Honda Magna 3rd gen. regulator rectifier

My install of my regulator/rectifier for the quick fix. Part model number is FH012AA for Yamaha yzf r1. Found on ebay For less than $15 new with free shipping, on amazon too. There is a better way to install it on V4MuscleBike.com. I used what I had available at the time.

It's good your rectifier is placed near side cover.Mine is below battery i dkn why it was placed there my cellulite battery almost wasted my rectifier with excess battery water

What other problems do these bikes have,,. ??? How does the ignition system hold up,,,, ??? Any upgrades,. ???

Was your old one always frying batteries making them smell like rotton eggs?

That was one of the symptoms of it. the regulator can go bad and not charge the battery or it can go bad and over charge the battery and possibly catch fire like on my wife's bike. It can also have intermittent charging. I recommend the voltage regulator upgrade that it shown in the forum V4Musclebike.com. I found our heavy duty regs (yamaha R1) on ebay for less than $20 new. These had the same model number as the ones recommended on V4Musclebike.com.

Thanks for posting this up, ive just had rotten eggs myself, got a new replacemen reg for $40, wish i had seen this sooner. Did you get yours repaired ok Steve? And which batteries are ytou recomending? thinking of the motobatt one.
