omg oomg PRINCE PRINCE i cried with your reaction bro
People better put some respect on Prince's name. RIP George, Tom, Prince.
He did not rehearse this or anything with the band beforehand. He did not choreograph what he was going to play and how. He did not practice this performance. Just came out, stayed to the side until it was his time, steeped up and shredded till the angels wept from the sheer beauty of it, threw his guitar in the air, and walked off the stage. Let that sink in. And that is one reason why people revere Prince as one of the greatest musicians in the history of recorded music and certainly in our lifetimes. He played 27 instruments. Masterfully. He was the Mozart of our age. We shall not live to see his like again.
Jeff Lynne as well
@@JoseAntonio-dt9fq uhm, nope, he hogged all the reversal time which is why Prince practiced live in front of the audience 😂
Prince always has his setup ready to go.. saw him jamming multiple times since the 80s. Often no vocals, just jammin' *Outstanding*
He turned out to be a hypocritical anti drug pill Popper - a self involved narcissistic brat...
I was following him since he was Minneapolis Genius, Purple Rain hit and what he did for fans was not this.
he sounds great cuz he's doing Harrison's song.. but he didn't write anything like this himself.
He sorta lost his original followers when he started as "Minneapolis Genius"
He just jammed, no vocals.
@@TheFoolintherainn and what pills are you on exactly? Sure, he took painkillers, not in the least for his replacement hips after he gave the world the best ever moves with his own for many decades. And he died a Fentanyl overdose, the substance in those painkillers that is documented to be very dangerous even in small doses. But to call him hypocritical and a "self involved narcissistic brat"? That's just uncalled for, offensive. And if you believe he needed a George Harrison song to sound great, I truly wonder who the hell you saw jamming all those times since the 80s. Also he never referred to himself as the Minneapolis Genius.
@@johanpeeters3671 I have an album that says "Minneapolis genius" on it - shortberry strawcake.. look it up before you make a fool of yourself
I knew of Prince before purple rain...we had his posters professionally mounted and plastered all over our college dorms and apartments.. and those were all posters from his albums before purple rain.
I got exclusive tickets to private 4:00 a.m. concerts where Prince would jam..
Rent it out hotel suites to invite my friends when he showed up for concerts and we took limos... All wearing crushed purple velvet!
So, I lived those years. I'm entitled to my opinion... Based on what I saw at the time. What he said, and what he did that's not controversial. They're facts
The rumors of him leaving women tied up with duct tape in his basement may or may not be true - I'm not going there.
But overall very disappointed in his hypocrisy.
Plenty of rehabs and help out there - if somebody wants to do pills, I feel for them.
But what you don't know, is addicts will always have some sort of ache or pain so they can get those pills.. I've got a sister who will break into your house & medicine cabinet to get your opiates.
And if you want to blame that on the drug - fine... But it means Prince was not excluded from the lows of being an addict.
- you don't come out and lecture the rest of us...
listen to his early lyrics.
Even sign of the times - what do you think the term "horse" means
And after you're on this Earth for decades accommodating every alcoholic and addict.. then maybe you'll start to get it.
It's the only disease that's cured when you stop taking the substances!
And the last ones I want lecturing anybody on anything.
Prince was an outstanding musician. But his interviews with tavis smiley and others are just plain weird. He's a musician, not a philosopher
I had a son very similar who could play every instrument and over dub all his work
So yeah - it was a waste of a life... By a hypocrite in the end
And now look at all the people cashing in on him - I'm not even sure if he was murdered...
Sony corporation did that to Michael Jackson and now he's worth 27 times more dead than alive.
What makes you think the same thing didn't happen to Prince?
Because the more he interviewed, the worse it got.. it would have been logical for them to do the same thing to Prince as Michael jackson. And it wouldn't surprise me if they did
But no - I'm not going to be lectured by an addict through his music..
It blows my mind how much importance and credibility people give to actors and musicians.
I was shocked when I saw Prince's guitar work in this George Harrison tribute!😲 Never realized what a kick ass guitar player he was!😁 He's in my top 15 now!💯😂 RIP to the legendary Prince.😢✌️❤️
It's a shame it took him being sarcastic 2 show ppl that
Well ... as he should, although he wasn't even mentioned in the Rolling Stone Top 100 Guitarists Off All Time back in 2004. This was a huge "up your A$$" to RS, for neglecting him again.
He's number 1 in my book
Yes I was minding my own business. Walking along grounded by gravity. Prince began to play, and he knew what he was doing. He elevated me to another level, and I began to float. an outer body experience!
WTF DO YOU SAY BOUT THAT? Am utterly speechless. Everything bout that video is just fkn magical. Seen this shit loads and still get chills. Miss you Prince. ❤❤
"Prince went crazy"
Well he did write "Let's Go Crazy".
He meant it. He was a man of action.
And THAT ........ is HOW ITS DONE!!!😍🥰🤯👍
Prince put the ELECTRIC in the ELECTRICITY!!!!!!!!!!! He Tore that S##T UP with some damn Electrifying FREAKING ENERGY!!!!!! GODAMN!!!!!!
PRINCE KILLED IT!!!
He rocked that shit!🔥❤️😡😍🥰😘👌🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🎉🎊
Prince made the guitar groan ......screammmm ..not weep..lmao😂😂😂😂
Still in the music game NOMINATED for a grammy 2021 1999 remasyered
I read that Prince had clear instructions: Do what you want!!
because he didn't appear for the rehearsal. it's close to improvisation, if you look at the first half chords. then he possesed the song. and them all had fun. (i will try to put a smile on your face, he only told danie harrison: he was the definitive son of a bitch)
@@francescobattisti9926 He did attend the rehearsal. Unfortunately, the original soloist hogged most of the time. When it was over, the informed him to do a solo at the end. He complied and then performed like no other.
George Harrisons son looks just like him.Jeff Lynnes voice tickles my soul.
the funny thing, the performance of prince can only be described with body language
Jeff Lynne is a legend...check his stuff out.... ELO is his band....he also produced countless hits...Free Falling, the whole FULL MOON FEVER album(Petty)
He didn't just produce a lot of those Tom Petty hits - he co-wrote them! :)
I still don't know where the guitar landed after he threw it...Thanks for reacting!
😂 i know right. That thing probably hit someone....No problem bro
I STILL want to know where that guitar went! :P
Kirk his bodyguard caught it and give it 2 him backstage it's at Paisley Park on display as we speak I've seen it there Mad Cat was his favorite guitar
It ascended straight to heaven
Do you really want to know or do you want to keep the magic and mystery alive? I talked to the guy who caught it.
Man your reaction is a highlight in itself - lol.

Billy Preston on piano deserves mention!
Winwood on Hammond! I play the piano. Could not master the Hammond!
Then Prince takes over!!!
George Harrison ( The Beatles, White Album), induction to Hall of fame!
Beatles best song!
Listen to George's " My sweet Lord"!!
just found out that it's not Billy Preston, it's Jeff Young from Jackson Browne's band
THE GUY YOU SAW SMILING IN THE BACK GROUND IS THE BEATLES GEORGE HARRISON SON Dhani Harrison....TOM PETTY IS THE ONE SINGING THE LEAD ON THE SONG ...STEVE WINWOOD IS THE ONE PLAYING THE B3 ORGAN IN THE BACK GROUND AND JEFF LYNNE IS THE ONE DOING THE FIRST GUITAR SOLO AND SONG A LEAD ON THE SONG TOO.....AND THEN YOU HAVE THE MAN....THE GREATEST MUSICIAN OF ALL TIMES .......PRINCE !. PERIOD.
Prince embarrises everyone on that stage!
Prince covering jimmi hendrix RED HOUSE ..PURPLE HOUSE. OR WHOLE LOTTA LIVE
You totally left out Rolling Stone Magazine leaving Prince off the top100 guitarist and Tom Petty telling Prince before the performance to rock out at the end of the song. NOTE::: you'll see Prince several times look over to Petty and his erge Prince to keep going
you gotta react to prince doing play that funky music white boy, it is another of his super ones
The young man on Tom’s left is George Harrison’s son Dhani.
Not reading. "Prince was off to the side a little bit." A LITTLE BIT? He was out of frame after 10 seconds into the video until his solo! A little bit is a little bit of an understatement. 😁👏👍✌🙏❤
Gotta see the remastered the original video guy did this year where they gave Prince his respect! Also shows what happened to the guitar! 😉
Joe Bonamassa, one of the best guitarist/musicians in a long, long time. He and Beth Hart “I’ll take care of you”. Insane
The only part of this song I like is Prince guitar solo but this is nowhere close 2 him as his best this is him being petty on stage because of Rolling Stone and George's wife not wanting him 2 play.
U wanna hear Prince shred Joy In Repetition 2002, Purple House New Years Eve 1999, Habibi, Dreamer, Bambi, I'm Yours, Lil Red Corvette Monterex Music Festival 2009, Creep Coachella 2008, Shhhhh Japan 2002, Question Of U 2004 Detroit, Purple Rain 85 Syracuse or 2010 Milan The whole Under Taker video from 1994
My favorite Shhh is Coachella! Holy heck it was grand.
I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know why nobody told you
How to unfold your love
I don't know how someone controlled you
They bought and sold you
I look at the world and I notice it's turning
While my guitar gently weeps
With every mistake we must surely be learning
Still my guitar gently weeps
I don't know how you were diverted
You were perverted too
I don't know how you were inverted
No one alerted you
I look at you all, see the love there that's sleeping
While my guitar gently weeps
Look at you all
Still my guitar gently weeps
This is a tribute to GEORGE HARRISON from the Beatles....he and Tom, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan had their own band THE TRAVELING WILBURYS...epic shit
