    Can I just say that I love that your videos are at a reasonable length. You do have longer videos because of the topic and what's related to it, but you keep it fairly reasonable. You also just get straight to the point without any extra rambling. Love you, Kim!

    I'm loving the idea of covering with plastic & a stocking cap and rinsing the edges! Flaky edges is one of the main reasons why I don't use gel daily. I knew there was a reason why I've been holding on to that cap after I went natural.

I let my hair get to bra strap length (after protective styles, less heat) then had this crazy idea that I wanted a fly ass bob cut..which meant..HEAT! Now I want my curls and my length back. I was really thinking this tbh, and I'm also shocked noone has commented...Anywho, I have 1 child and the most I can do of this routine she presented was rinse and moisturize my edges in the shower.. I don't moisturize and seal every night too much manipulation of the hair (for me I HAVE FINE STRANDS) This isn't to say it's impossible but for most WORKING CLASS especially if your a MOTHER (like my self then this is a bit of a stretch ) HOWEVER I DO REMOISTURIZE AT LEAST 2 - 3 TIMES A WEEK .

    All I can do is watch in admiration at how healthy your hair is and wish I had the time to care for mine like this every day. Between a full time job, grad school and a child I'm on a journey to long healthy hair, but a slow journey indeed. You did inspire me to massage my scalp every night though. I've been massaging with Sulfur 8 and JBCO on my scalp to try and get my edges thicker. Your hair has really grown.

    My hair had minimal growth in the past 5 years. I started doing bantu knots as a nightly routine for the past month because my hair does not hold no twist out or braid out style. I have tried multiple products and it just don't hold. Anyway....my hair just started growing. I avoided daily manipulation because I was told it was bad for your hair, so I don't brush or comb it every day still, but I moisturize it maybe ever other day, sometimes with just water and other times with products and/or oil, then bantu. I have 4c/d hair and I am telling you, it is growing. There is no one size fit all regimen. Find what works for your hair and go with that. That's my 2 cents. lol

I'm starting a new healthy lifestyle and workout everyday makes it tough to do styles and rocking a dry puff is not hott. Thanks so much for this, I tried doing knots with get night but then hair gets sticky so I will try with cream mix.

    • @aliyyaa431
      @aliyyaa431 7 років тому +13

      Dee Bee No prob. It does start to flake if not washed out and starts to build up (like any edge control). Also, I always use something with a natural oil in it( olive, caster, coconut) as a barrier before the gorilla snot, because it does contain alcohol and that can dry out your edges/break the off. Hope that helps!! 🤗
