun to drive and repair. I hope to make something out of it, like becoming a mechanic in my spare time.
Donut media has a playlist called Science Garage, it's something that helped me emensly to learn about how a car works, and I think it will really make you fall in love in cars if you love how things work
And from that same channel, Zack also made a complete video on all the very basic things to know about maintaining your vehicle of choice, which was really helpful insight and valuable knowledge to me. I recent started as an amateur mechanic so all I do is practice the things mentioned in Zack’s video.
Keep going man! We got lots of cool people in the community. Btw, I love the VW beetle too 😊
I think your a fledgling by the way it sounds!
I play Mario kart. I’m a FULL CAR ENTHUSIAST!
woW bRO, niCe.
This is a great video. I've always liked cars (since I was around 2 or 3 naming all the cars in the parking lot) and I've only amassed more and more knowledge over the years. I love immersing myself in automotive news and watching videos involving the mechanics, history, and science of cars. However, for the past few years I've been devoutly committed to cross country and track and I've made so many more connections through that than I have with cars. I still have lots of fun attending a car meet/show every month or so but other than that I'm very distanced from the physical community. It's also hard to think about what car I'll be able to get with my money that still satisfies my parents' concerns for safety, age, insurance cost, etc. Hopefully this gives some deeper perspective of the reasoning behind settling lower on the scale :)
your way of grouping people into, it is quite good, well structured and still not making people feel lesser.
tbh dont know whats wrong with my brain but trucks is probably what i like most about cars. like it just seems like such a nice job to basically drive all day
Saying up for my Miata, it’s coming within the next 6 months I can feel it 😎
But my favorite thing to do currently is help my grandpa when he fixes cars and go to an actual race tracks and race the go karts that go 50+ mph. Best time of my life!
UPDATE: I was not able to buy a Miata as prices increased right as I was ready but I was able to buy my other dream car aka a 02 wrx wagon. I have also started my dream job, that being a mechanic.
As someone who just bought a Miata a few months ago, I can say if you like handling and feeling the road you wont be disappointed!
@@mworld2611 I made what I want the car to look like in nfs heat, imma stance it out and maybe put bags on it. But I also would want to drift it at some point
@@itsmrpanda very cool! Sounds like that'll be fun! I'm going to autocross mine in the spring :)
I like your enthusiasm but the truth is, it ain't that easy. Money is hard to earn and procrastination is your biggest enemy. Two years ago I said something similar and now atm COVID is a problem and I barely worked and earned money because of that; it's tough man. Still I wish you the best of luck. Maybe a couple years down the line I will buy myself a PS13 my dream car; that I can guarantee 🤞
@@ChicaneMedia if you dont have bills and work hard, youll have a decent car in no time. I worked two jobs last summer and I saved up all my money. Ok ngl being from Nebraska and being 16 and hearing about people winning championships at 16 and me having next to no time in a race car, I had kind of given up on my dream of ever being in the Stock Car racing scene. But after this video you have low key inspired me to actually try, I never knew where to start or what to do, but this video has kind of helped me find what to do and actually that I’m on the right track, currently trying to get a job from a family friend mechanics shop here in town. Thanks for what you’ve done if I ever do live out my dream and make it to NASCAR cup series competition, it very well could’ve been all because of you.
In The Fledgling phase and can say : Been there, Done that
Okay so according to this, if owning a kart counts as owning a car I was on the internediate level at 5.
Well if you own an F1 Car, it’s essentially an overpowered and over engineered go kart
Love that you put stuff in video game terms, accept that you have finite skill points and invest them with your time in stuff you care about. You don’t have to complete the skill tree to be a part of the community
I’m 22 and hit the veteran part of car enthusiasm. It doesn’t really matter you’re age or background. That’s what I love about cars. You’ll see so many cool builds. I have an 07 si and did everything I could to that car. Go to test and tune at the strip to hit the best time. Help friends with there cars. Currently putting together my 88 Camaro 1LE that my uncle gave me for going to college. Has 44k miles on it and very excited. It’s a lot different then the si and ready to get it on the road. I have a car group with some pretty cool people and my friends who love cars. You’re channel really helped spark my car interest when I was younger. Best sounding corvette!!
“68 mangas about traps”… I’m not judging Bladed👁👁
😳👀
Vid idea: car guys VS non-car guy idiots (clout guys).
If you live in Atlanta, you know of these types of idiots/just non-car guys. Like the idiot running red lights in his clapped out Dodge Charger cutting you off. The kind of idiots you find at those street takeovers that people keep getting killed at
I got into cars back in June as a rabbit hole but now I’m hooked
I'm a amateur car guy I guess. Aslo..really like how you explained the requirements for each level. Nice video!
I'm 22, never reached Amateur because of financial problems in the family. All whilst having the dream to hit the track and just go at it 😞 I'm working towards it now though.
Honestly, don't beat yourself up my guy. Being poor usually forces you to become knowledgeable in the mechanic side of the hobby. Cool or interesting cars are rarely available for us poor enthusiasts without major sacrifice. I don't really agree with how he has set up his list. Too much about it is skewed toward middle class to wealthy car enthusiast.
it's simpler than that: a semi pro gets somebody else to pay some of their toys. a pro gets someone else to pay for ALL their toys.
hello bladed
this video is gonna help me and other people like me(internet car guys) a lot :)
For me i'll be a Beginner/Amateur for a good couple of years more, car enthusiasm is an EXPENSIVE AF hobby...but im fine with that cuz the community is fun to chill in, but admittedly ive been putting the brakes on my path to veteran because im trying to settle things up as a future V-Tuber, after that i can probably balance things between the two. This video helped me understand where i am though and its fun to know what future paths i can go down !
Finally, just finished studying boom this popped up at the right time :)
I was in the middle of studying and it popped up. Figured it was time for a break!
I considered myself an amateur forever but after this video I'm rather an intermediate with an almost finished car project, many ideas for my next project, regularly attending car meets with my project car and often working on my shitboxes. But I rather return to wrenching a little bit more before I get too flattered :D
"In my case, over 68 are about traps, hahahaha, no one is going to actually read this"
Got you Bladed! XD
Me being very thorough with anything I do I usually wouldn't miss the details you put in your videos (including the 2 frame flashes you add, I try to pause on those frames too XD). Plus, I'm a 'Cartaku'. I love both Cars as well as Anime! Ergo, no way I was not going to read. XD
Keep adding such details Bladed. It is one of the things that sets you apart as a car content creator. Much appreciated.
Lovely video! and I guess i’m a amateur and I am incredibly happy with that lol
At this point I’m more likely to become a veteran gun enthusiast then car veteran enthusiast right now.
English is the international language. When you make any content in English, the whole world is watching you.
I think Bladed in one of the very few persons who realize that.
I'm saying this because I live in a place where an ecoboost mustang coasts like a billion dollar.
Bro a mustang mach 1 here costs like $140k, it's fucking terrible for car guys to live outside countries like US
i really love how this was put together/explained
Thank you for this video! I'm glad to know where I'm at. I'm deciding to get a motorcycle instead of my first car being a sports car but someone I met last year, he bought shit cars until he could afford the car he wanted. He turned 21 and bought a Camaro zl1 1le. Found this inspirational!
Damn, after being a car guy for years, Im still amateur.
I have no car, and all I go to is a few car shows and buy a shit tone of little models which are 1:64 XD.
Although I'm spending my whole Uni education in my ambition to designing cars as a career so we'll see how far I go.
So I decided to buy more of a practical vehicle, last September I bought a 2017 colorado zr2 main reason Michigan winters and want something to drive all year. I got myself a 7 year finance and if I don't move out I can have it paid off by 2023.
Started off with wanting a MINI then got into sim racing. Got my MINI joined a community and now I’m on my way to learn how to become a mechanic and wanting to track. Excited for my future. Just want to thank you Bladed for helping me get here.
I started out with a broken Geo Metro I found abandoned back in 7th grade. Then I moved up to a Mustang V6 as my first "sporty" car - And also my first manual. I took it racing and would repair/install parts whenever I was capable of doing so. Now, I have an STI hatch with a whole list of upgrades done to it (it started out mostly stock, but the motor blew, so there went my wallet).
I still have all 3 vehicles and I'm still maintaining them to this day.
Y'know, I always thought of myself as being super beginner due to my lack of emense knowledge on cars (I only really have veterans for reference), but now I see I'm much closer to intermediate. This year I'm attempting my first engine swap, wish me luck y'all. 🙏
🙏
I am so happy you pointed out the difficulty of cars outside U.S.
Americans make fun of cars
So true, over here it seems like the insurance for anything over a 1l will cripple you financially... I own a ford Ka and for the same money I have to spend on insurance I could easily run a Silvia for the same running costs in the states
Ive been a car enthusiast since i was 4, yea im not even joking, my grandpa got me into fords and it made me learn alot about cars now, the points you bring up feel like nolstalgia now
I’m locked around the veteran range. I’ve owned multiple dream vehicles, i daily my 2020 mustang gt and drag it at the strip, work on my 70 impala, build my 94 impala, go to car meets, host charity events with my car club, and I spend time on my simulation rig. I’m looking to buy a NA miata to get into the realm of road course racing, looking to find a new challenge with cars. I never plan to go further than veteran though, because like you said, other hobbies are just as important in my life. Great video, I think this tier system is well thought out and should work well with the car community as a whole.
I would say that I'm a semi-pro (If the requirement to that is just having it as a career). Studying in becoming a car mechanic and going to go as an intern at an authorized auto shop for Cupra, SEAT, Volkswagen, and Skoda. I May not own a car, nor a license but will be getting a car (Probably OG Saab 900 or a Saab 9000) to work on with my dad when we have a garage and then work on his car too (NG Saab 900 Turbo Convertible, he loves that thing and has owned it for 12 years).
I got the passion from a young age but I instantly fell in love with cars from a Saab meet 2 years ago which grew a lot. And my grand-grandfather was a teacher who taught students to work on cars, and then my grandfather worked as a mechanic for many years before becoming a teacher like his dad. And my dad isn't a mechanic but has a big interest in cars (I would say that he's a veteran). Which got basically passed down to me. All of us love Saab and then cars in general. I'm not disappointed!
i mean how does this work tho cus i go to tech school so i can learn to work on cars but i dont have a car either so we just semi pros or something?
@@usui4016 I mean, he didn't mention on OWNING a car or a license. Just having it as a career. I'll eventually get a license which isn't too far ahead. He also said that he drew a line between hobyist and career. Which I'd imagine that they are in their like, own sections in a way. Idk, he didn't mention the "requirements" on it for the others. If we are talking about that you have to own a license, car and stuff then yeah, amateur. If not, semi pro. (The gymnasium taht I go to has half school half intern so a few days in a week you'll be an intern working at a real job)
I find this video very helpful. Especially at my age
i consider myself an amateur enthusiest however about 3 years ago i really got amazed by drifting and tuning is something ive wanted to do as a part time job, i just recently got a job and convinced my parents to allow me to buy a project car(drift build) hopefully this yearor next year with my new job money engine swap it turbo it and tune it all on my own while building a powder coating business to fund both and hopefully i can open the first skidpad/ mini track on the island of st.kitts , i have gone to one car show but st.kitts doesnt have them much so i dont think i fit but i know for a fact this is my heartfelt passion.
Man, the whole vid I was so distracted by the tail of the dragon footage. Was that TF? I just did my first one this year. Super addicted now. I can't wait for the next.
I’ve always had a thing for anything with a motor since I was a kid I’ve always had snowmobiles and quads etc. my dad too and he’s always been into cars and stuff his whole life so he’s taught me a lot. I currently have a 09 Honda Accord v6 coupe which is my first car and I’ve started doing things here and there to it. I love the car but it’s just a daily for me pretty much. After this car I’m probably going to get a truck in the next year but I’m going to work towards a newer ss Camaro (realistic dream car) so for me I’m just into anything with a motor. Wouldn’t classify myself as a “big car guy” right now but who know what the future will hold
If it’s a manual, hold onto that Accord. I have a feeling they’re gonna jump in value in the next 5-7 years
@@Galian6686 5 speed auto unfortunately, but does what I need the values already going up on them from what I can tell on Facebook. Probably going to keep it for a long time as it only has 55,000 miles
@@Landon1860 I used a friends for a week a couple years ago and they’ll surprise a lot of more powerful cars.
@@Galian6686 yeah they move pretty good I was surprised at first when I got the car
I found a nice deal on a 1985 dihatsu charade detomaso turbo and honestly as my first car at 19 I am in love with it it's like the most 80s japanese hot hatch with Italian touches you can get and owning it has grown me so much as a car person been a car person since I was around 5 drawing cars but this car has changed me from let's say a stupid 12 year old jdm fanboy to a person who respects and love a machine for what it is slow or fast big or small if a car has good looks good quirks sounds good and fun to drive it to me is a piece of art
I got into cars by my dad who's now not to into cars. Playing grand turismo 5, 6 and sport made me get into cars. Also watching top gear gained a lot of knowledge about cars. My college tutor said I know more then a level 3 person did and I started at level 1 for car mechanics. I love car communities a lot
realllllly reallllly good vid GG on this .... i think i would be a semi pro depending on this vid but like u said a true veteran is way above my level depending on what aspect they are willing to talk about .... like i would consider myself as a semi_pro auto body fabricator and stylists
I don't know how many people experienced it this way but I branched out from loving cars to loving racing and now it's about 60% racing, 40% cars.
Loving the intro lol
As a beginner stage car guy, whos now looking to get a license when I have the time and money and want to get a car - atm either Volvo 240 or Opel Omega and mod the sh*t out of it (coz Lotus Omegas are 50k+ euro lmao), who also happens to be a semi-professional fighting game player and amateur commentator that started with Guilty Gear Xrd and Strive, the fact that youre basically the reverse of what I am interest wise (newbie car person, seasoned weeb for me; seasoned car person, casual anime fan for you). Im so happy someone whos such a cool person as you shares two of my main hobbies, Im always happy to see more cool people playing Gear or just FGs in general. Much love from Czech Republic, Central Europe.
awesome! I'm an intermediate enthusiast! I take my modded mustang to meets and cruises all the time, and my built hummer goes to shows and offroading

Thank you bladed, now I don't have an excuse to not spend significant amounts of money on buying a car I don't need. I fucking need this.
Looks like I ain't ever gonna save up a car now that I can spend $300 each for 20 cars with hentai on them
RC CAR ITASHAAAAAAAAAA BROOOOOOOO
THAT SHIT WAS FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Working headlights and all! It cost him like $400 to build, but god it's cooler than actual full sized cars I know lmfao.
As a thirteen year old I would consider myself to be in between fledgling and beginner. I have been interested in them for a year or two and I have a ~$500 sim rig which I use lots but unfortunately I haven't been able to go to any car shows/meets because of lockdown in my country.
Yessir bladed is with the honkai fam too 🔥🔥🔥
I’m loving the Ridge racer 4 background music 🎶 always my go to when cruising
@Bladed Angel Why not just say you read 69 manga's about traps? XD Love you videos btw
Well give me a 69th recommendation then lol. Spoiler: I've probably already read what you're about to suggest. I count Dounjinshi's in another category entirely.
@@BladedAngel If I'm being honest I wouldn’t know where to start because I'm only a beginner anime enthusiast but I'm sure there has to be at least one more out there.
I’m saving up for a 2014 Mustang GT currently, I only have a Honda Civic rn haha. Can’t wait till I can get the mustang tho. I already know how to work on some things
You'll get there man! Just... respect the torque lol. Practice getting the tail out in a safe spot so you know what to expect, so the car is predictable in all circumstances. (not that you need to be told this)
@@nthgth thank you for the advice man!!
the reasoning behind this video is actually really good.
When you started talking about racing around 13 minute mark, I need help and completely distracted by the curves on that road, I had to rewind
I really love driving different cars, and I actually prefer taking grocery getters to the limit than being scared in a 700hp+ monsters. Also my ultimate goal as a car guy is to become a trucker. Is this weird for a car guy?
not weird. I have a car enthusiast friend who is going into trucking as a career
@@DC2_Danny I would become a trucker but the pay and working conditions plus overall political climate for them is going nowhere but down...
My introduction to the car community was going to meets with a friend of mine. Before that, I wasn't into cars at all and only recognized a few from some video games.
But I regularly started attending car meets with my friend and that allowed me to begin to blossom and find my way back up to the amateur state.
Currently, I think I'm dipping my toes into the intermediate stage as I got myself an ol Integra and work on it to both save money and get to know my car better. I take it to meets but I'm not sure if I want to modify it for performance or anything like that yet so idk if I'll ever get out of this stage but I'm perfectly comfortable here right now as college and scraping together enough money to survive are my priorites right now.
I see myself at somewhere between armature and beginner. I don't go to car shows or other activities enough, but I always make time to watch the 24h of Le Mans. I do engage in some sim racing (got a wheel, pedals, and a shifter)
Ive dedicated my entire life to cars since birth. I built cars with my grandfather and I think im close to hitting the intermediate phase. I bought my dream car, my first car, a 1978 Ford Thunderbird and now I just have to start getting more involved in car events and getting to know more car people irl. Im so excited for when the snow melts! Youll see me cruising in all my malaise glory!
I’ve been an amateur since I was 5
Me to
There are 2 things in life that I really enjoy: Cars, and bikes. Being into one is already expensive.
Fun fact: Almost every biker I know, is also into cars. But not the other way around. I would almost say that the bike is the next step after being into cars.
Lol same for me
the corvette after bladed mentions buying anime stuff *winks cutely* *takes all your money* thank you ;)
Lol it all started because I finally gave in to watching initial D and after that it's like it's all I can think about. Even just changing my stock air filter brought me joy. ❤ 🚗
I got rear ended this past week taking my miata out of this month's Car's and Coffee. It is giving me an itch I need to scratch. It was so fun last time I did it.
Cool video! Now i know that amateur, but i'll be at least intermediate in 1 years because i will have a car :)
When I played midnight club I had over a dozen classic replicas. I even put wood grain on the side of a lot of General motors cars. We'd be in the online lobby showing off cars for hours, barely racing.
Good times.
i totally never agree on your videos but i still enjoy them alot lol
Did not expect to get a shout out here 😂
From the Philippines here and I just bought my first car. A '96 Honda Accord.
I might be amateur I've been gokarting before and I did drive a kart at one of my jobs and I absolutely enjoyed swinging it cleanly around corners I throughly enjoyed that.
After 45 years in the hobby, I fully agree with your breakdown here.
Brilliant video, gave me pause to reflect on what I truly desire with automotives.
For a few years now since my dad's passing I've been contemplating what to do with a car (1975 Toyota Crown, manual RWD 2.6L inline 6) we had planned to build into a custom cruiser with some spirited driving performance mods. Still wanted to build it into what we dreamed for a long time yet now with the craziness going on in the world I've come to accept it's not the right thing to do right now and let someone else create something with it like I have with my old 1978 Chrysler Sigma Scorpion (manual RWD 2L inline 4) - the current owner is a family friend, him and his son are having a blast building it into a rally car. Might come back to a larger project in the future when my life is in a better place.
Sometimes we must remove a part of ourselves that we love because it has become a source of stress - feels like it's time to downgrade my enthusiasm of automotives from dreams of a complete build to purely enjoying the driving and ownership experience (maintenance and some modifying included) to make room for my greater dream of helping people with changing themselves through holistic health and psychedelic experiences.
Keep up the brilliant work
I sincerely enjoyed reading this. What a warm and uplifting comment.
Happy to be a perma intermediate car guy and probably a fledgling anime watcher. Only watch a couple animes but did thoroughly enjoy tales of zestiria and berseria. Zaveid is a chad
Mentioning other hobbies was an interesting bit in this video. I like tech and gaming just as much-I mean, I did name my cars after F-Zero characters, and I'm learning about tuning software. Good thing I already figured out how to tie all three hobbies together just as you did with Itasha.
This video was quite useful.
As a kid into cars I have to find out ways to earn money but I really enjoy anything that involves cars (rc cars go karts drawing cars building Lego cars).I am really interested in getting my first car even do in 13 and have barely any money to get the car.I loved anything that involves cars for like my whole life.I can't wait to really get into the car community and meet other people and there cars and learn new things!
