On fuel..... my CB500x gets ridiculously good mileage so it's rarely a concern for me, but I plan on doing the Trans Taiga in a couple years. To do the whole thing and the south route it's about 840 +/- kms without a fuel source. My plan is to get a Giant Loop gas bag as it rolls small when empty and is easy to strap onto your seat or luggage when full.
That sounds like an amazing adventure. I find I get really good mileage from the KLR too. Which is why I opted for water. I will be getting an MSR bottle though, because at some point I want to take the bike to Newfoundland and go coast-to-coast out there. That gas bag is a great idea.
@@IslandADV I currently have two Primus bottles that I mount to my crash bars using fire extinguisher mounts. They can get me 50-80kms past my bike’s 400-500km range. More than enough for now but I’ll need extra for the Trans Taiga. The Giant Loop bags are pricey but I have two years to save up! Haha
I'm so glad you're liking the videos! Yes, the pegs are wild. It's such a big impact already with such a small change. The weather is looking good for a ride. So maybe a bit of a test tomorrow? Here's hoping.
Fox is looking mint! That Tusk rack system looks so versatile, super cool that you can swap attachments so quickly. Those foot pegs seem wicked, should be great with riding boots. Let us know how you like them. Cheers and keep well brother!
He's looking ready to go for sure. I actually had the bike out for a rip up to the beach Saturday and I was floored at how much of a difference the foot pegs make. I feel way more stable standing now.
Goodmoring thank you for cool video like the pelican bag top open may have to rethink the apache side open I have sw mototech pegs loaded with rubber insert thanks again cheers
I saw those Motech pegs, they look like the best of both worlds eh. A rider on the Island here gave me the heads up on this case. It was a great find for like 60 dollars CAD. Apache probably makes something similar I bet.
Yeah I don’t blame you. I first just carried some water bottles and now I’m slowly moving up on caring a hydration bladder and water bottles with me on my ADV rides

Thanks. I'm going to run down this Shinko 805/804 set first, but by mid June I'll throw on a set of TKC 80s. I want to see what all the fuss is about with them, lol.
I just got these through amazon actually. They feel amazing. I can't wait to get them out on the trails. Here's the link: www.amazon.ca/dp/B002OPCGVK/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_Z01RE3KNZZ52VBPVFPBA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
What suspension are you getting? I was looking at getting the cogent Moab pro shock and front fork upgrades but there isn’t a very detailed video on Them and how to adjust them along with how they perform dual sport wise in more technical stuff.
I'd love to get a full Cogent upgrade, but alas, I don't think I have the dollars to go full in on that. As of right now I'm still shopping around for progressive springs and rear shock and spring options. Mason's ADV has a good cogent system though, and I believe he has some in depth info on it. That might give you some inspiration at least.
I was shocked at the difference just standing on them in the garage. You're probably right too, I'll likely leave them on. I like the vibration dampening of the rubber ones, but that's an easy trade for stability off-road.
I dig it. 🤘🏼
It looks pretty rad eh. I can't wait to get it out on the trails this summer.

Great bike! I am glad I choose it as my first and only bike! 🏍️🇨🇷

Sweet! A while back I got the cheap cast aluminum online, and was pleasantly surprised. Those look way superior, might have to look into them. Thanks!

Love the utilitarian look that you have achieved now 😊
Thanks. I've wanted to do this for a while now. Something lean enough to bounce through trails, but also has rugged luggage for the gear.
Hey I like what you did with the water. It’s a good idea and cool how you made it work
Thanks. Everytime I go out for a longer trail ride I'm always saying how I'd want a water jug like this. Glad to finally have it setup.

Curious....What are you running for tires?
My go-to tires are shinkos.
I run an 804 on the front and an 805 on the back. I love them!
