I didn't know about the cargo light connection since I also have an access cab Taco, thank you for the info. Will have to use that next time. Also the cover for the fuse box is a great addition since the factory one breaks as soon as you take it off and has no room for a tap a fuse. This video is really useful, giving it a thumbs up to save it. Thanks

For now we only have the 3rd Gen Tacoma harnesses available, but we are working on it! I have prototypes for the 2nd Gen Tacoma and the 5th Gen 4Runner.
Awesome video, awesome product. Question: if your light bar has its own harness with relay; does the black wire not get used going to the switch? It would appear that it is only the ground for the backlight which is now being taken care of in your harness. Thoughts?
That’s right - if your light bar harness is supplying ground to the preexisting switch you would disregard it as the switch illumination harness takes care of ground. You can just put electrical tape over the bare end or heat some shrink tubing and pinch the end to “cap” the unused ground.
Q & A.... I purchased a light with a 6 mode light from white to amber strobe etc. How can I the lumination the switch off the truck the way you did? The brand I prurchased is Naoevo.. Nice light but the toggle switch is oval, I want to put it to a reg toggle. But unsure how to wire it...
I wish I saw this earlier. I replaced my iQ charging switch with the anytime camera switch, and tapped the wiring for backlighting. This harness would've been better
You can use a self tapping screw into the sheet metal, purchase a relay holder that utilizes factory bolts, or purchase/build a panel to hold as many as you’d like.
What you can do is cut the red and black wires coming from the harness and add your own connectors at the end of them, then plug those two leads right into the + and - leads from the dual function switch if you want a more detailed explanation feel free to shoot us an email at support@tacomabeast.com
Sooo I just bought a bumper for my Tacoma and it looks stunning but it came with a light bar as wel but I am having difficulty figuring out what wires do I need to connect

Crimpers are any ratcheting open-barrel crimp tool on Amazon you can find. For the connectors you can find those as a complete wire harness on TacomaBeast (link in the description).
Great video good explanation throughout your installation I have a question so for each accessories red wire has to have its own relay unless you have a higher amp relay? Or can do it at all
You will want 1 relay per accessory/switch. When the relay coil opens it delivers power to all accessories connected to it. So unless you want one switch to power multiple accessories, you’ll want to get a relay for each switch/accessory combination.
Hello. Informative video. My Tacoma TRD Pro off Road 2019 has and issue of PCS & TSS.totaly no power at all. If you font mind can you give me and idea what the isue is. Thank you.
I'm wiring fog lights using the stock GX460 wiring. I'm tapped into the relay wire on the ECU harness. If you ground that wire, it activates the fogs. My question is, do I connect that wire to the Toyota type switch on the relay wire? Tn do I connect "source" (green) to a ground point? Appreciate the advice.
If I'm already using a BD harness do I still need to use the add a fuse in the fuse box or can I just use a wire in the loom to tie to? I think it's the green switch wire to the white harness wire. Is that correct?
Possibly a dumb question -but I was a bit confused about the relays, do you need one relay per accessory? So say I wanted to add ditch lights and a light bar I would need two relays? If that is the case how would I add 2+ relays to one positive terminal to the battery?
You are right! You will want 1 relay per accessory. So each one of those switches is connected to a relay that “relays” power from the battery to the individual accessory. To connect multiple relays to your battery you can just stack ring terminals on top of one another and attach them to the positive post. You can also get special battery terminals that have screw terminals to make it easier on you.
I have a 2014 Tacoma Base Model double cab..It has a 4.0L 6 cylinder engine.I want to add fog lights in the front bumper where the blanks are at now.I also want to add additional lighting on a bull bar.Can I order aftermarket switches and how can I tell if my truck is pre-wired for fog lights? Thank you. Patrick
I can make you a one-off if you’d like, however there isn’t a huge demand for the dual-style OEM switches so I won’t be making them in mass quantities.
@@Yankeefan78471 What about for a dual OEM and a manual transmission? Sounds like I might be in the minority, but planning to wire up the Anytime Backup Camera dual switch in the center console of my manual Tacoma.
@@amarollero3730 I can build that as a one-off for you if you need. The dual front/rear cam switch uses a different connector which I have, but demand is low (yet increasing a bit). The manual trans below HU harness is being prototyped still but I can build a custom solution to hold people over until the fall when they become available to the masses.
If you’re talking about illuminating the backlight of an SP9100 then yes the left of steering wheel harness can be used. You just cut the 2-pin connector off the left of steering wheel harness and attach the white wire from the SP9100 (supposed to go to the parking lights) to the red wire on my harness. You could then just cap the black wire.
Thank you! I’m going to use an SP9100 and a power management tray setup. Just trying to figure out the easiest way for a novice to set it all up without cutting and splicing factory wiring.
I know you guys are Tacoma Beasts, but will any of this awesomeness work on a 4 Runner?? I want to add switches and lighting to my 4 Runner Beast and this would be a game changer!!
Instead of in-line fuses I'd use a fuse block and mount it and all relays near each other. Fuse block usually has a ground bar to accommodate as many grounds as positive wires. This provides ground and hot from battery for many accessories in one spot and usually has red indicators that illuminate if a fuse is blown. Not necessary if you're only wiring one or two accessories but even then it leaves room for additional accessories later.
Might be a dumb question, but would all this apply to a Gen 2 (07-13) Tundra as well? Looking to do the same and would like to use OEM switches since I have the blanks and avoid $$$ SwitchPro, etc. Awesome video and super indepth guys, thank you!
