  • Our plan on this day was to visit Crater Lake but once again, traffic was snarled on the road up. This time we wasted no time in turning around and changing plans, so Train Mountain it was. I had visited it with my buddy in 2022, and had a blast, so we decided to check it out. As Jennifer said "I've seen lakes. This was much cooler". So join us for a ride at Train Mountain, and through some of Oregon's beautiful forests.

Thanks for the wonderful video. For those who of us who are ill, home-bound, and avid rail enthusiasts, your videos lift our spirits as we're heading down our last stretch of track.

That engine looks like an FM Trainmaster. Used to run on the SP pulling commutes.

I was there last August and had the same train operator! What a place. If you like trains, you need to go. Miles and miles of operating track. Glad you went back to take Jennifer. Cheers

Ah good ole K-Falls. Back in the my rail riding days I traveled through K-Falls. I got some pictures of the S.P. yard there and I also managed to get a photo of a very large blue Great Northern boxcar. Another time while riding though I was extremely lucky to get an Oregon, California, and Eastern train coming into the S.P. yard. Its a cold son of a gun there in winter.

TRAIN MOUNTAIN is on my bucket list. 3 of my model train club members go up there and run their trains. And I know one of TM's members that lives nearby, he keeps inviting me to come up. He has his own Steam Engine he built.

Great to see you made it back to Klamath County. I live in Klamath Falls, almost around the corner from the motel where you stayed. Visiting Crater Lake National Park is difficult. The north entrance and rim drive are usually open July through September, totality depending on snow. I used to live in Victorville and traveled so many times over Tehachapi Pass. Watching your videos is very enjoyable. Thanks for doing all the work making them and sharing. Safe travels.

Excellent video thank you for sharing. I especially liked the long tunnel. I don’t think anybody’s ever videotaped that part before least I just don’t recall it.

Near Mound House, New Mexico. I just happened to catch it at the right time while on my way to Denver in 2022
