    Hello im from the Philippines, i have them both hands down i vote for deye for its features and performance can easily run all my loads, for LuxPower its also a performer and good online monitoring but im having issues with the built quality battery terminal is getting very hot

      Thank you for adding your experience to mine. You have both and while they each have their strengths you prefer the Deye for it performance. Thanks for watching

      On what type of batteries are you experiencing heat, lithium or AGM or which battery brand and what cable battery size or lugs are you using?

      At what battery voltage are they getting hot? Do they get hot a full charge, or when depleted, you could try using larger wire, to help pull heat from the connection!

      I'm to from ph. I prefer Deye because it has better features and stronger power backup. compared to lux power. Deye problem he does not have official apps monitoring and control. I hope to have it too

    Nice to see this real life comparison 👍 For those running the Lux: A firmware update for existing inverters will be available soon to enable 4000W charge/discharge/eps power, we are just testing this update.

      Thank you for letting me know. It is a very good inverter if it meets your needs.

    Thank you kindly for the video. It would be good if you could get a decibel meter or if I ever get one will post the “real-world” noise levels of the fans on the Deye.
    >>Which did you find easier to install (cabling, accessories)
    >>Worst case scenario, if the Inverter should fail, can I have a bypass where Grid can still power the house? (Generic question)
    >>Deye/LuxPower using Pylontech vs using BYD battery
    >>Anti island protection (benefits & how inverter runs critical loads)
    * Please share links to the documents you used, thank you.

      Since the fan is not always on getting a decibel meter when I have the camera with me would be tough. Ease of installation comparable. The AC connection for the LuxPower is a bit more challenging. (higher quality). Bypass with a changeover. I have not used the BYD battery on either so I have no opinions. AntiIsanding? What do you want to know specifically. Critical loads I am sure I have covered this subject. All my loads are critical. I am off the grid

    • @tirivaenim
      @tirivaenim 4 роки тому

      AWPS Renewable Energy, LTD All my loads are also critical, but when one has a Grid-tied inverter, depending on installation all loads go through the inverter. If inverter dies would want by-pass or manually to still power all loads if grid is available. In terms of anti-islanding a CT clamp should work to stop feeding into the grid anyway over and above telling the inverter to “zero export” to grid.

    it would be very interesting if you could tell what is the consumption of the deye inverter when operating only from the battery without load, and what is the efficiency under load
    with real measurements

    • @drsolar
      @drsolar  Рік тому

      I have no idea. But if you are really keen on the answer you can find it in the manual

      @@drsolar i'm really interested in it, but unfortunately manual and real measurements are different. I am sure that in the manual the indicators are exaggerated, relative to real measurements

    Thanks for the detailed comparison Dr Solar. I'll pick the Deye over the Lux any day. 5KW vs 3.6KW discharge on battery power only is enough deal breaker for me. You did not discuss their prices but I'll bet that seeing how popular the Deye is, it must be cheaper than the Lux power too. You once talked about the Deye being capable of accepting micro inverter input and I think that's enough compensation for the lower mppt inputs of 6500W. That fan is definitely due the 120A charge capacity as more heat will be generated. I guess anyone using the Deye like they'll use the Lux(@ 60ish amps) won't here much from that fan. Deye appear to be OEM to solar depot Nigeria too where it's branded as thundervolt. I saw their video yesterday.

      The Deye makes a very strong case. The company is much larger than the manufacturer of the LuxPower. Solar Depot purchased from another company that sells and brands them. It is a phenomenal product.

    I think personally we might be underestimating how good the LuxPower is, they are extremely popular in the UK and across Europe for their reliability and massive PV input. Deye does look promising but not sure if they are quite on par with the Luxpower in terms of reliability and Lithium integration.

      Good morning. It is a matter of personal choice. There were features and settings that I needed that the LuxPower did not have. Sol-Ark and Sunsynk sell the Deye inverters and people who use them talk up the reliability and features of the inverters. They are UL rated and you can connect a wind turbine or micro inverter to them. My battery supplier was impressed with the LuxPower

  • @hybridsolarwale
    @hybridsolarwale Рік тому +1

    deye the self use of inverter is very high . if you run inverter without loads and without grid , battery consumpition will be 1.2 kwh in 12 hours where luxpower consumption is 240 w in 12 hours.

    What can you say regarding their solar yields? Which is better? I feel my luxpower is not maximizing my pv. Excess energy is not maximized. I can only see it maximized when enabling priority charging, which should not be necessary if there is excess power.

    Hi AWPS Renewable Energy, can I integrate this Deye (connect in parallel) to my existing 5kw Zeversolar on-grid inverter set-up? Thanks. from Camarines Sur, Philippines

    Greetings. Please may you explain something to me about the 5Kva Luxpower or Deye inverter: from its description are you implying that I can have for example multiple Pv strings coming into a Combiner box and as long as the Max VoC is not exceeded from the combiner box I can then have a line into the inverter without the need for an external MPPT Charge Controller?

    • @drsolar
      @drsolar  4 роки тому +1

      Current and voltage are not exceeded you are good. They both support strings up to 500 V. I suggest 450 maximum. They both have 2 MPPT controllers. And the Deye has a PV disconnect

      @@drsolar A certain 'blue' inverter requires mppt, colour controller, seems the Deye can technically run PV directly into it without the need for a:
      1. Charge controller;
      2. PV Breaker box;
      3. PV turn off --- not sure about this part;

    • @drsolar
      @drsolar  4 роки тому +1

      @@tirivaenim Yes to 1, 2 and 3. The inverter has a dc disconnect for the PV. I always put a separate disconnect when I do installations. It has too charge controllers built in. 130 amps total. To match it you will spend a fortune with the blue people
