It’s better to buy land and become a land owner than you can build a tiny home like this rather than renting it from someone else and when they say you have to leave, you lose your stability and cozy home. Owning property is better than renting monthly. Smarter this way! ❤

Just so wonderful! There are so many people, young and old, who would give anything to have a lovely home just like this. It’s so beautifully done. I’m 76 years old. The only thing I would add if it were mine would be a basement or walk-in storage room for linens and things like activity supplies for things of interest and things needed for caring and maintaining such a home and room for seasonal belongings, as well as a bathtub. I would not be ungrateful for a home just like this one. It’s just that after 76 years of life I
have come to realize that things like I have mentioned are important to fill one’s life with meaning beyond the basics.
Thank you for all the hours of hard work put into showing us this wonderful creation.

Lol. Probably would be best to put the washing dryer outside. The bathroom has no space for a washer dryer. And I don't think the kitchen does either. Unless you don't need any storage space. The kitchen is laid out backward than what I would need for myself. I don't care for the windows high up as they are and on the opposite wall then where they need to be. I don't care for the design at all. However for them that does it's cute. But not functional for me.

I think I have to pass on this tiny home. I think it is hard to add a second bedroom under the 600sqft, unless done through lofts. I love the exterior vibe but after evaluating the inside to many little things are missing. Once you but the plans your architect is gonna have to fix them anyway. The only place for utilities like HVAC system is one of the closets and the same goes for electrical panel. Your hot water on demand is gonna go in the bathroom or kitchen in a cabinet. The fridge is going to replace the tall cabinet and probably the one next to it, like half. So at this point you have lost a lot of storage. Note I suppose you could use the attic space for storage or the hot water, but what a mess if it leaks. Then finally you have no laundry which would have to go into the closets as well again taking up valuable real estate in storage. I think a re-lay out of this into a single bed room would be better or adding just a few feet in length would give the space needed. Again just my opinion.

You have a good eye for necessary elements. I didn't notice it was missing the hot water heater for example. I've come to the conclusion that 800sq feet is my minimum. That's for a single bedroom with enough space for a small "extra" room where the laundry and crafts can go along with some storage for tools and Christmas decorations etc. I haven't seen anything smaller that I want to live with long term. If I needed a second bedroom that would have to increase. Or as you said, have loft space that can be utilized.

Love the house, but would need it to be elderly and the disabled friendly with wider doors more room for walker, wheelchair, and or cane use. The bathroom floor should slope a little without stepping over a lip , which could cause falls, rough stone flooring in kitchen and bathroom for non slippage.

Very conventional layout. Much like the tract homes built in the ‘60s all over Southern California. The kitchen table placement would drive me nuts. Unless you could move the entrance over five feet or so you have it in the only place it will fit. Otherwise the kitchen is just super. Two beds, one bath, easy as pie. Nice minimal home. Now, build these in a factory, help folks with site prep and building codes and off you go. People are crying for something at this cost that isn’t on wheels aand set to take off in the next tornado.

In many places, homes have to meet minimum size requirements. Either way, you'd have to check zoning laws in your neighborhood to make sure that it's feasible to build a tiny home on your lot. Isn't that a shame? In a day and age where people are actively trying to stop the rampant consumerism, we're forced to stay on the hamster wheel.

Agreed - could install a tub like they have in Europe or for elderly/disabled - you sit in the tub and it's higher but not as long as American tubs (far more comfortable than American tubs), install a washer and dryer that stack in the 2nd bedroom and make it into a storage/laundry room, put a freezer where the dishwasher is (not a fan of dishwashers! No need for them), and then have a fridge that doesn't have a freezer in the current space (so, a separate fridge and freezer), turn the bed so it fits against the wall (I think there's just enough space if no headboard/backboard) and then there would be space for a dresser or desk, I think. I see the vision!

Having lived in a smaller home (822sqft) w same bathroom size here are a few changes we made that increased storage space. On the wall to the left of the sink near the door we added some picture frame shelves from IKEA. Leaving a gap in the corner just wide enough for cords. It’s the perfect width for face scrubber and electric toothbrushes. I also kept our perfume, deodorant and aftershave lotion. Helps keep the counter clear. Floating shelves are cute but not much storage. We put a cute medicine cabinet on the wall above the toilet. Plus a towel bar across from the toilet so we had our towels hanging when we exited the shower.

Only Permit you do Need is Septic, which is good for 1.5 yrs and You Do NOT have to Renew it as long as you Compost or use Camping Toilets..

@@ravenloransIt varies by state, county, and municipality. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, and I wouldn't recommend building a house based on plans I bought for five bucks on Etsy anyway because your architect is going to have to redo it all anyway to get the permits if you're building in a place that requires permits. Honestly, to me, that sounds like a royal pain in the rear! But, not everyone is going to be allowed to implement the solutions you're talking about. I guess I can see why. When you've got people in a city crowded all up together, someone's gross leaky sewer pipe quickly becomes the whole neighborhood's problem.
