I absolutely lived to sack QB's, but even all pro defensive ends & linebackers can't nail him. Worse, his decision making under stress is Green Beret Team Level. In addition to being smart & resourceful under pressure he can & does find the open man more often than most guys who just pitch from the pocket. Holy cow!

During the documentary I found myself having immense respect for Patrick Mahomes. Not because he is a great player, but because I have never seen anyone bring together a team like he does. His communication and spirit and how the players respect him. I also enjoyed this video on his 27 plays and shows you how he brings the best out of the team. He is amazing. For anyone who doesn't know why #1 is what it is, it's not just the throw itself, it's everything that came behind it. As you saw, Patty HIMSELF called this play. But what you didn't see is that Patty is the one who told Hill to keep running forward, changing the normal route because he knew they wouldn't see it. He KNEW Hill would be open in that spot, and he knew he just needed enough time to get it there, that's why he stepped back like 15 yards. Skip loves to trash that play but it was truly magical, from conception to execution, and it's part of WHY Patty was the MVP of that game 💯

I didn't think it was possible for a QB to be more talented than Rodgers, but there's zero doubt about it, Mahomes is the most talented QB of all time, and these first 5 years as a starter (2018-2022) is probably the best 5 year stretch of QB play ever.
