I miss my MGA 1600 twin cam.it was amazing! Many Time- Rate- Distance trials and great fun! Thank you...Mine was a beautiful racing green, which looked blue!
Great stuff, love your videos. currently looking to acquire an MGA. since I live at altitude (Colorado) curious if you recommend I find one with the MGB engine installed? thinking I could use whatever extra HP I can get since our air is not nearly as dense as at sea level.
Is there any indication that your car was once painted black? My MGA that I had in 1967 was later fitted with an MGB engine and wood dash and had the same luggage rack. It had a roll bar that was removed. I can't trace my car any later than 1985 in Virginia. Maybe just wishful thinking.

Oh for a twin cam ... I wish.
Mine was originally an odd green color - repainted red before it came to me. I'd love to have a twin cam :-)
A solid state ignition system would be nice also. Beautiful car, thanks.

Yes Jim, if you can find one with the 1.8L MGB engine - also recommend the 5 speed transmission - either Ford or Mazda.

The VIN can tell you the original color - mine was tyrolite green. I much prefer the red.
