This was the first movie I took my wife to while we were dating... it was scarring. lol So many things got put into people's mouths UN-naturally in this movie, it's hard to do it justice.
On the bright side at least you did get to put something in her mouth too.
Sam Raimi directed it... he kinda good with scaring people.

Power corrupts. Tbf, I think the gypsy meant to scare her, but dropped dead before she could remove the curse. Like she said "soon it will be you who begs me" implying she wanted the girl to beg on hands and knees.

Exactly. It wasn't the office worker's fault that she couldn't pay for her rent and it's not her fault that she started to beg and be "shamed" by the office worker, who only acted that way because that woman was crazy and frightened her. It also wasn't fair that this lady can basically attack this woman and try to kill her, and she gets off scot-free? Where is the justice in that? The office worker even recognized, in the end, her errors and thought that she could've handled the situation better, so she even grew and became a more moral person at the end of the film, but apparently, that isn't good enough, so this young person gets sent to hell while the old gypsy hag roams free, attacking and hurting all the people that don't comply with her demands. The hell or justice system or whatever in this film really pissed me off

There was a point in the film where she tracks the gypsy lady down, who has died, and the Gypsy's granddaughter tells her she "deserves everything coming to her". What?! Why?! Lol she deserves to be tortured for all time because grandma and her clan couldn't scrape enough cash up to pay the bills? Gtfoh lol. Then I realized it's just like real life, where people will damn you and try to ruin your life over mundane little things that really means nothing in the grand scheme. That gypsy lady and her granddaughter were scumbag nihilists.

I mean, if you were to take the idea of hell, that this film subscribes to, then surely at least make it make sense. I would've much rather see both go to hell, or honestly have the old lady go to hell for trying to murder someone who really didn't deserve any of this. If this was orchestrated by an all-seeing god, then in this movie he was just a prick

that’s so depressing, she went through so much just to lose
and did litteraly nothing to deserve it in the first place... the old lady had aton of family that cleary had more of an obligation to help her. She didn't even try to understand what the heck a bank is. Just kept acting like its a charity.
