This is Part 4 of our “Painting Your Countertops” series. In this episode we will apply our final coat of paint using the colors Wharf and Saltwater by Silk All in One Mineral Paint. This is going to give us the faux cement finish we are looking for.

How has it held up? Any scratches? I assume no heat to this surface. Great videos. Thank you

It's held up pretty well. There are some superficial scratches that we need to lightly sand and apply another coat of poly. We can put a hot cup of coffee directly on the surface without any issues but we don't put anything fresh out of the oven on it. Thank you for watching and commenting.

It's a tack cloth. You can get them at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc

Why not just skimcoat with real cement?
