I had a new Busa and I never had it out of 4th gear wide open throttle after the motor was broken in. I let off the throttle at an indicated 155 mph on the speedo. Great motorcycle. The suspension, handling smoothness, and sound was just fantastic.

Both speedometers are based on digital signals. The original speedo signal is from the gearbox out shaft. If he used the original sproket ... Sorry he let us not know what is happende to the motor to go fast. Every early Busa have 340kmh Speedos and a lot of stock busa reach speedometer 340kmh. The driver shows no new thinks. The newer (2002 until 2007) busa have the same internal gears ans sproket. These Generation must go the ame speed at the same Rev. Smile smile and look for other european Busa videos at UA-cam. See these video and look for datasheets. These Busa never reach more than 301 kmh (GPS or Photoelectric barrier (Lightbar at race track)). At the race track the best drivers of a bike magazin reached 303 (or 304) kmh (only without mirrors) ! ===> offical timing instruments
@@callishandy8133 That’s why people use GPS speedos or some other kind of GPS device. EJR Performance Hayabusa has been lightened to a little over 400 pounds and it has a stock motor of 185 hp and it has no problem doing over 200 mph GPS speed.

No need to imagine this! Dynamic calculation gives the result that at this speed it doesn’t matter 100kg or 1000kg! The maximum speed will decrease by only 16 km/h!
Motor not stock... Its puling like crazy after 300kmph. I am a hayabusa owner .. I know.😉 6th gear 12000rev limiter . Valve retainers changed to harder ones . Head gasket changed for more compression . Headers had been ported , and very well .. So i don't say it's not a rocketship,but it's not a stock Hayabusa with a remap 😉✌️💪👑❣️
I have a stock hayabusa the only thing I did was add an exhaust and a tune and it can easily do over 300.. So idk what you're smoking. Either that or you just don't know what you are talking about. I doubt you even own a hayabusa.

Pretty fascinating video, but I'm skeptical. Down the page the owner talks of his bike: "2014 hayabusa, full two brothers exhaust, bmc air filter, stagexworks software, healtech quıck shifter (front sprocket 18t-rear sprocket 43 t stock gears) that's all" 344 kmh = 213.75 mph. The Sigma Moto speedometer he's using is a glorified cyclocomputer that literally uses a magnet and sensor arrangement attached to the front wheel. I would find such a device highly questionable, as at those higher speeds there's certainly some circumferential growth in the tire, which would lead to inaccurate readings. AFAIK the accepted method of doing speed runs is via GPS. Obviously, the owner isn't misrepresenting his bike nor is the Sigma Moto not indicating 344kmh. Just curious as to whether there'd be any deviation from gps speed and as mentioned, below, whether there was any tailwind.

Meaning the problem still stands: a wheel-magnet-sensor isn't accurate, unless it somehow has a tire growth correction factor (and somehow knows the growth for the particular tire). Whether it reads high or low isn't the question, the question is one of accuracy and comparison to anybody else doing top speed runs (hint: no one else relies on wheel sensors).

(for the SIGMA Mc 1812 moto = problem with the correct calibration value for the speed caluclation (tire expans , tire preassure, tire air temperaure, weight of the bike (drivers plus petrol) ist not constant, tire wear. Impossible to get good calibatrion values for the SIGMA . The Sigma software use no programmcode to compensate effects) But you know that the busa speedometer read the electronic sensor for speed ? These sensor is in the gearbox ! Not at the back wheel ! If you change the sproket tooth will it change the speedvalue ? NO !!!! Measurement is UPM at the gerbox out shaft. You have to use an optional electronic box with a correction software. The calibration way is better thane SIGMS. The calibration ist not perfect, but good. I dont know the name of the box. The Sigma speed ist not good but shure not very bad. If there is an other sproket ... .... the speedometer need an optinal correction box for the sppedvalues from gerbox sensor to optinal box. The box send the new signal to the Speedometer. BMC filter is sure best. But a lot of dirt can go ... Trac BMC-Version or Street Version ? StageXworks software is well and nice ... for top speed the quickshifter ... But for shifting nice to have and use. the US exhaust is to loud. If there is a better torque ? Or more horsepower ? Only a dno will give n answer. Intake, outtake of gas and injektion must be fine tuned. Look for information or maybe you reduce engine life time.

Had lots of fast bikes on my tail...911 turbo for 15 years... most of the time they stayed behind around the 270 to 280 km/h level...while I went to 300 km/h... I can not imagine this Busa just passing me at 344 km/h....
This is not posibble with a Gen 2 Hayabusa unless heavy mods are made to the motorcycle. The max I took my stock Gen 1 was 310km/h. It's a commonly known fact that the Gen 1 (year 1999 - 2000) is more powerfull then the Gen 2. Mine was made in sept 1999 and in the video it's a Gen 2 judging after the dashboard. BTW: roads in Turkiye are just made for motorcycle rides. I have over 9000km (5600mi) experience rideing in Turkiye and hope to return soon for another tour.
Not actually, gen. 2 is about 24 HP more powerful than the gen. 1 at the crank. As far as I know the only thing that makes gen. 2 slower is it's electronically restricted. I've never owned any of these but seen some Hayabusas going over 330 km/h by just flashing the ECU or doing the TRE thing, supposedly without modding anything else.
I have a de restricted Gen 2, and I can tell you 200 mph plus on GPS is easy , check out Bruce dunn hayabusa where a standard stock but de restricted hayabusa easily manages 203.5 mph and you can see its the gearing that stops it going even faster !!!
I love motorcycles and it is a beauty what they can do, but to do it you must find a controlled environment for that there are clues. doing this on a road with more vehicles is a crime. life should not be put at risk the others that way
I see it's in kph and think, but when you convert it to mph it drops to only ..... 214! That seems even more impressive / insane! I cruise on my bike at a little over the speed limit and realize he is going three times as fast.
I don't have a problem with the rider risking his life . But at that speed hitting a car with one or more people in it would mean certain death for all involved. This make him a careless A hole.
@@Einkie Hayabusas have a 10% speedo error. They top out at about 194mph, which is 312kmh. Multiply 312 by 1.1 and you get 343. Hayabusas don't go 207mph stock lmao.

You are all partly right, Hayabusa`s stock speedo has an error, which can be altered by gearing and Speedohealer, also yes, the speed limiter can be lifted. the external speed device is not GPS based, check the Sigma products, you can see the model number on the video, it just needs to be calibrated correctly which is not that easy when calibration is not the same for , lets say 100kmh and 300kmh due to tyre diameter changes. I would say it went 320-325kmh+

The sound is very different from stock engine. The stock engine screams very nicely at red line but its was sounding different.
I thought the same thing. Might have been a wind noise , buffetting round the fairing ? I occasionally get a similar thing on my bike , not at those speeds though !!

Pretty fascinating video, but I'm skeptical. Down the page the owner talks of his bike: "2014 hayabusa, full two brothers exhaust, bmc air filter, stagexworks software, healtech quıck shifter (front sprocket 18t-rear sprocket 43 t stock gears) that's all" 344 kmh = 213.75 mph.
The Sigma Moto speedometer he's using is a glorified cyclocomputer that literally uses a magnet and sensor arrangement attached to the front wheel. I would find such a device highly questionable, as at those higher speeds there's certainly some circumferential growth in the tire, which would lead to inaccurate readings. AFAIK the accepted method of doing speed runs is via GPS.
Obviously, the owner isn't misrepresenting his bike nor is the Sigma Moto not indicating 344kmh. Just curious as to whether there'd be any deviation from gps speed and as mentioned, below, whether there was any tailwind.

Meaning the problem still stands: a wheel-magnet-sensor isn't accurate, unless it somehow has a tire growth correction factor (and somehow knows the growth for the particular tire). Whether it reads high or low isn't the question, the question is one of accuracy and comparison to anybody else doing top speed runs (hint: no one else relies on wheel sensors).
Not bad your text ! (for the SIGMA Mc 1812 moto = problem with the correct calibration value for the speed caluclation (tire expans , tire preassure, tire air temperaure, weight of the bike (drivers plus petrol) ist not constant, tire wear.
Impossible to get good calibatrion values for the SIGMA . The Sigma software use no programmcode to compensate effects)

Had lots of fast bikes on my tail...911 turbo for 15 years... most of the time they stayed behind around the 270 to 280 km/h level...while I went to 300 km/h...

This is not posibble with a Gen 2 Hayabusa unless heavy mods are made to the motorcycle.
The max I took my stock Gen 1 was 310km/h. It's a commonly known fact that the Gen 1 (year 1999 - 2000) is more powerfull then the Gen 2. Mine was made in sept 1999 and in the video it's a Gen 2 judging after the dashboard.
BTW: roads in Turkiye are just made for motorcycle rides. I have over 9000km (5600mi) experience rideing in Turkiye and hope to return soon for another tour.
Not actually, gen. 2 is about 24 HP more powerful than the gen. 1 at the crank. As far as I know the only thing that makes gen. 2 slower is it's electronically restricted. I've never owned any of these but seen some Hayabusas going over 330 km/h by just flashing the ECU or doing the TRE thing, supposedly without modding anything else.
I have a de restricted Gen 2, and I can tell you 200 mph plus on GPS is easy , check out Bruce dunn hayabusa where a standard stock but de restricted hayabusa easily manages 203.5 mph and you can see its the gearing that stops it going even faster !!!

I love motorcycles and it is a beauty what they can do, but to do it you must find a controlled environment for that there are clues. doing this on a road with more vehicles is a crime. life should not be put at risk

@@Einkie Hayabusas have a 10% speedo error. They top out at about 194mph, which is 312kmh. Multiply 312 by 1.1 and you get 343. Hayabusas don't go 207mph stock lmao.

You are all partly right, Hayabusa`s stock speedo has an error, which can be altered by gearing and Speedohealer, also yes, the speed limiter can be lifted. the external speed device is not GPS based, check the Sigma products, you can see the model number on the video, it just needs to be calibrated correctly which is not that easy when calibration is not the same for , lets say 100kmh and 300kmh due to tyre diameter changes.
I would say it went 320-325kmh+
