Thanks for the great video! this really helped me with my headlight install on my 01 magna. I used your electrical tape tip too! My new bucket did not have a hole in it either, but I was able to reroute all of the harnesses under the gas tank by removing those two plastic covers on the side of the bike.
Link for the bucket with compression ring? I have same light but the housing I found uses clips and sucks for trying to hold the light whatsoever and no compression ring
The back of the Led unit has a large heat sink and it takes up a lot of space. Also the way the headlight mounts is in a captive ring the stock headlight uses a differnt method so to answer your question no you cannot use the stock bucket
I don't have the link anymore but I used a 5.75" harley Davidson style light bucket with the (newer style tree mount that uses 2 tabs not the older single bolt hanging brow style) and then the light is a daymaker brand that is meant for a Harley. Hope that helps
You have to relocate all the wiring outside the housing except the actual bulb wiring to get the large heat sink to fit. I explain how this is done in the video
The only Homda Magna video I ever needed to watch. Difficult to make sense from the manual this and fuel hose layout

What wires did you hook each other up to?
Mine does have a plug just had open wires
Link of the headlight please.
What washers did you use I can’t get the head light to want to stay up strait
Just plain flat washers. Pack them tight
Soon as i get my fork seals and chain done im doing this with some of the truck-lite leds i have
Did you have any issues with your regulator after you ran the LED light for awhile?
Been on the bike for awhile now. No issues.
Thanks. I may take a crack at this later this Fall.
Where'd you get your after market clutch and throttle cables? As well as break cables
Barnett can make them any size you need!
Could you have used the stock headlight bezel or would the LED not fit?
