    Standard was a game changer in 91 - I got a St. Lenghty and could not believe how strong this Frame was....Man, those dropouts were unbreakable and so was the hole Frame....I never had Problems with ST products and they even offer a lifetime warranty, Thanks Rick for everything you´ve done for BMX!!!

    One of the most respected big name brands that stay low key, I only wish they would publish more often for the sake.

    I'm buying a Standard 250L in red next week. I looked around all winter for my first build in over 15 years and always kept coming back to Standard. Like buying a frame from the guy down the road, who just happens to be one of the coolest guys in BMX history.

    Mike Hummel and Brandon pundai were big news in my town of greensburg pa. back in the late 90s early 2000s...Wow man I remember asking Brandon aren't you worried you will break that frame and he would say...."No Rick will send me a new one" lol. I believe he was sponsored by standard and camp three. I miss riding, I'm 35 years old now. My favourite bike was standard with 3 pc cranks and pegs on left side for rails and feeble grinds. I'm sick thinking about not riding anymore. I love exit 63 rode trip video!!! Awesome riding all over the u.s....God Bless

    Standard 99 Euro tour was hands down my fav BMX edit. Everything that team was doing then, was wayyyyyy a head of anything at that time.

    I remember i worked a full summer season thru to get my standard lenghty. It was an olive green one and it was the far best looking and strongest frame i have ever had.
    Now im 41 and im def gonna order a new sta for my son although he is only 4...but it's gonna be good for me for a few years 'till he gets it :)

    It’s funny cause Luc-e and Gonz were basically riding years ahead of there time. The bikes are so light now, and 25/9 is maybe the only thing somebody wasn’t already doing in the 90’s. Standard set the standard ( hilarious 😏)

    Still a die hard standard bykes fan 16 years after my original sta 500. Bikes been stolen, resurrected, hit by cars road of buildings and docks. It took 10 years of abuse before her first crack. She was a heavy bitch but i loved her and this company!

    ive always road brakeless but id really like to see company's start using disc brakes

    • @jdiggitty
      @jdiggitty 8 років тому +1

      As soon as that rotor is bent it's over. Higher end disc brakes are hydraulic as well. There is a lot of stuff that can be pulled off. Danny Macaskill rides disk brakes but isn't considered BMX

    • @Bmxunion
      @Bmxunion  8 років тому

      Disc brakes were tried on BMX years ago and they lasted about as long as it took to make them. They would bend and break pretty quickly with all the grinds and stuff people are doing on bikes. It might work for racing, but then again, I'm pretty sure they would be doing it by now if it was worthwhile.

    if I want a frame standard is the only company I want . im saving my money for a custom 24" its just hard as ive gotten older with bills its hard to get the money up. and were I grew up people liked to steal bikes even guardimg it with your life they would still find a way to steal it.ive had over 20 stolen out from under my nose and atleast a total of $15,000. if I could have any bike back it was my standard. id trade any bike in the world for a standard. they are my heart.
