G'day Mate, Have thought about welding the rear suspension cradle mounts up so the cradle doesn't flop around under acceleration, braking and conering it's very cheap and effective.
@@JulianGriggs Okay that would be a great idea. Another cheaper option is to source the face lift xjs rear end complete they run the outboard brake setup. You could also just get the half shafts hub and brakes of the face lift xjs and retro fit them to your xjs with little modification. Edit: Face lift XJS (The very late model XJS had outboard brake setup) Also the XJ40 outboard brake and Hub assy can be retro fitted to the XJS rear suspension.
Hey Julian, I know it's been a while, but have you ever installed a rear sway bar on your car.. and if so did you have to drop the suspension to install it, or can you snake it through? Cheers.
Does the new springs lower the back slightly ? I’ve got gaz shocks on with standard springs snd I want it lower so I don’t have to wind the shock height adjuster all way to low etc
With no weight in the back of the car, the springs lowered the car about a half inch at the rear. Probably could get it lower by removing the locking ring but we’ll see the actual ride height when the fuel cell, trunk lid and battery are installed.
@@JulianGriggs yeah did you get the adjustable shocks for the rear ? I like the xjs at the rear sat slightly over the back wheels but that’s just me lol I think it eccentuates the shape of the back end 😬
@@JulianGriggs cool, that looks like a nice set. Whenever I replace mine I have thought about those. The bilsteins also seem to be another popular option.
Didn't realize how easy this was! Great video as always!
Thanks for the support, I appreciate it!
It’s personal preference on ride height . I personally like my xjs s all slightly lower on back than stock .

I have thought of that.. I’m also considering a tubular IRS for better access for servicing the brakes.

Did you also lower the IRS for this? It looks like the mounts are unbolted but I can't tell for sure.

Have you driven it yet? Wondering what you think of them.
I have, no hard driving tho. Definitely a nice upgrade over stock.

Can you link the contact / website for simply performance? Did you also replace the fronts?
You can check them out on Facebook!
Yes, I replaced the front with lowering springs. Big difference!
