A Day in the Life at Standard Byke Company

- I spent a chilly Saturday back in March with Rick Moliterno and the boys at Standard Byke Company. I wanted an inside view to some of the inner workings of an American made bmx company.
Rick is a legend. He's still making Standard Bykes because they're the best. Much respect.
Yup them and s&m I have both love them 🤙
I met Rick when he was touring with Woody Itson for Hutch. He was impressed I actually had a magazine photo of him to sign. 😄 His riding in the years after was next level on both ramps and flatland. It's fantastic to see he has created his own company and remains in the industry we all love. Enjoyed this peek into the daily life. 👍
Gave my Trail Boss to my cousins son last week. He was riding a Hyper and I said that’s not acceptable.
Still have my STA and a Luc-e
I’ve met Rick numerous times and he’s in my opinion one of the best riders in history.
He can do anything.
Some days I get really sad because I miss the 80’s and 90’s so much.
Glad to see he’s still ‘cranking’ out the best BMX frames on earth.
Rick looks like a very humble and quality human. Very impressed by the way he conducts himself and his brilliant bike company. This gives the rest of the world a view of what we love about the best of America 🇺🇸
Raced my set of 125R's for over 10 years, got so many comments of 'I had one those, loved it man...'
I still have my 1994 Lengthy that I ordered every piece out of either BMX Plus, or the local Bike Shop in San Diego. 👍🏽🇺🇲😎🤘🏽
I still think Covert Operations is one of the best BMX videos of all time.
I’ve been riding standard bykes since the early 90’s, by far the best 20” rigs on the market. Keep up the awesome work gentlemen, you rock.🤘
STANDARD ARMY FOR LIFE
Its so awesome knowing these badass bikes are made here right down the road from me
Thanks for the vid! Makes me wanna ride my river rat bike today.
Great Documentary. Thanks for putting this out. Now, it's time to purchase a Standard Frame. Oh Yeah!
This was a rad video. I would like to see Rick do a long format podcast with somebody like Kinode or Brant Moore.
This is rad! Thanks for putting this one out!
Heck yeah sbc! still rippin 🔥👌
I knew when I was buying a standard bike & frame & Forker & bars & stem I was buying quality. And not just something that has mass produce over price. I’ve always felt proud on a standard throughout my racing career and Street in Park and dirt. No questions asked. Give me my standard.
He's a powerhouse. He'll live.
Wow! How fucking cool! Nice work!! What a great facility. A full BMX studio in a way. I just got my oldest riding my old standard frame. Nice work to everyone at Standard. What an awesome legacy company building better than ever!! 💪💪💪
Great work/great American bikes and set up there Rick!
Amazing, a treat to watch!
Slick & impressive operations going on. Nice.
Fine product
I know guys that still have mid school STAs and last gen Lengthys Been through hell and back, most of them are collectors items now but I guarantee you could still put in a session on one with no issues.
Domination.
I loved that video. I ran a sta 500 and still have a 250
Most legit bike company ever
I've still got my STA 500 that i brought 23 years ago 😍
This video was Soo cool. Ricks a super cool dude. I've known him since the early days skating at Rampage..
Even simple front break tricks are magic
I love what he’s doing over there and respect him for sure but I wish he was a little more custom frame friendly. Or, was more willing to help make frame mod dreams come true! 🤣. When I’ve asked him about a couple projects I’ve had in the past he didn’t want to touch it. There’s this guy in France who builds amazing custom frames, forks, and bars who has become very popular and he’s always said yes to the things Standard Byke Co has told me NO. It’s Malo Tostinint and he does amazing work. Come on Rick step up a little more and become more of a YES person when it comes to customs or MODS!
Good video. What frame(s) does Rick ride?
Good to see the reverse light on the truck got fixed
this was great to the end. i do documentaries also. my bike videos are just me doing tricks etc. but my documentaries are bigfoot. and the walking dead or KISS. for the most part. good work. cool to see how clean the shop is and how they do it.
i met you many years ago at rampage. i was driving through from colorado to illinois. i stopped by and you were there. so nice to me. i got to walk around and look at the park and i came out and you gave me some big standard stickers. i still got a lava light in my bedroom that has that standard sticker still on it. sticker has held for over 20 years. never come off. looks like new. i am a flatland freestyle guy over 50 and i make bmx videos also. if this is not ricks channel. does rick have one?
Not Rick’s channel, but he does have an ig and fb pages that he’s active on
@@Murderbike i dont do ig. but what is the facebook? just standard byke company i assume?
Yep, Standard. But has his personal one too under his name
SBC 🤘
Wish I could afford a custom frame
Powder coating is choice

Who puts all that crap in the grand canyon?
I hope you have turned to Christ ♥️.
I renounced "secret societies".
Convert from southern Baptist to Catholic ♥️🤣.
Wait.. what?
awesome video ❤ , standard rules 🎉
i got a 125 frame for racing and when i stopped racing i put street/jump parts on it and been beating its ass for a few years. lol so no their frames are not over priced, they are quality. id get another one but this one wont break LMAO not gonna lie though the im a painter,,, the powder was wack, i sanded it all off n PAINTED IT WITH HOUSE OF KOLOR URETHANE. sickest standard on the planet.
