Yes! I bag 3 proxies, one Eclipse, one Plasma and one Fission. I bag an old innova domey FD (absolute money) and an Innova star TL, a VIP iCE Orbit Bear and a Z swirl undertaker that is more like 9 5 0 2 but can get it to turn when thrown hard (it's also really good in the wind so i use it also when it's windy). I have 3 zones, from which i bag 1 z flx, then as a straight to little stable putter i have a hard exo Tactic, I have 2 buzzzes and 1 buzzz ss and an innova mako3. As overstable control drivers i use a discraft Raptor (straight and fade also great in high winds) and a Captain's raptor (really overstable but can also get some distance out of it). As main distance drivers i have an esp Scorch and Grand Orbit Grace. I do use an esp swirl nuke and golden horizon cloud breaker but i mainly throw my 11 speeds.
Ton of win in this, you show and use the highlighted discs. I thought I heard you say you've been playing for around a year - that is exponential evolution - very smooth throws ! I enjoy 3 disc rounds to unburden myself at times - Leopard, Wraith, and Mako3 (great putt disc as well as mid).
Another helpful video, Justice! I think your list is solid. I bag the Fierce as my understable putter - the disc is money for straight upshots and shorter par 3s. It's also the first and only disc I've aced with!
@@discgolfjustice neutral putter, slightly OS putter, overstable approach, two neutral mids, neutral fairway, understable fairway, overstable fairway, stable control driver, stable distance driver! it’s by no means EVERY shot shape out there, but flexible enough for just about any course in my area for my skill level

my beat in fuse gold ice, IS the understable woods disc I use. Its like a longer Aviar classic. A lot of throwing up hills in the woods = understable discs in the bag. For some serious fun, I toss a pearl, a diamond and a fission insanity. Stupid understable and risky, but magic when just right. My typical goto is a 150's nuetron crave for low flip up straight shots.
I was using a Get Freaky Zone until I found Goose's soft zone. I have since gone back and bought up more of that run. It's on Team Discraft's site and is still available. They are money. I want my Zones to land and stick. That's what Goose's soft zones do.
I have three Waves. Proton, Fission, and Eclipse 2.0. Fission bombs! Proton is nice and stable, and the eclipse... I haven't thrown yet. I just got it for my glow league bag. Guessing its going to be beefy. Love the Wave!
10:53 exactly, I heard a lot of old schoolers say there's way too many companies, way too many discs out now, just beat in a DX Destroyer and voila, there's your Grace. Beat in a Roc3 for a Mind Bender. Save money! 🤦♂ I know this video came out awhile back, but the new Vanguard came out from Discmania. Was seriously wanting those speeds but through Discmania plastic. Was throwing the new Lat64 Honor before. But all in all there's really nothing wrong with throwing for one company. It's like being a fan of Nike or Adidas. I don't know, some people don't care what they wear, but it matters to me.
I just started this hobby. I've been out 3 times now. I'm learning the mechanics, so my throws aren't long. My longest is pushing 200... Which overshot the basket a fair account, 😬 That was with a neutron crave. I still have a ways to go and a lot to learn and figure out, but man I'm loving the crave. I'm usually it and the diamond for "drives.". That's all I can handle right now... And they can be challenging to me. I'm having a blast and have made pretty strong improvement in just the 3 days since I started.
After I started bagging the Spin from MVP in premium plastic about a year ago I haven’t been able to take it out. It’s such a reliable under stable putter, I’d encourage anybody to try them especially in the 160-170g weights if they haven’t be able to find a putter that is under stable for them.
Okay. Inner Core, in the bag Putter, KC pro for me. Another putt and approach, nah. Buzzz. Discmania FD I think? I found it. Don't have an over stable 7 speed. Have plenty distance drivers.
I say the same thing about discs! I want my discs to fly like I expect/want right of the shelf. I'm only MVP I here it all the time. I want to beat my envy in so it'll turn more! I say get a proxy.
Funny how similar our disc choices are I throw the innercore, eclipse envy, esp zone, buzzz tursas for the straight shots, FD, raptor, grace, hades for distance drivers. Seems like some of those discs are maybe very useful for many players.
I know how to fix your putting for good. Do this one thing & you'll make more Putts more than you ever have. Hold the putter like you normally do while standing in your putter stance. Now hang it horizontal, let the pinky carry the weight with your fingers balanced underneath like you normally would,(don't over bend the picky to compensate let the pinky settle relaxed but firm. Now softly close your thumb grip to make the disc stable, Do not hold it tight or firm, hold the disc softly & Stable. Now bring the disc back to throwing position. You'll get a good feel to it then you'll know your doing it right. Throw your normal style putt with the new grip. You've got this Champ 😉👍🏼
This was a solid breakdown and demo of various disc types. I think I am the minority with this suggestion, but do you or anyone you know treat putters the same as the other slots? For example, I bag a rhyno as my main putter, warden as a neutral putter if I need it to go straighter longer, and deputy for those anny putts that I don't want to have any finish on. I like this kinda format, you killed it dude. Subscribing to see what you come up with next.
My Esp meteor is my understable putter slot. I do have a deputy and Luna but I have a really good touch 4hand so I prefer the glow Envy pyro and zone line up. I do bag a glow Reko too for Back hand but it doesn't turnover or glide
I almost bought my first felon yesterday it feels good in my hand looks like it would Skip bad. I do like my star firebird. I mainly use my machete though and Vulture on Back hand.
I have a problem with not being able to Throw Flat . Basisally, My Backhand always comes out with some Hyzer... So, I compensate with Understable drivers mostly. I Just received my new Lizoottle Hex a few days ago... Should I actually Throw it?? It was $49!!!
I had a very similar issue when I first started. No matter how hard I tried I always threw on a slight hyzer. What helped me was stating to over exaggerate throwing flat so it almost felt like I was leaning backwards but in reality I was flat. That’s where what some of the UA-cam coaches refer to as feel vs real
The thing about minimalizing molds is that you can't really plan it beforehand. When done right it kinda just happens. You suddenly find yourself on a spot where you notice your go to workhorse disc just doesn't do the thing anymore. But then you also go like "huh, it kinda flies like my more understable option that I don't quite like as much anyway.." and now you fill in the understable spot with the worn disc (but keep the other one as a spare in case you lose the beaten in disc or something) and just buy a new workhorse of the same mold because you really like it. Depending on the discs you might also start thinking if you could find more overstable version of the disc in different plastic or just a more domy/flat version that has the same effect. sooner or later the understable one starts to roll and you cycle in more and boom you have 3 or 4 of the same mold and feel satisfied that they are all that you need for that speed/range category. The wrong way is to instantly buy 2 to 3 of the same disc with the pretence of cycling them in and finding yourself just trowing the exact same discs for a while and potentially finding out that the mold/plastic in question just doesn't fly good when beaten in. The molds are of different shape and some just cycle in better with wear while others kinda just turn unusable🤷 Personally I'm really into cycling the discs but out of everything I bag/have tried I've only been blessed with a midrange (tournament/revived plastic Warship from westside discs) and slower fairway category (axiom discs crave) that I have like 3 of both and currently only need one other outright overstable mold of the speed category in addition. Recently got into wraiths and I really hope they'll be the ones from the distance category for me.
Ya I completely understand why some people like mo minimalism specially if you really like a particular disc. But if you loose one of your most beat I’m versions and the next in line isn’t beat in enough what do you do? That’s why I think it’s just better to buy the actual disc that flies the way you’re looking for
@@discgolfjustice Very true. I usually start by the "normal" way of having a disc of every ends of stabilities from the speed categories I like so personally I do have back up molds for the most understable beaten in unicorn discs. I do rely on the straight controllable ones the most tho.

Putters are typically less sensitive to nose angle, and make it easier to NOT overthrow tee shots of shorter variety. Most t-shots of 150' flat or 200' slight downhill, and I throw an aviar or wizard at it. I have a noodle arm, but if I huk a mid range too hard, it passes the basket. On the flip side, if i have to max power throw a putter, I'd be better off throwing a fuse or matrix or Mako3 or something. As I max out my power, my accuracy goes to sh*t, exponentially. A 3/4 power fuse tends to work better for me, than a 100% powered aviar or wizard. Same distance, but more consistency when not pushing my power limits. Fwiw, Im a 275' thrower on a good day, played since the 90's and am just getting worse this point. I play wooded courses, so elevation differences make a HUGE difference in disc selection. Understable for uphill, overstable for downhill. Wind direction also plays a big part.
I can't live without a neutral distance driver like the sword in VIP plastic. When aimed straight at the target with a slight flex it's the closest I can get to a 400' dead straight drive finishing right where I aimed it but I specialize in straight shooting, I'm bad at big hyzers. For all my slight flex shooting needs I only need 4 discs, jawbreaker banger GT, ethos pathfinder, champion teebird and VIP sword. For dead straight flicking, max weight cosmic neutron crave, champion thunderbird, max weight domey Grace. (at least for my arm speed, I'm max distance 400' backhand, 320' forehand)
It's so weird everyone says the inner core is understable. Mine don't turn at all up to 300'. I have 2 first runs and 4 factory seconds and they all fly exactly the same. Dead straight, predictable fade at basically sea level elevation. 3 aces and counting! Best disc ever.
I mean mine has hit a few trees haha but it’s definitely a bit flippy. I just got a second one in from the second run in case I ever lose the first one
