Your comment about the violinist is interesting: there are quite a few instances on the videos of her live performances where you see accompanying musicians - who as you say must have heard her and rehearsed with her - who cannot restrain showing shock and delight at her amazing voice... For example, he live perforamance of "It's a Man's World" with the Norwegian military band when she was 12... both the clarinetist and the conductor react very visibly to her voice... and in her concert in Norway in 2022 the musicians who have played with her since she was little react similarly to her belt when singing her song Millions Miles... two of them look at each other and smile... :)

They just did another performance this morning in London at the Ivors Awards in London! Angelina and Toby were the first one’s up! At their performances at LONDON PALADIUM. TOBY said it was an honour to perform with her. Not every venue allows you to be shoeless. Especially if they serve food. That stage looks non too pristine either. Angelina normally has a carpet she stands on. How does she keeps getting better?

Big Papa, Nice reaction and commentary as always. One suggestion I have for future reactions is that if your featured artist is doing a cover that you don't know, it is always helpful to listen to the original by the original artist prior to your reaction. It makes for a greater understanding of what your featured artist is doing what the song and how they have changed it and or respected the original. In this case the original is done byBeyoncé. It was a massive hit with over 600 million views! Yet I prefer Angelina's version due to the style and jazziness that makes it her own. I don't think Angelina did a cover. She owned it. Peace out.
I don't do that because my reaction would be more about the differences between the two. Also it would lessen my reaction to the lyrics and overall meaning of the song.
Papa, I appreciate your response and understand your reasons. But I do think that viewers for the most part have a different opinion. I was not advocating listening to the original so that you can compare and say one is better than the other. It is that knowing the original at least superficially, allows you to determine if the artist has changed the song in some ways or followed the original directly, or added a different spin whether it's a slower, faster, more jazzy, etc sometimes the original and the cover are like the same song and sometimes they are like different songs. I really think there is value in that in terms of creating more parameters to comment on. I don't think it takes away from what you do.
As an example, I have a request I would make related to the Carpenters. Are you familiar with them or their music? If so, it is a remake that is incredible but it would mean nothing if you didn't know the original. If you don't know them but would be willing to listen to the original song first, then I would make that request because the impact will be far greater doing it that way for this particular one. Please let me know and peace out.
I get your points but I just feels like cheating. I'm not doing a song review I'm doing a first time reaction. I do a lot of covers where I am familiar with the original and that is ok. When I do a cover I am not familiar with it's almost like reacting to an original song. I just find it more authentic. I may change my mind in the future, but I am weary of taking any step toward the normal reaction process here on UA-cam. Where people watch the videos, take notes, write a script etc. Also reactors who clearly know the song they are about to react to. I have seen some do multiple "first time reactions to the same video on different channels. It means that much to me that, I even released videos with bad glitches that I could have easily redid and no one would have known a thing. I'm not rigid and may reconsider in the future

It is not a Beyoncé cover, she did not write or compose the song, Angelina Jordan performed the song with Toby Gad, the writer and composer of the song that now belongs to Angelina Jordan, she is simply a better vocalist, Mexico
The original is by co writer bc jean . Angelina has originals that she didn't write .
