The Club C Vintage is unbeatable. The leather needs no break in and is fantastic on comfort. The foam midsole means every step is comfy, no God awful stiff rubber to punish long wear. Lastly they go with everything. I've had smiths, dunks, and the 550 but always go back to reebok.
I now have c85 and stan smith, and this lie, c85 stiff, but stan smith more stiff. Classic shoes not for confort - is beautifull and practise, but not comfortable. Try ozweego - this shoos comfortable.
The reebok club c is just a great shoe overall and personally i think it looks great. Its very high quality and durable and also comfy so my favourite sneaker is the reebok club c 85 vintage revenge. My opinion.
Great video! The older versions of Stan Smith with real leather were really awesome always! But now this synthetic upper is just not good enough! I switched first to Reebok leather classics which are amazing and just before ordered the Reebok Club C Revenge which seem awesome sneakers! Reebok has gained me over the last couple of years. The best brand for the money!
While I love both, Reebok Club C are better quality and more comfortable IMO. The Stan Smith has been around longer (1965) though it was initially named the Adidas Robert Haillet (renamed Stan Smith in 1971 when Haillet retired from tennis). The Reebok Club Champion (what the C stands for) debuted in 1985, also as a tennis shoe. If you're looking for a Reebok that more closely resembles the Stan Smith, try the NPC (Newport Classic). If you want an Adidas that resembles the Club C, try the Continental 80.
The leather on the Club C 85 is much MUCH better than the one on the Stans. In fact, the Club Cs have the best leather for white sneakers in their price range. The Stan Smith (non-Primegreen) leather feels the same as Primegreen. I'd rather Continental 80s if I wanted Adidas. Also, weird. The Club Cs fit my wide feet very well. Good video!
Agree 💯 I’m surprised how good the Club C leather is . I had the Continental 80s also; great looking shoe, but definitely also not as comfortable as the Reeboks. Thanks for stopping by bro! 🙏
@@kickitwithdangI would definitely say the Club C shoe model you have to know exactly what version you want. I always seek out the Club C 85 Vintage since it not only has superb leather but also Eva cushioning on the midsole
I used to swear by Stan Smiths, but the latest pair I had were the new plastic vinyl instead of leather, so they cracked around the sole after 3 weeks of moderate wear. My Club C 85s are so much better though, wider, more comfortable and more affordable
As a guy with wide feet, Stan smiths are actually pretty narrow and a lot more restricting despite having a larget outsole footprint. While the club C *vintage* conforms to whatever foot width you have as they are using really soft leather. Probably the most comfortable casual sneaker I own.
Just the fact that the club c’s are made of real leather and retail $10 less makes them a better buy. I have the Stan smiths and I never wear them because they look and feel like plastic.
I'm planning to buy a regular (not vintage) club c 85. I normally wear US 9.5 is it ideal to go tts or go a half size up? I heard they break in so should I go tts but at the same time I somewhat have a wide, flat feet so don't know if it's a good idea to size up. I'm super lost. I went to the reebok store today at union st (nbc) to try them but unfortunately they are closed as was told that it's hard for them to tell when they're reopening. any suggestion please since I'm buying online and found a nice deal for around $55 for the brand new club c.
Hi there. Are these the club c vintage which is off white or cream color? I am kinda hesitant to buy these as I am afraid that they are too much in cream but on your video, it seems close to the white color of the stan smith. Thanks a lot.
Its official color is called chalk. The chalk is only avaiallable in club c 865 vintage. I personally like the chalk coz its not too white. It goes better with any clothes
I had the Princess Reebok in the 70s and 80s and then I quit wearing tennis shoes. I remember how comfortable they were with soft leather. I just bought the Reebok C 85 and it was the wrong size. I usually wear a size 8 and that is what I bought but it was too long so I bought the same shoe all white in a half size smaller. I hope it fits. I should get them next week. I can't wait.
I bought a pair of Reebok Club C 85 vintage but they are a bit tight for my right foot toe area. Does it break in? How does the shoe age with time? How does it stretch near the toes?
as a stan smith owner of 5 pairs i have to defend it with the the older genuine leather models are nice for a budget shoe, i’ve worn my beater pair to many party’s and they are still holding up well, just to throw in for mention. the premium models with higher quality leather are worth it and i say is what makes it a better option models like stan smith h or swavorski crystal only go up to 130$ i recommend checking them out
I was really eyeing the Swarovski pair when they first came out, a very interesting twist to a classic . Gonna keep an eye out for them again haha, Thanks for your input !
@@kickitwithdangthanks for clarifying this actually. An important point that I think some people miss, Adidas UK sizing is different from Nike and Reebok. Always add 0.5 to the Adidas shoes for the equivalent size, so 6.5 UK for Nike should be similar to a 7 UK for Adidas, the US sizing stays the same.
Hi Mate! Can you please make a video about checking the insole pad or using a tape measure. Just to make sure it's true to size and the real CM for UK 8.5 for 85 Vintage
I like the Stan Smiths very much, but I don't like the Primegreen material. Adidas makes you pay the same price for inferior material. For me reason enough to but Reebok sneakers.
Hey thanks for the video!! I really like the Club c 85 but I'm afraid they're too hot for summer, with that "velvet" like inside... What do you think? Thanks!!
Yes you’re right, the inner lining may feel warm and sweaty with minimal ventilation - not a shoe I’d wear out in a very hot day haha . Thanks for watching !
To be honest it’s tough to say. Although you can remove the included inserts, I wouldn’t necessarily consider these a wide shoe. It’s best that you try them in person in store to be sure. Good luck !
I’d say the reeboks - they have more ventilation holes . Stan smith leather can also cause some humidity inside your feet if you’re really susceptible to that issue
Been always a fan of Samba's (not a Stan Smiths fan) but after my first pair of Club Cs Revenge there's no coming back. A lot more durable and less expensive than Sambas.
Possibly. But the Adidas are clearly more stylish and, hence, more posh and worn by celebrities. My pick, however, are the Reeboks for two reasons: the soles are glued + stitched (only glued on the Adidas) and they use real leather ("vegan" = fake leather on the Adidas).
Yeah, the vegan leather on the Stan smiths have a bit too much of a glossy and cheaper appearance. They’re better in person, but still I understand what you mean haha
August 2021, I bought my first Stan Smiths.... And I lloooooovveee them! I wear them at least 4 times a week since I got them...... Therefor, the sole is getting thinner and thinner.... So, I thought... It was time to buy a new pair of whites! This time, I ordered the reebok C.... And I hope they feel about the same as the Stan's...... I'm soooo exited..., 😂
Adidas' soles are glued, while Reeboks' are glued + stitched. This detail alone means that, no matter how stylish the Adidas may be, I would immediately discard them and, without any doubt, go for Reeboks. (Plus the Reeboks are real leather!) Regards.
Reebok is the way to go, those Adidas look like they will easily get dirty & crease badly within the first hour while the C 85s will hold up for a week before they see dirt.
My guy, please do some real research on the Club C’s. They’re revered in the creative, alternative streetwear space for their minimalist yet structurally elegant design. Fashion Forward Always (Kevin) has some good videos on them that cover both the history and the cultural significance of the Club C.

I agree that the club C revenge is definitely a great simple yet classic sneaker. Thanks for sharing and for the comment!
I choose the Reebok because there aren't fakes of Club C floating around like Adidas Stan Smith.
Reebok club c 85 TV are unbelievable. Always had adidas before, after trying the 85 TV I'm not going back
Club C for me both in terms of comfort and style wise, never liked the Stan smiths personally
Stan smiths look like cheap white shoes from Payless
I’ve been wearing club c’s for over 20 years. Never a bad pair, always comfortable and stylish. They really go with all looks
Agree 💯
Great video!

club C for me, it is very lowkey yet comfortable. It speaks a lot of personality than the smith
I'm faithful to both. No comparison needed, both are the best. I have Club Cs first and then started on SS afterwards
Can’t go wrong with either option for sure 👍
You need break in period for the stan smiths, the C85 is pure comfort the moment you step in
What are the sizes in UK of these two shoes?
Stan Smith is UK 9, Reebok Club C is UK 8.5, but are both US 9.5
@@kickitwithdang thank you. 😀
Yow thank you! Just ordered mine in USMen 9.5, and was a bit paranoid til now. Thank you both for the question and the answer. 😂

Which is more durable?
i have wider feet and i wear orthotics. You think the stand smith will work?

Reebok more beautiful and more real
And budget friendly with so much quality ❤❤
can i remove the shoe liner?
For a summer shoe - which one breathes better?
I’d say the reeboks - they have more ventilation holes . Stan smith leather can also cause some humidity inside your feet if you’re really susceptible to that issue
i prefer club c i have the revenge version and i love them !!!
Those are definitely clean 🔥

I think, though, the Reeboks are better.
“Vegan leather” = plastic

i love choosing the lesser worn shoes... so C85 it is.
Synthetic leather 🤮 in south Florida is like putting your feet inside a garbage bag.. So sweaty and nasty
Yeah the ventilation isn’t that great haha
