      Students encouraged him to get help. His parents took to counseling, AND, James was competent enough to conceal and prevent others from helping him. The episode blatantly shares how James willingly took himself out of socialization. There is medication for his anxiety, but James did not want it. He wanted to indulge in his concealed voices.

      @Kor B I know where I'm at, they've also started checking people's bags at the door. At first, I thought it was to prevent snacks from being snuck in, but then I realized it's only since the shooting. And there's police officers that patrol the theaters here, too.

    • @misfitbrit1989
      @misfitbrit1989 2 роки тому

      @@moldyvoldy1231 I didn't think they were allowed to check bags at a movie theater without reason but it's a smart idea. After Columbine, lots of school districts made it so the only acceptable backpack was a clear one so staff could look in. Last time I ever saw a cop at the theaters was for The Grudge 2 and that was just because that particular theater was the one where the high or drunk college kids would go. Distracting but things never got violent. Having to have them because of a massacre in a theater by a deranged person isn't something I thought we'd ever arrive at.

A bunch of them have been permanently closed.

It was all incumbency, is it all about their mental health or is it also about the notoriety it will bring too. I don't think you can classify James Holmes as a human being, not with what he's done. He's a deeply disturbed monster who can't distinguish or understand the diffrence between fantasy and reality and it cost the lives of so many people. His parents tried to get him help and he didn't accept it. He's insane but not incompetent so he is guilty.

    G's partner here...The signs were there long before this tragedy. I have a mental illness, which includes social anxiety etc...so I don't believe that or his past is an excuse, video games, or movies etc. He's just evil. My opinion only. My heartfelt thoughts go to the victims, families and friends.

    I remember when I saw the Dark Knight in 2008 I thought that at least one person in the world is going to copycat the Joker character in a bad way.Films and Entertainment have the ability to influence minds sometimes in a very bad way.Never confuse art and entertainment with reality.

    The saddest thing to me was Mark Hamill's reaction to it all. For those of you who aren't aware, good ol Luke was the voice of The Joker from BTAS and to a lot of fans quintessential clown prince of crime.
    A perfect blend of a clown and the killer. Mark was devastated by what had happened, even going so far as to blame himself at one point.

    Yet another case of a kid who comes from a well to to do family with parents that are really intelligent and they have these kids who are just weird and grow up to be mass killers or slaughter there own families. And they talk about children of poor families. And you hear about cases like this all the time allover the place. And a great many of them come from these well to do over achiever families.

    • @Aschuu
      @Aschuu 2 роки тому +4

      Yeah can we have some examples to see that this is a common occurrence? Because I believe there is alot more evidence of children coming from poverty stricken backgrounds, with parents who are not as educated, then the child grows up and joins a gang or feels unwanted and in turn, murders... Alot more documented cases of that...

    People have made a massive thing about James and the Batman films. But one of the main reasons he chose that film screening was because it was on late at night, and there was less chance of any children there, because its alleged he said he didn't want to shoot any kids.

    On a more brighter sidestory: As many of you would've read or heard, Christian Bale, who played Batman and his alter-ego Bruce Wayne in the Dark Knight trilogy, and his wife made an amazingly surprising, yet emotion, visit to Aurora several days after the massacre, where they layed flowers at the memorial for the victims outside the Century 16 theater and met the wounded survivors in the hospital.

    Just took my two little girls to the Taylor Swift premier of her Eras tour movie on Friday October 13th 2023. As a mother I sat there and couldn’t help but think of this case, it didn’t cross my mind until I kept hearing popping sounds behind me as all the little girls danced and sang to the music, I heard popping sounds two different times and couldn’t enjoy the movie because I sat there continuously scanning the theater for anyone suspicious or acting out of the ordinary, cases like this truly have an effect on everyone for decades to come😭😓 I am a staunch supporter of the 2A and wished I was able to conceal carry just in case of something like this happening, I wouldn’t have been as on edge if that were the case but sadly it’s not...the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun period..
