Listen all you Roy Orbison Tribute artistes, he sings effortlessly and does not over cook the songs. His voice was just magical. I saw him in Paignton devon in 1973 and he was amazing, thats why he was an International super star!!!!
WITHOUT A DOUBT..THE GREATEST SINGER THAT ROCK N ROLL HAS EVER PRODUCED. I MISS ROY AND THE TUNES HE SUNG WERE FROM THE HEART. HE HAD A LOT OF HEART. YOU'RE THE BEST ROY!
I saw roy in Paignton Devon in 1974, when he started singing it sent a shiver down my spine,he was fantastic live and was a true great.god bless you Roy
Agreed, I've listened to so many Running Scared endings, in the studio or live and this ending is very good. He just sings so smoothly and effortlessly slips into that last high note! He is amazing.
I heard 11 versions of Running Scared, studio, live and bootleg - and this one is the best, he topped himself! Someone bring him back to show those singers today who sound like coyotes which get branded what singing and composing means!

What a voice!! Goosebumps every time!
Roy always looks so happy when he sings Oh Pretty Woman, and he sings it so well - as he does all his songs.

The finest finish of "Running Scared" I´ve ever listened to, and I own it at least 12 times, sources from concerts etc. - WHAT a gem!!

This performance was late 1985. He had appeared at the Royal Albert Hall in May of that year. True brilliance.

It doesnt get better than this
He must be. Elvis was a great singer, but Roy had something like a 4 octave range. A truly exceptional singer in the context of his genre.
