My mom flew PIA on 15th Jan on flight PK784 from Toronto to Karachi. I spoke to her when she landed there and the issues she told us were unimaginable. This flight was suppose to fly at 4pm the previous day and was 12 hrs delayed. As soon as the plane took off , the kitchen overflowed and water seeped in the passenger cabin. PIA crew had to put blankets on the floor so that the passengers can rest their feet down. Later , water started leaking from the overhead luggage bin. No one knew where the water was coming from.PIA only provided one meal during the flight which was a little before landing the plane. The crew was as telling passengers that they only have water or Sprite in drinks and nothing else. The flight was jam packed and only 4 toilet worked that were so dirty that you couldn’t use them. When they landed at 4am at Karachi airport , it took the crew 3hrs to unload the baggage. It was such a bad experience that we are now looking to change her return flight ticket to either Emirates or Turkish airlines. Us siblings didn’t get Smurf our mom to travel PIA in the first place however the convenience of direct flight made our mom choose this flight over others but never again.

Also if job is hard to find go to major cities like riyadh and damam jeddah and fing seing work there as i am 100 % sure u will find. I m still so heart broken on that story. 😓

Barmase Girl situation is quite complicated taking Iqama will giver her some leverage of living and working in KSA somehow legally. She should learn basic Arabic though to get any sale person jobs (English will be added benefit i can see everyone speaks English now in big cities Like Jeddah, Riyadh or Khobar) but getting passport will have its own benefit because it will allow you to travel abroad in any other countries as well, go with this option if you wanted to settle somewhere outside of Saudia. So difference is of about 5 hours.
Canada has direct flights with Pakistan PIA Lahore. British airways goes from islamabad to London still. Turkish Pegasus goes from Karachi to Turkey direct, Lahore, Islamabad turkish airlines goes to istanbul. But yes very limited routes

Junaid Bhai, call in feature would be great for ask gangiswag. The best way to do it would be to not do it live. Instead record it and include 1 question as a call in for each episode. This way you could have 2 regular questions and have the third question be the call in one. If someone dosnt want their voice to be recognised you can easily use a voice altering software. Lastly, this will eliminate the issue of coordinating live call in’s from different time zones. You can vet the storyteller beforehand and set up recording times that suit everyone.
junaid bhai regarding the sister in saudi arabia, i would advise her as a resident in saudi arabia that she should go for saudi iqama as the iqama will make her status legal and only then she can legally stay/work in saudi arabia. just getting pakistani passport wont help as she would be asked to travel if she will have passport only as her status of stay in saudia wont change. furthermore, if she travels my question is where to? she does not have any body in pakistan and her brother is not going to support her anyway it seems. so get the iqama and get your status in KSA to legal and then try to work and expand accordingly with the known environment in KSA. thanks

Hi Junaid Bhai - A lot of podcasts I listen to have a voice mail line that you can record and leave a message instead of sending an email. Then the host plays the call and then answers the question. It is not necessarily a dialogue but you could do a mix of this , mix of reading an email , also a call for that dialogue.

It will be better if you ask someone else to read the questions beforehand, write them out in his own words and narrate them to you, that will sort of give a voice to the questions. Will save time as half the time you are trying to decipher what someone has written. Set up a 10 minute timer as well as you tend to go on a stretch sometime. An hour long show will have 6 questions this way and in order to meet the 10 minute mark, you will also speak faster.
i used to travel from japan to karachi with PIA,singapore,cathay pacific,malaysia,garuda,phillipine,jal,korea,vietnam,srilankan and thai airways and now only thai and srilankan operating on same route
I would rather pay anyone, other than PIA, for indirect flights as I cherish my comfort, integrity and money. PIA needed competition to knock its confidence. The travel agents used to laugh (20 years ago) whilst charging premium for direct PIA flights. I opted to fly via an indirect route back then. Never regretted it, even once. The air hostesses acted like they owned the planes and the passengers. I for one am glad it is no longer operational. Good riddance.

For the Burmese girl, I think it may be better for you to take Saudi Aqama. Can you check if it is under some kind of refugee/asylum policy of Saudis, & because of that, maybe you get to stay in Saudi, they won't send you back to Burma. If you take the Pakistani passport, you may need a Kafeel or permanent job to stay in Saudi & in case you don't have it, they may sent you to Pakistan. And having lived in Riyadh, I can say that tailoring for Pakistani clothes is always in demand, get into local women's group and that will help. But please read up on the policy of Aqama being given to Burmese. Can you get Saudi healthcare on that? Do you need a kafeel sponsorshop on that etc.? InshAllah life gets better for you

At 14:32 when you talk about direct flights, I would respectfully disagree with you on PIA. PIA is only good for those who travel to Pakistan very rarely, like once in 5 years or those who are not paying out-of-pocket. But those who travel more frequently to/from Pakistan know that the entire system of PIA is broken. From ticket purchase to baggage claim and everything in between has the potential to give passengers nightmares which one would remember for a long time to come. I used to travel with PIA despite its bad reputation and expensive tickets in order to support it for 2 decades. But then the frequency and intensity of issues I started facing became too much to bear. Now I will happily pick indirect flight every time over direct PIA flight knowing that my whole experience from ticket purchase to baggage claim will give me fewer and lower-intensity headaches.

Hi Junaid Bhai - A lot of podcasts I listen to have a voice mail line that you can record and leave a message instead of sending an email. Then the host plays the call and then answers the question. It is not necessarily a dialogue but you could do a mix of this , mix of reading an email , also a call for that dialogue.

It will be better if you ask someone else to read the questions beforehand, write them out in his own words and narrate them to you, that will sort of give a voice to the questions. Will save time as half the time you are trying to decipher what someone has written. Set up a 10 minute timer as well as you tend to go on a stretch sometime. An hour long show will have 6 questions this way and in order to meet the 10 minute mark, you will also speak faster.

I would rather pay anyone, other than PIA, for indirect flights as I cherish my comfort, integrity and money. PIA needed competition to knock its confidence. The travel agents used to laugh (20 years ago) whilst charging premium for direct PIA flights. I opted to fly via an indirect route back then. Never regretted it, even once. The air hostesses acted like they owned the planes and the passengers. I for one am glad it is no longer operational. Good riddance.

For the Burmese girl, I think it may be better for you to take Saudi Aqama. Can you check if it is under some kind of refugee/asylum policy of Saudis, & because of that, maybe you get to stay in Saudi, they won't send you back to Burma. If you take the Pakistani passport, you may need a Kafeel or permanent job to stay in Saudi & in case you don't have it, they may sent you to Pakistan. And having lived in Riyadh, I can say that tailoring for Pakistani clothes is always in demand, get into local women's group and that will help. But please read up on the policy of Aqama being given to Burmese. Can you get Saudi healthcare on that? Do you need a kafeel sponsorshop on that etc.? InshAllah life gets better for you

PIA has not sold their routes, these are actually called slots. PIA has leased them to these airlines and they get paid for it.

I had this theory when i saw the decline happen in front of my own eyes. Atleast you are lucky you can sleep during your flight. I have tried everything under the sun to try and sleep and yet i am unable to. I end up putting all the screens to aircraft information and watch them. I love aviation but i am so bad at being flown.

At 14:32 when you talk about direct flights, I would respectfully disagree with you on PIA. PIA is only good for those who travel to Pakistan very rarely, like once in 5 years or those who are not paying out-of-pocket. But those who travel more frequently to/from Pakistan know that the entire system of PIA is broken. From ticket purchase to baggage claim and everything in between has the potential to give passengers nightmares which one would remember for a long time to come. I used to travel with PIA despite its bad reputation and expensive tickets in order to support it for 2 decades. But then the frequency and intensity of issues I started facing became too much to bear. Now I will happily pick indirect flight every time over direct PIA flight knowing that my whole experience from ticket purchase to baggage claim will give me fewer and lower-intensity headaches.
