DiscGolf Justice
Приєднався 11 сер 2022
Hello DG community! My name is Justice Hahlbeck and I found the sport of disc golf in June of 2022 and completely fell in love! I am a videographer and photographer by trait, so instantly I knew I wanted to start creating videos to help grow the sport. I am from Nebraska in the U.S but I moved to Australia in 2018 and now that I'm in the sport, I noticed that it really isn't popular yet here in Australia and I would like to help change that! Subscribe to the channel for weekly disc golf content and hopefully I see you out on the course!

Welcome back Justice League! Just 10 minutes from where my parents live, there is a short little 9 hole course in Woodland Park and it really kicked my butt! I've always known that distance control on short shots was a big weakness for me specially when I have to throw with my backhand and this course really made me realise just how important that skill is! I know for sure what I need to work o...

Queensland Open Practice Round With Local Pro Nick Halstead! F9
the microphone receiver is only rated for temps above 32F and it shuts off automatically at lower temps. I had the same issue with my Rode GO II
That would explain a lot! I kinda figured it was because of the cold since it’s never happened before. And you’re right it was only the receiver that was turning off the actual mic was fine. I kept trying to put the receiver under my armpits and stuff to warm it back up 😂 probably fried it. I’ll have to sort out a different solution for when it’s freezing out maybe a shotgun mic for those days
Swarm is quite a bit more OS than a pyro, definitely closer to a justice.
Ahhh true. Well in that case I reckon no need to try it
Good collection of discs Also like you Mad cat
I actually learned from another comment that the mad cat is a 9 speed haha
Dope! I love the S-line FD, but I also throw 280ft so I may be biased haha. Maybe check out the Kastaplast Idog if you’re looking for another Teebird style mold to check out. That K1 plastic feels so good and it flies true to numbers.
Alot of folks recommending Kastaplast 🤔 thinkin it may be time to really dive into their plastics
Madd Cat is a 9 speed
Oh wow I didn’t realize 😂😂 well I use it like a 7/5/0/2 disc 😅
@ just goes to show flight numbers don’t matter 🤣
Facts!
The Zuca water bottle pouch is great for water bottle, range finder, and snacks.
Ya I definitely need to upgrade the water bottle holder. The stock one is garbage
Great video, a lot to work with on your land. I managed a NorCal weed farm that had a 10 hole course & we failed to expanded it, despite tons of potential, due to arguments over if the course should be tournament ready, or not give a crap that initially the holes play over each other and share baskets, if that makes for a better course hole by hole. I was on team "make the best course" since we never had more than 6 or so on the course at once. Finally, in grass like this if you don't want to maintain full fairways, mow a walking path from the tee to the basket, and then mow perpendicular stripes off the path, so you can see easily if you threw past strip 2 but short of strip 3 to find discs faster.
Great points! Specially the stripes in the grass to help know where the disc is. I thought of putting stakes with flags out in the field but this sounds like a much a better option. Preciate the advice!
Youll have more success sticking with molds that youre comfortable with instead of always looking for the next best thing. Youre very talented, i bet investing into online lessons from the pros would be money better spent.
Thank you! Ya I wouldn’t swim say at most I’ll probably change 3 maaaaybe 4 discs from my bag. But I’m so confident with all my discs because I’ve had them for a while so getting to know new discs is always a challenge
Along with the Passion some recommend to try: Innova Charger, Discraft Captain’s Thrasher, MVP Watt, Finish Line Forged Era, MVP Trail
I’ve heard great things about the captains thrasher and trail. Will definitely have to look into some of those!
Can’t wait to see your course come together. I’m building one right now too, in the mountains up above my house. Such a fun challenge designing and building!
Building a course in the mountains would be epic! I bet the views are incredible. It’s so fun being in the layout design phase 💯
Get rid of that Undertaker, and get you a Kastaplast Lots. 😅 I feel like they fly the same. But, that Kastaplast plastic is money 💰.
The undertaker has a lot of sentimental value to me because it was one of the first discs I ever ordered when I started playing. Not the one I currently bag but the mold it’s self. That being said I do hear Kastaplast has some great plastic so I’d definitely couldn’t hurt to give the lots a try!
Nice! Where you at in NE? if you haven't played Beal Slough in Lincoln yet, you need to go play it. Just make sure you have a retriever with you.
I’m in Stanton, NE it’s about 10 minutes from Norfolk if you’re familiar with the area. I’ve heard great things about Beal! It’s definitely on my list for sure!!
bro lemme live on the property with you and help you build this . ik how to run equiptment
😂😂😂 come on down I could use a hand hahaha
Hmm, I may be a St Louis Missouri boy, but I'm tempted to up and travel to Nebraska to play this course just based on Hole 1 and 2! (If it were to be open to public/appointments)
Plus, I'd hopefully get to pet the farm dogs if they'll let me! :)
Hey we don’t discriminate round here brotha! Missouri boys are welcome! The farm dogs are very friendly and would love a good pet 😅 I don’t think the course will be open to the public but definitely will be open to appointments! Would love to have subscribers come and challenge me on the home course that would be awesome 💯
Fuck, sorry to hear about your sister passing last christmas. That’s brutal and unfair. She was lucky to have you as her brother though. Sending love and welcome back to the states and posting content big dog.
I really appreciate that! Truly means a lot 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Living the dream man, that’s exciting
Im definitely grateful to be able to do this! Sometimes it still doesn’t feel real 😅
Nebraska huskers fan?
Big time! I grew up in Nebraska and now live here again after being away for 12 years
Wait so bro ain’t dead?
Haha naw I’m alive and well 😂
Hey man I like the content and would like to design a layout for your home course. Let me know what your thoughts are.
I’m all ears man. Always open to new ideas 💯
Welcome back homie! Good luck with the course build !
Thank you! Gonna be a very fun series I think!
Whenever you're ready to promote this, stop by Zen Llama in Lincoln. I can help get the word out there.
That would be awesome!! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Dig the video😎
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Wow! Would love to be in your shoes. Beautiful property. Have fun with the design!
I’m beyond grateful that’s for sure! Preciate the support!! 🙏🏽
Welcome home, both to NE and YT! 9 holes might be more suitable, if you are set on 18, it would be ideal for nine and 18 to end near hole one/the house/driveway. That way if you only have time for nine, or if it's too hot, you can choose either fromt or back and finish near house/driveway.
Thank you! Excellent point. I feel like I have room for 18 but I would probably be better of doing 9 holes and 18 tee-pads
@@discgolfjusticea course close to my home we did 10 holes 20 pads.
Ya I reckon that’s the move. Cheaper too 💯
@@discgolfjustice if you're feeling creative you could run your back nine tee pads to play the course in reverse (9-1).
Now that is a very solid idea! Never really considered that
GBR!
Bad boy pinstripe bowl champs baby!
great to see you slingin plastic again mate. keen to see what you do with the place 🤙
Preciate that brother! Feels great to be throwing again. Now if the weather would just hurry up and get to spring 😅
Some great ideas. You could build a triple mando
That would be pretty fun! Could build one out of wood or something
You're a legend Justice 🙏🏻
Right back at ya my friend! 🙌🏽
Subscribed just because of the opening drone shots
Preciate it! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Use tone poles to start with, and then move things around with 3+ pads to throw from. This will help you find the right flow and the flight paths you want. If possible, make two shots from the start that will encourage players to think of multiple ways to attack the hole. Best of luck, and I hope you have a lot of fun with it!
Great pointers! It will be a long and grueling process because I don’t want to make anything permanent until I know I’m completely satisfied with the layout
Start a home coffee shop/disc store, by the road that would be cool. lol
Haha I’m not sure how many people would stop. Although for being a gravel road, a lot of people drive down it
Living the dream man! Hell Yeah! 🤘🍀
I still gotta pinch myself from time to time 😅
Just stumbled across your channel and now invested. Living every disc golfers dream. Love the vid man!
I really appreciate that my friend! I’m beyond grateful to be able to do this!
excited to see the final product
Me to! I’m sure it’s going to be a big challenge, but I’m really excited!
🤯🤯
You and me both 😅 I still can’t believe it
maybe also get a helping hand/eye
That would be clutch 💯
You are living the dream brutha! Congrats! It's good to see you putting out videos again.
Thank you! 🙏🏽 genuinely feels good to be back making videos!
Good stuff, my buddies landlord has 115 acres that he said we can build a course on. Were hoping for a couple courses one big bomber course and a shorter more family friendly course.
Wow 115 acres would be awesome!!
Hole 1 could use a net behind the basket so you can still run aces and protect your garden.
That’s a pretty solid idea there 🤔 even if I didn’t make it a super tall net it could still do some protectin
Mad potential! My buddy has a course on his property. Some shared baskets. A couple fairways cross. He has doubles there. Four cards or less is totally cool.
That’s all I could really ask for! I don’t need a pdga tour level course just something that’s fun to play and challenges you. Preciate it! 🙌🏽
Looks like a great piece of land!
My wife and I’s little slice of heaven 😅 thank you!
It's a lot of fun to design & tweek a home course! We've used existing trees and light poles as targets along with a few practice baskets to make 18 holes on about 10 acres. Little features like baskets close to water, having to hit a tight gap off the tee, or forcing a forehand or backhand line are things that keep the course playable even after lots of rounds. It all also makes you look at shot shaping at existing courses differently. Also, if you didn't know, Udisc allows you to make a custom private course to keep track of your rounds & stas, which adds even more to the fun.
I’d love to even have all homemade baskets or something funky like that. Really excited to watch this progress throughout the years and how it evolves. I’ll definitely have to add it to UDisc! I appreciate the input brother!
Awesome property! I love the idea for hole 4 directly behind that tree line. Short, but still a little challenging.
Thank you! That’s actually one of my favorite holes as well specially when that check dam has water in it. Would be a pretty hole
Dude this is insane the fly overs with the drone is a great touch
I appreciate that! I wanted to try and provide the viewers with the most context of the scene as possible 😅
Don't know how I just found your content the other day. Quality work here. With 20 acres you'll probably want to buy 9 baskets and use them twice for 18. Hole 1 is great. Hole 2 id do down to the water check. 3 from water check area back over to tree line coming uphill. Then 4 could be to Hole 1s basket. 5 could utilize same pad as 2 but go over to the oak tree line. Hopefully not to confusing, id have to really dig in after that. Have fun and if you use temp baskets you can always move em!
Some excellent input man! Feel free to send me any ideas you have I’m all ears!
👀 YES!
Yall will definitely get the invite!
Sick!!!
Super excited to get started! Gonna be a fun journey 🙌🏽
that's y I use my old innova bag with innova straps cause I think I can carry 19 disc and it's better on my back then my old latitude bag
I’ve switch back to a cart now days. I just much prefer the ease of use
McFlicker ripped me 😂😂
They sell them at McDonald’s 😉😂
I was just wondering what happened to you. Glad you’re back!
Would’ve been sweet to have you here in Virginia, but welcome back to the states!
Preciate that! 🙏🏽 Virginia is definitely still on the cards. Would love to have a winter home somewhere a bit warmer. We were considering the Roanoke area
@ Roanoke is in the mountains, and the mountains get all the snow here. Just a heads up on that
